Description

シールドコネクタ
 本明細書によって開示される技術は、シールドコネクタに関する。
従来、機器のケースに取り付けられるシールドコネクタとして、例えば下記特許文献1に記載のものが知られている。機器のケースには、シールドコネクタの電線が通される電線通し孔が貫通して形成されている。また、電線通し孔の上部には、固定片受け面が形成されており、シールドコネクタを機器のケースに取り付けると、同シールドコネクタのシールドシェルが固定片受け面上に重ねられてボルト締結されるようになっている。

 しかしながら、上記のシールドシェルは、電線通し孔の上部に位置する固定片受け面にボルト締結されているため、電線が上方に振られてシールドシェルが変形して斜め上方に傾いた姿勢になる。
 本明細書によって開示される技術は上記のような事情に基づいて完成されたものであって、電線が振られた場合であってもシールドシェルを変形しにくくさせることを目的とする。
 本明細書によって開示される技術は、機器のケースに取り付けられるとともに電線が引き出されたシールドコネクタであって、電線を覆うシールド部材の端部に取り付けられるシールドシェルを備え、このシールドシェルは、シェル本体と、このシェル本体からケース側に突出して同ケースに設けられた固定片受け面にボルト締結される固定片とを備えて構成され、固定片は、シェル本体に対して補強リブによって補強されている構成とした。
 このような構成によると、電線が振られた際にシールドシェルが変形しにくくなるため、弾性片が弾性片受け部に接触した状態を維持しやすくなる。
 本明細書によって開示されるシールドコネクタは、以下の構成としてもよい。

 このような構成によると、アッパ部材とロア部材を別々に準備しておき、これらを組み付けることでシールドシェルを構成することができる。また、機器のケースの寸法公差が大きい場合であっても、アッパ部材とロア部材を組み付ける際に寸法公差を吸収することができる。
 ロア部材は、金属板をプレス加工したものである構成としてもよい。
 シールドシェルは、アッパ部材とロア部材をボルト締結によって互いに連結してなる構成としてもよい。
 このような構成によると、アッパ部材とロア部材を確実にシールド接続することができる。
 本明細書によって開示されるシールドコネクタによれば、電線が振られた場合であってもシールド性能を向上させることができる。

 実施形態のシールドコネクタ10について、図1ないし図10の図面を参照しながら説明する。本実施形態のシールドコネクタ10は、機器(例えば、ハイブリッド自動車や電気自動車等の車両のインバータやモータ等)のシールドケース160に取り付けられるものである。シールドケース160の内部には、図示しない機器側コネクタが配設されており、この機器側コネクタには、図示しないものの、タブ状をなす待受端子が設けられている。
 シールドコネクタ10は、機器側コネクタに嵌合可能とされている。なお、以下において上下方向は、図4の上下方向を基準として説明する。また、前後方向については、図4の左右方向を基準とし、左方(機器側コネクタとの嵌合方向)を前方とし、右方(機器側コネクタとの離脱方向)を後方として説明する。
 機器は、導電性材料からなるシールドケース160の内部に機器本体を収容したものである。図3に示すように、シールドケース160は、その内外を貫通する形態で開口してなるフード部161を有しており、このフード部161の内部が取付孔163とされている。なお、機器については、シールドケース160の一部のみを図示し、他の部分は図面上省略されている。
 シールドケース160におけるフード部161の上方には、図1に示すように、取付ボルト120が締め込まれる被取付部162が形成されている。この被取付部162の上面には、図示しないボルト孔が開口して形成されており、このボルト孔の内周面には、雌ねじが形成されている。したがって、被取付部162のボルト孔には、取付ボルト120が螺合可能とされている。
