Abstract

The present disclosure provides a termination assembly for an optical and electric hybrid cable comprising a power cable and an optical fiber receiving tube for receiving an optical fiber. The termination assembly comprises: an optical fiber termination comprising a butting tube and a tube fitting for coupling the butting tube and the optical fiber receiving tube together in an abutment state; a power cable termination comprising an outer insulation sheath enwrapped around an end of the power cable and a metal connection piece electrically connected to a conductor core of the power cable; and a glove type sealing cap, one side of which is hermetically fitted over an outer protection sheath of the hybrid cable, and the other side of which has a first finger sheath hermetically fitted over the butting tube and a second finger sheath hermetically fitted over the outer insulation sheath of the power cable termination.

Termination Assembly for Optical and Electric Hybrid Cable CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION
This application claims the benefit of Chinese Patent Application No. 201410337029.9 filed on July 16, 2014 in the State Intellectual Property Office of China, the whole disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Field of the Invention
The present disclosure relates to a termination assembly for connection to an end of an optical and electric hybrid cable.
Description of the Related Art
In some particular applications, it is required to use an optical and electric hybrid cable, that is, a cable comprises both a power cable and an optical fiber. In prior arts, there is no report about a termination assembly for connection between such an optical and electric hybrid cable and an electrical apparatus and an optical apparatus.
In prior arts, a separate power cable is generally electrically connected to the electrical apparatus through a cold shrinkage type termination, which generally comprises an outer insulation sheath cold shrunk over an end of the power cable, a stress control cone between the outer insulation sheath and the power cable, and a metal connection piece electrically connected to a conductor core of the power cable.
In prior arts, an optical splicing connection between two separate optical fibers is often achieved through an optical fiber junction box. In one implementation, when splicing two optical fibers, it is required to connect an end of each optical fiber to an optical fiber connector, and then mate the optical fiber connectors connected with the two optical fiber with each other via an optical fiber adapter, thereby achieving an optical splicing connection between the two optical fibers; however, the implementation for achieving such optical splicing connection has disadvantages such as complicated processes, higher cost. In another implementation, the optical splicing connection between two optical fibers is achieved in a fusion welding way, which also has the disadvantages such as complicated processes, higher cost due to requirements for components such as a fiber arrangement disk, a fiber winding disk, a thermal shrinkable tube and the like.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention is aimed to overcome or alleviate at least one aspect of the above mentioned problems and disadvantages existing in the prior arts. An object of the present invention is to provide a termination assembly for a connection between an optical and electric hybrid cable and an electrical apparatus and an optical apparatus. The termination assembly is simple in structure, easy to operate, and has a low cost.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a termination assembly for a connection between an optical and electric hybrid cable and an electrical apparatus and an optical apparatus, the termination assembly can effectively protect an power cable termination and an optical fiber termination, so that dust and moisture cannot enter the power cable termination and the optical fiber termination through a gap between the power cable termination and the power cable and a gap between the optical fiber termination and the optical fiber receiving tube respectively.
According to one aspect of the present disclosure, there is provided a termination assembly for an optical and electric hybrid cable comprising a power cable and an optical fiber receiving tube for receiving an optical fiber, wherein the termination assembly comprises: an optical fiber termination comprising a butting tube and a tube fitting for coupling the butting tube and the optical fiber receiving tube together in an abutment state; a power cable termination comprising an outer insulation sheath enwrapped around an end of the power cable and a metal connection piece electrically connected to a conductor core of the power cable; and a glove type sealing cap, one side of which is hermetically fitted over an outer protection sheath of the optical and electric hybrid cable, and the other side of which has a first finger sheath hermetically fitted over the butting tube and a second finger sheath hermetically fitted over the outer insulation sheath of the power cable termination.
According to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, the glove type sealing cap is a cold shrinkage type sealing cap.
According to a further exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, the glove type sealing cap is a thermal shrinkage type sealing cap.
According to a further exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, the optical fiber is inserted into the butting tube and the optical fiber receiving tube after the butting tube and the optical fiber receiving tube are coupled together in the abutment state.
According to a further exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, the optical and electric hybrid cable comprises one or more power cables; the termination assembly comprises one or more power cable terminations configured to be connected to ends of respective power cables of the optical and electric hybrid cable; and the glove type sealing cap comprises one or more second finger sheaths configured to hermetically fit over the outer insulation sheaths of the respective power cable terminations.
