Abstract

A sliding sleeve tool (20) and its use in downhole operations. The sliding sleeve tool comprises a tubular housing (23) having one or more flow ports (21). A first sleeve (22) is slidably connected with a tubular housing, wherein the first sleeve may be moved from a first run in hole position covering the one or more flow ports to a second position to uncover the one or more flow ports to permit fluid flow between the wellbore and the interior of the tubular housing. The sliding sleeve tool further comprises a second sleeve (27) slidably connected with the tubular housing, the second sleeve being movable from a first position wherein the sleeve does not interfere with the operations of the first sleeve to a second position that covers the one or more ports of the outer tubular to prevent fluid flow.