 シールドコネクタ10は、図6および図9に示すように、合成樹脂製のハウジング20、このハウジング20を覆うシールドシェル30、ハウジング20の内部に配設された内部導電部材50、電線Wの端末に接続された中継端子70などを備えて構成されている。また、図1および図3に示すように、シールドコネクタ10における電線Wが引き出された電線引出部11には、例えば編組線等のシールド部材12が固着され、このシールド部材12によって複数の電線Wが導電路に沿って一括して覆われている。また、電線引出部11には、シールド部材12を覆って保護するゴムブーツ13が装着されている。
 内部導電部材50は、図6に示すように、例えば編組線等からなる柔軟導体51、この柔軟導体51の前端に接続された接続端子52、柔軟導体51の後端に接続されたL字端子53などを備えて構成されている。接続端子52は、機器の待受端子に対して弾性的に接触する弾性接触片を内部に有する角筒部と、柔軟導体51に圧着もしくは溶接によって接続されるバレル部と、を前後方向に並べて配置した構成とされている。
 ハウジング20は合成樹脂製で、図8に示すように、全体として略L字状をなし、一端が前方に突出するとともに、他端が下方に突出する形態をなしている。電線引出部11の内部に配されたゴム栓収容部23は、ハウジング20の他端に形成されており、電線引出部11から電線Wが下方に引き出されている。一方、ハウジング20の一端には、機器の取付孔163に嵌合可能な嵌合部21が形成されている。さらに、この嵌合部21の前端には、接続端子52を内部に収容する端子収容部22がリテーナ28によって前方に抜け止めされた状態で装着されている。この端子収容部22は、機器の待受端子と接続端子52とを接続するに際して嵌合部21の取付孔163に対する嵌合方向と交差する方向に遊動可能とされている。
 中継端子70は、図9に示すように、固定ねじ140が挿通される端子部71と、電線Wの端末に露出した芯線が接続されるバレル部72と、を上下方向に並べて配置した構成とされている。なお、電線Wの芯線とバレル部72の接続は、圧着に限らず、溶接等の他の種々の公知の接続方法によることも可能である。
 ゴム栓収容部23の内部には、ゴム栓80およびゴム栓押さえ90が収容される収容空間が形成されている。このゴム栓収容部23の収容空間は、ハウジング20の内部に連通している。ゴム栓80は各電線Wを個別に防水するゴム材からなるシール材とされ、ゴム栓収容部23の内周面に密着してハウジング20の内部をシールしつつ、ゴム栓押さえ90によってゴム栓収容部23の収容空間内に保持されている。
 図6に示すように、ハウジング20において嵌合部21とゴム栓収容部23の間に位置する略直角の角部の内部には端子固定部24が配され、この端子固定部24には、固定ナット25が圧入されている。この固定ナット25に、L字端子53と中継端子70を重ねて配置し、固定ねじ140を挿通させて固定ナット25に締め込むことにより、L字端子53と中継端子70が導通可能に接続される。
 同じく図6に示すように、ハウジング20において端子固定部24の後方には、カバー60が装着される作業孔62が形成されている。カバー60は、作業孔62の内周面に密着してハウジング20の内部をシールするゴムリング61を備えている。作業孔62からカバー60が外された状態では、作業孔62から一対の固定ねじ140が外部に臨むため、作業孔62から六角レンチなどの工具を挿入して固定ねじ140の締結作業を容易に行うことができる。作業終了後は、作業孔62にカバー60を嵌着することでハウジング20の内部をシール状態に保持することができる。
 ハウジング20は導電性の金属材からなるシールドシェル30によって覆われており、このシールドシェル30は、図3および図4に示すように、ロア部材100とアッパ部材110を互いに組み付けることによって構成されている。また、シールドシェル30は、電線Wを覆うシールド部材12の端部に取り付けられている。ロア部材100は、アルミニウムやアルミニウム合金等の金属板材をプレス加工して形成したものであり、アッパ部材110は、アルミニウムやアルミニウム合金等の金属からなり、ダイキャストによって形成したものである。
 ロア部材100は、主にゴム栓収容部23を覆う形態とされ、アッパ部材110は、主に嵌合部21と端子固定部24を覆う形態とされている。また、アッパ部材110は、その主要部をなすシェル本体115を有し、このシェル本体115には、シールドケース160の左右一対の被取付部162の上面164に載置される左右一対の固定片111が形成されている。図7に示すように、各固定片111には、それぞれボルト挿通孔112が貫通して形成されている。