According to a further exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, the optical and electric hybrid cable comprises one or more optical fiber receiving tubes; the termination assembly comprises one or more optical fiber terminations configured to be connected to ends of respective optical fiber receiving tubes of the optical and electric hybrid cable; and the glove type sealing cap comprises one or more first finger sheaths configured to hermetically fit over the butting tubes of the respective optical fiber terminations.
According to a further exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, all power cables of the optical and electric hybrid cable are enwrapped by a metal shielding layer, and an insulation filling material is filled within a gap between the metal shielding layer and the power cables; and the optical fiber receiving tube of the optical and electric hybrid cable is embedded within the insulation filling material.
According to a further exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, the optical and electric hybrid cable comprises three power cables and one optical fiber receiving tube; the termination assembly comprises three power cable terminations and one optical fiber termination; and the three power cables of the optical and electric hybrid cable are wound around one another with their circumcircles being tangent to one another.
According to a further exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, the tube fitting comprises: a tubular body comprising a first insertion port and a second insertion port opposite to the first insertion port; and a first elastic barbed part formed on an inner wall of the first insertion port and a second elastic barbed part formed on an inner wall of the second insertion port, wherein the butting tube and the optical fiber receiving tube are inserted into the tubular body from the first insertion port and the second insertion port respectively; the first elastic barbed part is configured to only allow the butting tube to be inserted toward an interior of the tubular body and to prevent the butting tube from being pulled out toward an exterior of the tubular body; and the second elastic barbed part is configured to only allow the optical fiber receiving tube to be inserted toward the interior of the tubular body and to prevent the optical fiber receiving tube from being pulled out toward the exterior of the tubular body.
According to a further exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, the tube fitting further comprises: a first elastic seal ring received on the inner wall of the first insertion port and configured to seal a mating interface between the butting tube inserted into the tubular body and the tubular body; and a second elastic seal ring received on the inner wall of the second insertion port and configured to seal a mating interface between the optical fiber receiving tube inserted into the tubular body and the tubular body.
According to a further exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, the tube fitting further comprises: a first gasket formed on the inner wall of the first insertion port, the first gasket being arranged on a side of the first elastic barbed part facing the inner wall of the tubular body for preventing excessive deformation or damage of the first elastic barbed part; and a second gasket formed on the inner wall of the first insertion port, the second gasket being arranged on a side of the second elastic barbed part facing the inner wall of the tubular body for preventing excessive deformation or damage of the second elastic barbed part. According to a further exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, the tube fitting further comprises: a first movable end head mounted in the first insertion port of the tubular body and comprising a first pressing portion facing the first elastic barbed part, the first movable end head being movable from a first position in which the first elastic barbed part is released to a second position in which the first elastic barbed part is pressed down, the first elastic barbed part being in a released state so as to only allow the butting tube to be inserted toward an interior of the tubular body and to prevent the butting tube from being pulled out toward an exterior of the tubular body when the first movable end head is in the first position, and the first elastic barbed part being pressed down by the first pressing portion so as to allow the butting tube to be pulled out toward the exterior of the tubular body when the first movable end head is in the second position; and a second movable end head mounted in the second insertion port of the tubular body and comprising a second pressing portion facing the second elastic barbed part, the second movable end head being movable from a first position in which the second elastic barbed part is released to a second position in which the second elastic barbed part is pressed down, the second elastic barbed part being in a released state so as to only allow the optical fiber receiving tube to be inserted toward the interior of the tubular body and to prevent the optical fiber receiving tube from being pulled out toward the exterior of the tubular body when the second movable end head is in its first position, and the second elastic barbed part being pressed down by the second pressing portion so as to allow the optical fiber receiving tube to be pulled out toward the exterior of the tubular body when the second movable end head is in its second position.
According to a further exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, the power cable termination further comprises a stress control cone located within the outer insulation sheath so as to prevent intensively discharging at the end of the power cable.
According to a further exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, one end of the metal connection piece of the power cable termination is pressed and connected onto the conductor core of the power cable; and the other end of the metal connection piece of the power cable termination is electrically connected to a terminal of the electrical apparatus.
