Description

A PAYMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a fast payment system and method for enabling customers to make their payments in a safe way without having to share their payment card information with anyone or and establishment.
Background of the Invention
Today, internet use in commerce and shopping become widespread rapidly upon development and acceleration of communication technologies. Matter of security has always been accepted as one of the priority issues in shopping made in digital media. Customers usually hesitate over sharing their payment card information such as credit card, debit card in shopping made via Internet sites when they are carrying out payment transaction. The most commonly used method for payment in Internet shopping today is the method of sharing credit card information with the seller and the seller collecting the payment over bank. In order to increase security level in this method, there are solutions such as CHIP&PIN and 3D security in the state of the art and they are used very commonly. Despite the fact that security levels provided by the said solutions are quite high, sharing credit card information with the seller business causes a great danger. Customers who are sensitive about sharing credit card information tend to use virtual credit card. In addition, requirements for customers to get 3D password during payment transactions with 3D security also lead to need to memorize and store one more password for each card extra.
The Chinese patent document no. CN101071492 discloses a mobile phone fee payment method and system based on a mobile phone bank. The method which is developed by means of the invention disclosed in the said document comprises steps of: storing GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) or bank card number of the user, sending an SMS comprising payment query to the mobile bank, making the payment after evaluating the SMS transmitted to the bank and sending confirmation SMS to the phone.
The Chinese patent document no. CN102208069 discloses a system and method for making payment over a mobile application by using a mobile phone. The method which is developed by means of the invention disclosed in the said document comprises steps of: the user binding a mobile phone number to every bank card, the user inputting the mobile phone number and the password during the payment and selecting the bank card whereto the mobile phone is defined from the payment screen, transmitting the payment information to the mobile phone, waiting for the user confirmation and making the payment in accordance with the user confirmation.
The International patent document no. WO2014146286 discloses a system and method for making secure payment by real-time communication. In the said invention, the user's account information and the user's phone number are matched. When the payment query is transmitted to the communication terminal by the mediator, numbers are subjected to verification by a security server and payment is realized in the event that security verification is received.
Summary of the Invention
An objective of the present invention is to realize a fast payment system and method for enabling customers to make their payments in a safe way without having to share their payment card information with anyone or and establishment. Detailed Description of the Invention
The "Payment System and Method" realized to fulfil the objectives of the present invention is shown in the figures attached, in which:

The inventive payment system (1) for enabling customers to make their payments in a safe way without having to share their payment card information with anyone or and establishment comprises:
at least one mobile device (3) which has at least one subscriber identity module (2) that enables to connect to the GSM network for mobile communication, enables to give the financial transaction instruction that is required for the payment transaction belonging to the good and service desired to be purchased over an Internet site; at least one mobile network operator (4) which adds the MSISDN (Mobile Station International Subscriber Directory Number) information about the financial transaction instruction that is given by the mobile device (3);
at least one payment interface (6) which comprises the button (5) that enables to transmit the financial transaction instruction in order to make the payment with respect to the good or service desired to be purchased over an Internet site and the additional information such as amount, order list about the payment and which can be viewed over the mobile device (3);
at least one database (7) which stores the MSISDN information of the line being used by the subscriber identity module (2) that is included within the mobile device (3) together with the information of payment cards such as credit card, debit card, prepaid card that are suitable for making payment in a matched way;
at least one shopping server (8) which receives the request about the financial transaction instruction given by means of the button (5) included within the payment interface (6), together with the MSISDN information that is added by the mobile network operator (4) over the mobile network operator (4);
at least one finance unit (9) which determines the payment card information corresponding to the MSISDN information included in the request for receiving payment by comparing the MSISDN information is included in the database (7) with the MSISDN information included in the request for receiving payment that is transmitted to itself over the shopping server (8), receives payment by the related payment card information and shares the status of successful payment receive with the shopping server (8).
The mobile device (3) included in the inventive system (1) enables a user to get in contact with others by utilizing the services provided by a mobile network operator (4) by means of the subscriber identity module (2) owned by it. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the mobile device (3) is a smart phone. The payment interface (6) included in the inventive system (1) comprises a button (5) which enables transmission of the financial transaction instruction in order to make the payment with respect to the good or service desired to be purchased and is clicked (touched) over the mobile device (3). The payment interface (6) comprises additional information such as payment amount, order list and is viewed over the mobile device (3).
The database (7) included in the inventive system (1) stores the information of payment cards such as credit card, debit card, prepaid card that are suitable for making payment together with the MSISDN information of the line being used by the subscriber identity module (2) that is included within the mobile device (3) of the payment card holder in a matched way. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the mobile device (4) user can introduce a plurality of payment card to the database (7) over the finance unit (9).
The shopping server (8) included in the inventive system (1) receives the financial transaction instruction given by means of the button (5) included within the payment interface (6), together with the MSISDN information that is added by the mobile network operator (4) over the mobile network operator (4).
