Description
DAMPENING TIE MEMBER
Technical Field
The invention is related to a dampening tie member, developed especially to dampen the forces arising from the lateral movements of vehicles, particularly agricultural vehicles, providing driving comfort and vehicle dynamics improvement.
Prior Art (State of the art)
Although the vertical movements of the equipments mounted on a three point suspension system on agricultural products are limited in accordance with the capacity of the hydraulic lift, the lateral movements are left to be controlled by the user. When the equipment is not tied the lateral movement is not restricted, however when the equipment is tied, the lateral movement is limited in order to position the equipment according to the tractor track width. These members that enable restriction are called tie members.
The forces which arise from the lateral movements during driving and which are at a distance from the center of gravity of the vehicle, affects the equipment driving dynamics. Equipments that are left, without applying any restrictions on them cause the lateral forces to increase even more. This situation makes it essential for various studies to be carried out in order to provide vehicle dynamics and driving comfort by dampening the forces arising from these lateral movements. According to the invention subject to the application numbered TR2009/02516 within the known state of the art, a cotton picking machine that enables easier usage in relation to coupling by means of coupling members to the tractor is described. Said invention is useful in that cotton does not need to be hand-picked and the cotton is coupled to the tractor outlet system of the cotton picking machine by means of a two point coupling apparatus. This coupling piece provides power and motion transfer from the tractor to the units, and provides easy maneuvering during sharp curves or tight turns.
According to the invention subject to the application numbered CN202873285 U within the known state of the art related to the present invention, a mechanism used in agricultural machines, that is adjustable and that can carry out lateral swerving is described. The mechanism that provides said lateral movement is coupled to the tractor by means of tie member handles. A four handle mechanism is used in this invention and it comprises a hydraulic motion mechanism. Besides this, the invention which is described below, explains a tie member which can be mounted and dismounted by being controlled completely by the user without using a mechanism that necessitates hydraulic force.
The invention subject to the patent document numbered WO2013090826 Al is related to a soil ploughing hardware. It especially describes agricultural vehicles that plough soil rotationally (at a lateral plane). Said invention is a system that provides stability and easier maneuvering at horizontal and forward directions of a rotational tray mounted on agricultural vehicles.
The present invention comprises basic differences that differentiate from pin connected tie or tie chains present in the known state of the art. It can be perceived that generally equipments that necessitate power such as hydraulic cylinders are used in the prior art. In spite of this the present invention describes a tie member which is solely controlled by the user and which can be used when desired. Together with this, it also has a different location from the mechanisms present on equipments within similar applications described above. The present invention, differs from the inventions of the prior art due its above mentioned aspects and characteristics.
The aim of the invention and brief description
The aim of the invention is not directing the equipment it is connected to but to dampen the forces that arise from the equipment motion and by this means to improve lateral vehicle dynamics and driving comfort.
Another aim of the invention is to provide a dampening tie member that can be mounted and dismounted and which can be used when desired by the user.
The present invention is related to a dampening tie member that allows lateral movement of the equipment it is connected to and it comprises an adjustment screw that is controlled solely by the user. A tie member described within this invention comprises an adjustment rod with holes on it, at least a pin and at least an adjusting screw.

Detailed description of the Invention
The present invention is related to a dampening tie member (10), developed especially to dampen the forces arising from the lateral movements of vehicles, particularly agricultural vehicles, providing driving comfort and vehicle dynamics improvement.
In figure 1, a blown up view of the dampening tie member (10) subject to the invention is given. Said tie member (10) comprises a tie body (1), an adjustment rod (2) at least a pin (3) and at least an adjustment screw (4). Said tie body (1) preferably has a cylindrical channel structure, and it has a ball joint at one end. There are holes on said adjustment rod (2). Said adjustment screw (4), can enter through the opening provided at the end of the ball joint of the tie body (1).
In figure 2, a dampening tie member (10) positioned in order to be coupled to the equipment (5) which is to be hung on to the three point suspension system (6) can be seen. Said tie body (1) is fixed to the body of the vehicle by means of a ball joint. During this time, the adjustment rod (2) is connected to the three point suspension system (6) such that it has two degrees for freedom. The pin (3) is inserted into the holes provided on the adjustment rod (2) in order to fix the lateral position of the equipment (5). A general view of
the dampening tie member (10) obtained such that its connections have been carried out in itself has been shown in Figure 3.
After the connection between the vehicle body and the suspension handles have been provided the channel diameter on the tie body (1) is changed in accordance with the weight of the equipment (5) using the adjustment screw (4). By this means the rigidness of the dampening tie member (10) is adjusted. When said channel is completely closed by the aid of said adjustment screw (4), the system is completely rigid.
Any kind of mechanism can be used in order to control the adjustment screw (4) described in the present invention and it is used to be completely dependent to the user and it also provides a dampening tie which can be mounted and dismantled. Only the user controls the adjustment screw (4) and the user can change the tightness of the screw (4) in connection to various variables.
By means of the present invention the equipment is not allowed to move freely under soil. As a result by means of a dampening tie member (10) subject to the invention, the forces arising due to the lateral movement of the vehicle is absorbed and vehicle dynamics and driving comfort is improved.