According to a further exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, one end of the butting tube is coupled with the optical fiber receiving tube via the tube fitting in the abutment state; and the other end of the butting tube is connected with an optical fiber connector, to which an end of the optical fiber inserted into the butting tube is connected so as to be connected to an adapter of an optical apparatus.
In the termination assembly for the optical and electric hybrid cable according to respective embodiments of the present disclosure, respective power cable terminations and respective optical fiber terminations are sealed within respective finger sheaths of the glove type sealing cap and thus are protected, so that dust and moisture cannot enter the power cable termination through a gap between the power cable termination and the power cable and cannot enter the optical fiber termination through a gap between the optical fiber termination and the optical fiber receiving tube.
Further, in the above respective embodiments of the present disclosure, the butting tube is firstly coupled with the optical fiber receiving tube of the optical and electric hybrid cable by the tube fitting in an abutment state, then a whole optical fiber is inserted into the butting tube and the optical fiber receiving tube which have been coupled with each other in the abutment state, thereby achieving an optical connection between the optical and electric hybrid cable and the optical fiber termination. With the optical fiber termination of the present invention, the optical connection between the optical and electric hybrid cable and the optical fiber termination can be achieved easily and quickly by using the tube fitting, without an optical fiber junction box comprising components such as an optical fiber connector, an adapter, a fiber arrangement disk, a fiber winding disk, a thermal shrinkable tube and the like. Thereby, the fiber termination of the present invention is simple in structure, easy to use, and has a low cost.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION
Exemplary embodiments of the present invention will be described hereinafter in detail with reference to the attached drawings, wherein the like reference signs refer to the same or the like elements. The present invention may, however, be embodied in many different forms and should not be construed as being limited to the embodiment set forth herein; rather, these embodiments are provided so that the present invention will be thorough and complete, and will fully convey the concept of the disclosure to those skilled in the art.
Furthermore, in the following detailed description, for purposes of explanation, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the disclosed embodiments. It will be apparent, however, that one or more embodiments may be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, well-known structures and devices are schematically shown in order to simplify the drawing.
According to a general inventive concept of the present invention, there is provided a termination assembly for an optical and electric hybrid cable, comprising a power cable and an optical fiber receiving tube for receiving an optical fiber. The termination assembly comprises: an optical fiber termination comprising a butting tube and a tube fitting for coupling the butting tube and the optical fiber receiving tube together in an abutment state; a power cable termination comprising an outer insulation sheath enwrapped around an end of the power cable and a metal connection piece electrically connected to a conductor core of the power cable; and a glove type sealing cap, one side of which is hermetically fitted over an outer protection sheath of the optical and electric hybrid cable, and the other side of which has a first finger sheath hermetically fitted over the butting tube and a second finger sheath hermetically fitted over the outer insulation sheath of the power cable termination.
Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram showing an optical and electric hybrid cable 100 and a termination assembly 200 connected to an end of the optical and electric hybrid cable 100, according to a first exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure; Fig. 2a is a cross sectional view of the optical and electric hybrid cable 100 according to the first exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, showing that an optical fiber 130 has been not inserted into an optical fiber receiving tube 120 of the optical and electric hybrid cable 100; Fig. 2b is a cross sectional view of the optical and electric hybrid cable 100 according to the first exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, showing that the optical fiber 130 has been inserted into the optical fiber receiving tube 120 of the optical and electric hybrid cable 100.
In one exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in Figs. 1, 2a and 2b, the optical and electric hybrid cable 100 comprises three power cables 110 and one optical fiber receiving tube 120. As shown clearly in Fig. 2a, the three power cables 110 are wound around one another with their circumcircles being tangent to one another. A first metal shielding layer 102 is enwrapped around the three power cables 110, and an insulation filling material 101 is filled within a gap between the first metal shielding layer 102 and the three power cables 110. During manufacturing the optical and electric hybrid cable 100, one optical fiber receiving tube 120 is embedded in the insulation filling material 101.
In the embodiment shown in Fig. 2a, the optical and electric hybrid cable 100 further comprises a first insulation layer 103 enwrapped around the first metal shielding layer 102, a second metal shielding layer 104 enwrapped around the first insulation layer 103, and an outer sheath layer 105 enwrapped around second metal shielding layer 104. As shown in Fig. 2a, each power cable 110 comprises a conductor core 111, an insulation material layer (not shown) enwrapped around the conductor core 111, and a metal shielding layer (not shown) enwrapped around the insulation material layer.