The finance unit (9) included in the inventive system (1) compares the MSISDN information included in the database (7) with the MSISDN information included in the request for receiving payment that is transmitted to itself over the shopping server (8), determines the payment card information corresponding to the MSISDN information included in the request for receiving payment as a result of the comparison transaction, receives payment by the related payment card information and shares the status of successful payment receive with the shopping server (8). In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the said finance unit (9) transmits the payment card information and the confirmation request for receiving payment to the mobile device (3) over the mobile network operator (4), receives the payment with the related payment card information after the payment confirmation taken from the mobile device (3) and shares the status of successful payment receive with the shopping server (8).
In the inventive system (1), the MSISDN information of the line being used by the subscriber identity module (2) that is included within the mobile device (3) is stored to the database (7) together with the information of payment cards such as credit card, debit card, prepaid card that are suitable for making payment. When it is desired to buy a good or service over an Internet site, the button (5) enabling to transmit the financial transaction instruction included in the payment interface (6) is selected in order to make the payment with respect to the good or service desired to be purchased. By adding the MSISDN information to the financial transaction instruction that is given by means of the button (5) included in the payment interface (6), the mobile network operator (4) transmits the request for the said instruction to the shopping server (8). The shopping server (8) transmits the request about the instruction to the finance unit (9) and the finance unit (9) determines the payment card information corresponding to the MSISDN information included in the request for receiving payment by comparing the MSISDN information is included in the database (7) with the MSISDN information included in the request for receiving payment that is transmitted to itself over the shopping server (8). The finance unit (9) transmits the confirmation request to the mobile device (3) over the mobile network operator (4) in order to receive payment with the payment card information, it receives the payment with the related payment card information after the payment confirmation received from the mobile device (3) and it shares the status of successful payment receive with the shopping server (8). Thus, it is ensured that the user can make payment via a single button (5) without any need to share information such as credit card, debit card, phone number by means of a MSISDN which is transmitted to the shopping server (8) at first and then to the finance unit (9) from there with the button (5) clicked on the payment interface (6) and stored in the database (7) as matched with a payment card information. The inventive method (100) comprises steps of:
the MSISDN information of the line being used by the subscriber identity module (2) that is included within the mobile device (3) being matched with the information of payment cards such as credit card, debit card, prepaid card that are suitable for making payment and recorded to the database (7) (101); creating the request about the payment instruction by selecting the button (5) included in the payment interface (6) in order to make the payment with respect to the good or service desired to be purchased (102);
the mobile network operator (4) adding the MSISDN information to the request about the financial transaction instruction that is created by selecting the button (5) (103);
the mobile network operator (4) transmitting the request about the instruction wherein the MSISDN information is added, to the shopping server (8) (104); the shopping server (8) transmitting the request about the instruction wherein the MSISDN information is added, to the finance unit (9) (105);
the finance unit (9) accessing the MSISDN information included in the database (7) (106);
the finance unit (9) comparing the MSISDN information that is included in the request for receiving payment transmitted to the finance unit (9) over the shopping server (8), with the MSISDN information included in the database (7) (107);
after the comparison, the finance unit (9) determining the payment card information corresponding to the MSISDN information included in the request for receiving payment (108);
receiving the payment with the related payment card information (109); the finance unit (9) sharing the status of successful payment receive with the shopping server (8) (110);
rejecting the payment request if the compared MSISDN is not recorded in the database (7) (111);
the finance unit (9) sharing the information about rejecting the payment with the shopping server (8) (112). In a preferred embodiment of the invention, after the step of comparing the MSISDN's (107), the said method (100) comprises steps of: the finance unit (9) transmitting the payment card information and the confirmation request to receive payment to the mobile device (3) over the mobile network operator (4) if the MSISDN is included in the database (7) (113), receiving the payment after the payment confirmation taken from the mobile device (3) (109), sharing the status of successful payment receive with the shopping server (8) (110), rejecting the payment if confirmation cannot be received (111), and the finance unit (9) sharing the information that the status of payment receive is unsuccessful with the shopping server (8) (112).
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the mobile device (3) gets in contact with the shopping server (8) over HTTP or HTTPS protocol. The finance unit (9) receiving the request about the said instruction accesses the MSISDN information included in the database (7) (106) and the finance unit (9) compares the MSISDN information that is included in the request for receiving payment transmitted to itself over the shopping server (8), with the MSISDN information included in the database (7) (107). If it is detected that the MSISDN is included in the database (7), the finance unit (9) transmits the payment card information and the confirmation request to receive payment to the mobile device (3) over the mobile network operator (4) (113). In the event that payment confirmation is received from the mobile device (3), the payment is received (109) and the status of successful payment receive is shared with the shopping server (8) (110). In the event that payment confirmation is not received from the mobile device (3) or the compared MSISDN's are not included in the database (7), the payment request is rejected (111) and the information that status of payment receive is unsuccessful is shared with the shopping server (8) (112).