 ハウジング20の上面には、図8に示すように、固定ナット25が圧入されたシェル固定部26が形成されている。一方、ハウジング20の後面には、固定ナット25が圧入されたシェル連結部27が形成されている。
 シェル固定部26には、アッパ部材110が載置されており、このアッパ部材110の上面の略中央に形成されたねじ挿通孔に取付ねじ130を貫通させて固定ナット25に締め込むことにより、アッパ部材110がハウジング20に固定されている。また、シェル連結部27には、ロア部材100とアッパ部材110が重ねて配置されており、両部材100、110に形成されたねじ挿通孔に連結ねじ150を挿通させて固定ナット25に共締めすることにより、両部材100、110が電気的に接続された状態で連結されてシールドシェル30として一体化され、かつ、ハウジング20に固定される。
 嵌合部21の外周面には、シールリング40が嵌着されている。このシールリング40は、図3に示すように、嵌合部21を取付孔163に嵌合させた際に、嵌合部21の外周面と取付孔163の内周面との間で全周に亘って挟持される。これにより、シールドケース160の内部がシール状態に保持される。
 一方、ゴム栓収容部23の外周面には、シールリング41が嵌着されている。このシールリング41は、シールドシェル30のロア部材100をゴム栓収容部23に外嵌させた際に、ゴム栓収容部23の外周面とロア部材100の内周面との間で全周に亘って挟持される。これにより、ロア部材100の内部がシール状態に保持される。
 さて、本実施形態のシールドシェル30には、図1に示すように、弾性片101が設けられている。この弾性片101は、図3に示すように、ロア部材100の一部を切り起こすことによって形成されている。弾性片101は板状をなし、ロア部材100の前面から前方に突出しているため、上下方向に弾性変形可能とされている。一方、シールドケース160におけるフード部161の下方には、弾性片101と接触可能な弾性片受け部165が形成されている。
 弾性片受け部165は、シールドケース160の外面から後方に突出する形態をなしている。弾性片101の下面には、接点部102が叩き出しによって下方に突出して形成されており、この接点部102が弾性片受け部165に対して上方から押圧されるようになっている。このため、シールドシェル30とシールドケース160との接続は、左右一対の固定片111と弾性片101との3箇所で行われることとなり、シールド性能を向上させることができる。
 詳細には、シールドシェル30をシールドケース160に組み付けた当初では固定片111が被取付部162の上面164から少し浮いた状態となっており、この状態から固定片111を被取付部162にボルト締結していくと、このボルト締結に伴って弾性片101の接点部102が弾性片受け部165に接触して弾性片101の押圧が開始され、固定片111が被取付部162の上面164に当接することで、弾性片101の押圧が停止されるようになっている。このため、弾性片101の接点部102と弾性片受け部165の上面とは、十分な接圧をもって接続された状態となる。
 固定片111が被取付部162にボルト締結された状態では、弾性片101が弾性的に変形した状態となっているため、電線Wが上方に振られる等してシールドシェル30が斜め上方に傾いた姿勢となった場合には、弾性片101の撓み量が若干少なくなるものの、接点部102が弾性片受け部165に押圧された状態のままであり、シールド性能を維持することができる。
 アッパ部材110の上面には、左右一対の補強リブ113が形成されている。この補強リブ113は、固定片111とシェル本体115を連結する位置に配されている。また、補強リブ113は、シェル本体115から固定片111に近づくにつれて幅広となる略三角形状に形成されている。このため、電線Wが上下方向に振られても固定片111がシェル本体115に対して容易に変形しないようになっている。