In one exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, the optical fiber 130 may be inserted into the optical fiber receiving tube 120 after the optical fiber receiving tube 120 has been embedded in the insulation filling material 101. As such, it is possible to prevent the optical fiber 130 from be damaged due to excessively heating during moulding melted insulation filling material 101.
In one exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in Fig. 1, the termination assembly 200 for connection to an end of the optical and electric hybrid cable 100 mainly comprises an optical fiber termination, a power cable termination 400 and a glove type sealing cap 200.
Continued with reference to Fig. 1, in the shown embodiment, the optical fiber termination comprises a butting tube 140 and a tube fitting 300 for coupling the butting tube 140 and the optical fiber receiving tube 120 together in an abutment state. The power cable termination 400 comprises an outer insulation sheath 410 enwrapped around an end of the power cable 110 and a metal connection piece 420 electrically connected to a conductor core 111 of the power cable 110. One side (right side in Fig. 1) of the glove type sealing cap 200 is hermetically fitted over an outer protection sheath 105 of the optical and electric hybrid cable 100, and the other side (left side in Fig. 1) of the glove type sealing cap 200 has a first finger sheath 210 hermetically fitted over the butting tube 140 of the optical fiber termination and a second finger sheath 220 hermetically fitted over the outer insulation sheath 410 of the power cable termination 400.
In one exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, the glove type sealing cap 200 may be a cold shrinkage type sealing cap made of a cold shrinkage material.
In another exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, the glove type sealing cap 200 may be a thermal shrinkage type sealing cap made of a thermal shrinkage material.
In one exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in Figs. 1, 2a and 2b, the optical fiber 130 is inserted into the butting tube 140 and the optical fiber receiving tube 120 only after the butting tube 140 and the optical fiber receiving tube 120 are coupled together in the abutment state, thereby achieving an optical splicing connection between the optical and electric hybrid cable 100 and the optical fiber termination. As such, the optical splicing connection between the optical and electric hybrid cable 100 and the optical fiber termination can be easily achieved without any optical fiber junction box which is generally used in the prior art.
Fig. 3a is a schematic diagram showing the optical fiber receiving tube 120 and the butting tube 140 shown in Fig. 1, which are coupled with each other in an abutment state via a tube fitting 300; and Fig. 3b is a schematic diagram showing the tube fitting 300 of the termination assembly shown in Fig. 1 for coupling the optical fiber receiving tube 120 and the butting tube 140 in the abutment state.
In one exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in Fig. 1, 3a and 3b, the tube fitting 300 mainly comprises: a tubular body 301 comprising a first insertion port (left port in Fig. 3b) and a second insertion port (right port in Fig. 3b) opposite to the first insertion port; and a first elastic barbed part 311 formed on an inner wall of the first insertion port and a second elastic barbed part 312 formed on an inner wall of the second insertion port.
In the shown embodiment, as shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 3b, the butting tube 140 and the optical fiber receiving tube 120 are inserted into the tubular body 301 from the first insertion port and the second insertion port respectively. The first elastic barbed part 311 is configured to only allow the butting tube 140 to be inserted toward an interior of the tubular body 301 and to prevent the butting tube 140 from being pulled out toward an exterior of the tubular body 301; and similarly, the second elastic barbed part 312 is configured to only allow the optical fiber receiving tube 120 to be inserted toward an interior of the tubular body 301 and to prevent the optical fiber receiving tube 120 from being pulled out toward an exterior of the tubular body 301.
Continued with reference to Fig. 3b, in the shown embodiment, the tube fitting 300 further comprises a first elastic seal ring 321 received on the inner wall of the first insertion port and a second elastic seal ring 322 received on the inner wall of the second insertion port. The first elastic seal ring 321 is configured to seal a mating interface between the butting tube 140 inserted into the tubular body 301 and the tubular body 301; and the second elastic seal ring 322 is configured to seal a mating interface between the optical fiber receiving tube 120 inserted into the tubular body 301 and the tubular body 301.
Continued with reference to Fig. 3b, in the shown embodiment, the tube fitting 300 further comprises: a first gasket 331 formed on the inner wall of the first insertion port and a second gasket 332 formed on the inner wall of the first insertion port. The first gasket 331 is arranged on a side of the first elastic barbed part 311 facing the inner wall of the tubular body 301, for preventing excessive deformation or damage of the first elastic barbed part
31 1. The second gasket 332 is arranged on a side of the second elastic barbed part 312 facing the inner wall of the tubular body 301, for preventing excessive deformation or damage of the second elastic barbed part 312.