It is possible to develop a great variety of embodiments of the inventive "Payment System (1) and Method (100); it cannot be limited to the examples disclosed herein and it is essentially according to the claims.

at least one mobile device (3) which has at least one subscriber identity module (2) that enables to connect to the GSM network for mobile communication, enables to give the financial transaction instruction that is required for the payment transaction belonging to the good and service desired to be purchased over an Internet site;
at least one mobile network operator (4) which adds the MSISDN (Mobile Station International Subscriber Directory Number) information about the financial transaction instruction that is given by the mobile device (3);
and characterized by:
at least one payment interface (6) which comprises the button (5) that enables to transmit the financial transaction instruction in order to make the payment with respect to the good or service desired to be purchased over an Internet site and the additional information such as amount, order list about the payment and which can be viewed over the mobile device (3);
at least one database (7) which stores the MSISDN information of the line being used by the subscriber identity module (2) that is included within the mobile device (3) together with the information of payment cards such as credit card, debit card, prepaid card that are suitable for making payment in a matched way;
at least one shopping server (8) which receives the request about the financial transaction instruction given by means of the button (5) included within the payment interface (6), together with the MSISDN information that is added by the mobile network operator (4) over the mobile network operator (4); and
at least one finance unit (9) which determines the payment card information corresponding to the MSISDN information included in the request for receiving payment by comparing the MSISDN information is included in the database (7) with the MSISDN information included in the request for receiving payment that is transmitted to itself over the shopping server (8), receives payment by the related payment card information and shares the status of successful payment receive with the shopping server (8).
A system (1) according to Claim 1, characterized by the mobile device (2) which enables a user to get in contact with others by utilizing the services provided by a mobile network operator (4) by means of the subscriber identity module (2) owned by it.
A system (1) according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized by the database (7) which stores the information of a plurality of payment cards that are suitable for making payment together with the MSISDN information of the line being used by the subscriber identity module (2) that is included within the mobile device (3) in a matched way.
A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims, characterized by the finance unit (9) which gets in contact with the mobile device (3) in order to demand confirmation so as to carry out the payment transaction.
A method (100) for enabling customers to make their payments in a safe way without having to share their payment card information with anyone or and establishment comprising the step of:
matching the MSISDN information of the line being used by the subscriber identity module (2) that is included within the mobile device (3) together with the information of payment cards such as credit card, debit card, prepaid card that are suitable for making payment and recording them to the database (7) (101);
and characterized by the steps of:
creating the request about the payment instruction by selecting the button (5) included in the payment interface (6) in order to make the payment with respect to the good or service desired to be purchased (102); the mobile network operator (4) adding the MSISDN information to the request about the financial transaction instruction that is created by selecting the button (5) (103);
the mobile network operator (4) transmitting the request about the instruction wherein the MSISDN information is added, to the shopping server (8) (104); the shopping server (8) transmitting the request about the instruction wherein the MSISDN information is added, to the finance unit (9) (105);
the finance unit (9) accessing the MSISDN information included in the database (7) (106);
the finance unit (9) comparing the MSISDN information that is included in the request for receiving payment transmitted to the finance unit (9) over the shopping server (8), with the MSISDN information included in the database (7) (107);
after the comparison, the finance unit (9) determining the payment card information corresponding to the MSISDN information included in the request for receiving payment (108);
receiving the payment with the related payment card information (109); the finance unit (9) sharing the status of successful payment receive with the shopping server (8) (110);
rejecting the payment request if the compared MSISDN is not recorded in the database (7) (111);
the finance unit (9) sharing the information about rejecting the payment with the shopping server (8) (112).
6. A method (100) according to Claim 5, characterized by the step of the finance unit (9) demanding confirmation from the mobile device (3) in order to make the payment if it is determined that the MSISDN is included in the database (7) after the step of comparing the MSISDN information (107).
7. A method (100) according to Claim 6, characterized by the step of making the payment in the event that confirmation is received from the mobile device (3) (109).
8. A method (100) according to Claim 7, characterized by the step of the finance unit (9) sharing the information that the payment transaction is successful with the shopping server (8) (110).
9. A method (100) according to Claim 6, characterized by the step of rejecting the payment if confirmation is not received from the mobile device (3) (111).
10. A method (100) according to Claim 9, characterized by the step of the finance unit (9) sharing the information that the payment is unsuccessful with the shopping server (8) (112).
11. A method (100) according to any of Claim 5 to Claim 10, characterized in that at the step of the mobile network operator (4) transmitting the request about the instruction wherein the MSISDN information is added, to the shopping server (8) (104), the request about the instruction wherein the MSISDN information is added is transmitted to the shopping server (8) by the mobile network operator (4).