Continued with reference to Fig. 3b, in the shown embodiment, the tube fitting 300 further comprises: a first movable end head 341 mounted in the first insertion port of the tubular body 301 and a second movable end head 342 mounted in the second insertion port of the tubular body 301.
In one exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, the first movable end head 341 comprises a first pressing portion 3410 facing the first elastic barbed part 31 1. The first movable end head 341 is movable from a first position in which the first elastic barbed part 31 1 is released, to a second position in which the first elastic barbed part 31 1 is pressed down. When the first movable end head 341 is in the first position, the first elastic barbed part 311 is in a released state so as to only allow the butting tube 140 to be inserted toward the interior of the tubular body 301 and to prevent the butting tube 140 from being pulled out toward the exterior of the tubular body 301. When the first movable end head 341 is in the second position, the first elastic barbed part 31 1 is pressed down by the first pressing portion 3410 so as to allow the butting tube 140 to be pulled out toward the exterior of the tubular body 301.
Similarly, in one exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, the second movable end head 342 comprises a second pressing portion 3420 facing the second elastic barbed part
312. The second movable end head 342 is movable from a first position in which the second elastic barbed part 312 is released, to a second position in which the second elastic barbed part 312 is pressed down. When the second movable end head 342 is in its first position, the second elastic barbed part 312 is in a released state so as to only allow the optical fiber receiving tube 120 to be inserted toward an interior of the tubular body 301 and to prevent the optical fiber receiving tube 120 from being pulled out toward an exterior of the tubular body 301. When the second movable end head 342 is in its second position, the second elastic barbed part 312 is pressed down by the second pressing portion 3420 so as to allow the optical fiber receiving tube 120 to be pulled out toward the exterior of the tubular body 301.
It is noted that in the present invention, the tube fitting is not limited to those in the shown embodiments, and may comprise other structures, as long as it is configured to couple the optical fiber receiving tube 120 with the butting tube 140 in an abutment state.
Although not shown, in one exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, the power cable termination 400 further comprises a stress control cone located within the outer insulation sheath 410 so as to provide an uniform electric field at the end of the power cable 1 10, thereby preventing intensively discharging at the end of the power cable 1 10. In one exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in Figs. 1, 2a and 2b, one end of the metal connection piece 420 of the power cable termination 400 is pressed and connected onto the conductor core 111 of the power cable 110; and the other end of the metal connection piece 420 of the power cable termination 400 is electrically connected to a terminal of the electrical apparatus.
In one exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in Figs. 1, 2a and 2b, one end of the butting tube 140 is coupled with the optical fiber receiving tube 120 via the tube fitting 300 in the abutment state; and the other end of the butting tube 140 is connected with an optical fiber connector (not shown), to which an end of the optical fiber 130 inserted into the butting tube 140 is connected so as to be connected to an adapter of an optical apparatus.
Fig. 4 is a schematic diagram showing an optical and electric hybrid cable 100' and a termination assembly 200' connected to an end of the optical and electric hybrid cable 100', according to a second exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure.
In the embodiment shown in Fig. 4, the optical and electric hybrid cable 100'comprises one power cable 110 and one optical fiber receiving tube 120. Correspondingly, in the embodiment shown in Fig. 4, the termination assembly for connecting the optical and electric hybrid cable 100' comprises one power cable termination 400 and one optical fiber termination.
The main difference between the second embodiment shown in Fig. 4 and the first embodiment shown in Fig. 1 is in that the optical and electric hybrid cable 100' only comprises one power cable 110, and the termination assembly for connecting the optical and electric hybrid cable 100' only comprises one power cable termination 400 connected to an end of the one power cable 110. Except this, other components in the second embodiment shown in Fig. 4 are the same as those in the first embodiment shown in Fig. 1.
However, it should be noted that the present disclosure is not limited to the illustrated embodiments, the optical and electric hybrid cable may comprise any number of power cables and any number of optical fiber receiving tubes, and correspondingly, the termination assembly may comprise any number of power cable terminations and any number of optical fiber terminations. That is, the numbers of the power cable and the optical fiber receiving tube included in the optical and electric hybrid cable, and the numbers of the power cable termination and the optical fiber termination may be determined as actually required, instead of being limited to the embodiments shown in Figs. 1 to 4. For example, each optical and electric hybrid cable may comprise two, four or more power cables, and each optical and electric hybrid cable may comprise two, three or more optical fiber receiving tubes. Correspondingly, the termination assembly for connection to the end of the optical and electric hybrid cable may comprise two, four or more power cable terminations and two, three or more optical fiber terminations. It will be appreciated by those skilled in the art the above described embodiments are exemplary, and may be improved by those skilled in the art. The structures described in various embodiments may be combined freely without conflict in arrangement or principle.
Although the present disclosure has been described in conjunction with the attached drawings, the embodiments shown in the drawings are only intended to exemplarily illustrate preferred embodiments of the present invention, and should not be interpreted as being limitative to the present invention.
Although several exemplary embodiments of the general inventive concept have been shown and described, it would be appreciated by those skilled in the art that various changes or modifications may be made in these embodiments without departing from the principles and spirit of the present invention, the scope of which is defined in the pending claims and their equivalents.
It should be noted the term "comprise" does not exclude other element or step, and the term "a" or "an" does not exclude a plurality of elements or steps. Further, any reference number in claims should not be interpreted as being limitative to the scope of the present invention.

Claims

What is claimed is:
1. A termination assembly for an optical and electric hybrid cable (100) comprising a power cable (110) and an optical fiber receiving tube (120) for receiving an optical fiber (130),
wherein the termination assembly comprises:
an optical fiber termination comprising a butting tube (140) and a tube fitting (300) for coupling the butting tube (140) and the optical fiber receiving tube (120) together in an abutment state;
a power cable termination (400) comprising an outer insulation sheath (410) enwrapped around an end of the power cable (110) and a metal connection piece (420) electrically connected to a conductor core (111) of the power cable (110); and
a glove type sealing cap (200), one side of which is hermetically fitted over an outer protection sheath (105) of the optical and electric hybrid cable (100), and the other side of which has a first finger sheath (210) hermetically fitted over the butting tube (140) and a second finger sheath (220) hermetically fitted over the outer insulation sheath (410) of the power cable termination (400).
2. The termination assembly according to claim 1, wherein the glove type sealing cap (200) is a cold shrinkage type sealing cap.
3. The termination assembly according to claim 1, wherein the glove type sealing cap (200) is a thermal shrinkage type sealing cap.
4. The termination assembly according to claim 1, wherein
the optical fiber (130) is inserted into the butting tube (140) and the optical fiber receiving tube (120) after the butting tube (140) and the optical fiber receiving tube (120) are coupled together in the abutment state.
5. The termination assembly according to claim 1, wherein
the optical and electric hybrid cable (100) comprises one or more power cables (110); the termination assembly comprises one or more power cable terminations (400) configured to be connected to ends of respective power cables (110) of the optical and electric hybrid cable (100); and
the glove type sealing cap (200) comprises one or more second finger sheaths (220) configured to hermetically fit over the outer insulation sheaths (410) of the respective power cable terminations (400).
6. The termination assembly according to claim 5, wherein
the optical and electric hybrid cable (100) comprises one or more optical fiber receiving tubes (120);
the termination assembly comprises one or more optical fiber terminations configured to be connected to ends of respective optical fiber receiving tubes (120) of the optical and electric hybrid cable (100); and
the glove type sealing cap (200) comprises one or more first finger sheaths (210) configured to hermetically fit over the butting tubes (140) of the respective optical fiber terminations.
7. The termination assembly according to claim 6, wherein
all power cables (110) of the optical and electric hybrid cable (100) are enwrapped by a metal shielding layer (102), and an insulation filling material (101) is filled within a gap between the metal shielding layer (102) and the power cables (110); and
the optical fiber receiving tube (120) of the optical and electric hybrid cable (100) is embedded within the insulation filling material (101, 201).
8. The termination assembly according to claim 7, wherein
the optical and electric hybrid cable (100) comprises three power cables (110) and one optical fiber receiving tube (120);
the termination assembly comprises three power cable terminations (400) and one optical fiber termination; and
the three power cables (110) of the optical and electric hybrid cable (100) are wound around one another with their circumcircles being tangent to one another.
9. The termination assembly according to claim 1, wherein the tube fitting (300) comprises:
a tubular body (301) comprising a first insertion port and a second insertion port opposite to the first insertion port; and
a first elastic barbed part (311) formed on an inner wall of the first insertion port and a second elastic barbed part (312) formed on an inner wall of the second insertion port,
wherein the butting tube (140) and the optical fiber receiving tube (120) are inserted into the tubular body (301) from the first insertion port and the second insertion port respectively;
the first elastic barbed part (311) is configured to only allow the butting tube (140) to be inserted toward an interior of the tubular body (301) and to prevent the butting tube (140) from being pulled out toward an exterior of the tubular body (301); and
the second elastic barbed part (312) is configured to only allow the optical fiber receiving tube (120) to be inserted toward the interior of the tubular body (301) and to prevent the optical fiber receiving tube (120) from being pulled out toward the exterior of the tubular body (301).
10. The termination assembly according to claim 9, wherein the tube fitting (300) further comprises:
a first elastic seal ring (321) received on the inner wall of the first insertion port and configured to seal a mating interface between the butting tube (140) inserted into the tubular body (301) and the tubular body (301); and
a second elastic seal ring (322) received on the inner wall of the second insertion port and configured to seal a mating interface between the optical fiber receiving tube (120) inserted into the tubular body (301) and the tubular body (301).
11. The termination assembly according to claim 10, wherein the tube fitting (300) further comprises:
a first gasket (331) formed on the inner wall of the first insertion port, the first gasket (331) being arranged on a side of the first elastic barbed part (311) facing the inner wall of the tubular body (301) for preventing excessive deformation or damage of the first elastic barbed part (311); and
a second gasket (332) formed on the inner wall of the first insertion port, the second gasket (332) being arranged on a side of the second elastic barbed part (312) facing the inner wall of the tubular body (301) for preventing excessive deformation or damage of the second elastic barbed part (312).
12. The termination assembly according to claim 11, wherein the tube fitting (300) further comprises:
a first movable end head (341) mounted in the first insertion port of the tubular body (301) and comprising a first pressing portion (3410) facing the first elastic barbed part (311), the first movable end head (341) being movable from a first position in which the first elastic barbed part (311) is released to a second position in which the first elastic barbed part (311) is pressed down, the first elastic barbed part (311) being in a released state so as to only allow the butting tube (140) to be inserted toward an interior of the tubular body (301) and to prevent the butting tube (140) from being pulled out toward an exterior of the tubular body (301) when the first movable end head (341) is in the first position, and the first elastic barbed part (311) being pressed down by the first pressing portion (3410) so as to allow the butting tube (140) to be pulled out toward the exterior of the tubular body (301) when the first movable end head (341) is in the second position; and
a second movable end head (342) mounted in the second insertion port of the tubular body (301) and comprising a second pressing portion (3420) facing the second elastic barbed part (312), the second movable end head (342) being movable from a first position in which the second elastic barbed part (312) is released to a second position in which the second elastic barbed part (312) is pressed down, the second elastic barbed part (312) being in a released state so as to only allow the optical fiber receiving tube (120) to be inserted toward the interior of the tubular body (301) and to prevent the optical fiber receiving tube (120) from being pulled out toward the exterior of the tubular body (301) when the second movable end head (342) is in its first position, and the second elastic barbed part (312) being pressed down by the second pressing portion (3420) so as to allow the optical fiber receiving tube (120) to be pulled out toward the exterior of the tubular body (301) when the second movable end head (342) is in its second position.
13. The termination assembly according to claim 1, wherein the power cable termination (400) further comprises:
a stress control cone located within the outer insulation sheath (410) so as to prevent intensively discharging at the end of the power cable (110).
14. The termination assembly according to claim 1, wherein
one end of the metal connection piece (420) of the power cable termination (400) is pressed and connected onto the conductor core (111) of the power cable (110); and
the other end of the metal connection piece (420) of the power cable termination (400) is electrically connected to a terminal of the electrical apparatus.
15. The termination assembly according to claim 1, wherein
one end of the butting tube (140) is coupled with the optical fiber receiving tube (120) via the tube fitting (300) in the abutment state; and
the other end of the butting tube (140) is connected with an optical fiber connector, to which an end of the optical fiber (130) inserted into the butting tube (140) is connected so as to be connected to an adapter of an optical apparatus.