 また、シェル本体115には、図5に示すように、前方に開口する形態をなすガイド溝114が形成されている。このガイド溝114には、シェル固定部26が進入可能とされている。つまり、ハウジング20とシールドシェル30を前後方向から組み付けると、シェル固定部26がガイド溝114を通って案内されるようになっており、シールドシェル30とハウジング20を正規の姿勢で組み付けることが容易になる。
 本実施形態は以上のような構成であって、続いてその作用を説明する。まず、2本の電線Wをロア部材100、シールド部材12、およびゴムブーツ13等に挿通した後に、各電線Wの端末に中継端子70のバレル部72を圧着する。また、柔軟導体51の一端側に接続端子52を圧着し、他端側にL字端子53を圧着して内部導電部材50を形成する。そして、端子収容部22の内部に接続端子52を後方から挿入し、この端子収容部22を嵌合部21の前端部に装着する。また、L字端子53を端子固定部24に載置し、中継端子70の端子部71とL字端子53とを重ねて配置する。
 一方、ゴム栓80をロア部材100の下端開口から嵌め入れ、このゴム栓80を保持するようにゴム栓押さえ90を装着する。次に、作業孔62から固定ねじ140を挿入し、端子固定部24の固定ナット25に締め込むことでL字端子53および中継端子70をハウジング20に固定する。この後、作業孔62にカバー60を取り付けて閉塞し、ゴムリング61によってハウジング20の内部をシールする。
 次に、ロア部材100をハウジング20のゴム栓収容部23に外嵌するように装着する。また、シェル固定部26をガイド溝114に挿通させることでハウジング20の背面側からアッパ部材110を装着する。すると、各部材100、110がシェル連結部27において重なって載置され、連結ねじ150をシェル連結部27の固定ナット25に締め込むことでロア部材100とアッパ部材110をハウジング20に固定する。また、取付ねじ130をシェル固定部26の固定ナット25に締め込むことでアッパ部材110をハウジング20に固定する。これにより、両部材100、110が一体化されたシールドシェル30が形成され、このシールドシェル30によってハウジング20が覆われる。この後、シールド部材12およびゴムブーツ13を電線引出部11に装着してシールドコネクタ10を構成する。
 続けて、ハウジング20の嵌合部21をシールドケース160の取付孔163に嵌合させ、アッパ部材110の取付部111をシールドケース160の被取付部162にボルト締結することでシールドシェル30をシールドケース160に固定する。これに伴って、弾性片101が弾性的に変形し、接点部102が弾性片受け部165の上面に押圧される。これにより、シールドシェル30は、左右一対の固定片111と弾性片101との3箇所でシールドケース160にシールド接続され、シールド性能を向上させることができる。
 以上のように本実施形態では、シールドシェル30の弾性片101をシールドケース160の弾性片受け部165に対してボルト締結方向に押圧して弾性的に接触させるようにしたから、電線Wが振られてシールドシェル30が斜めに傾いた姿勢になっても、弾性片101の弾性片受け部165に対する接圧が低下したり、弾性片101が弾性片受け部165に接触しなくなったりすることはない。したがって、電線Wが振られた場合であってもシールド性能を向上させることができる。
 固定片111は、シェル本体115に対して補強リブ113によって補強されている構成としてもよい。このような構成によると、電線Wが振られた際にシールドシェル30が変形しにくくなるため、弾性片101が弾性片受け部165に接触した状態を維持しやすくなる。
 シールドケース160に設けられた取付孔163に嵌合する嵌合部21を有するハウジング20を備え、このハウジング20の外面には、シールドシェル30がボルト締結されるシェル固定部26が突出して設けられており、シールドシェル30には、ハウジング20に組み付ける際にシェル固定部26を案内するガイド溝114が設けられている構成としてもよい。このような構成によると、ハウジング20のシェル固定部26をシールドシェル30のガイド溝114に通して案内することにより、シールドシェル30とハウジング20を正規の姿勢に組み付けやすくなる。
 シェル本体115は、アッパ部材110とロア部材100を備えて構成され、固定片111は、アッパ部材110と一体に形成されている一方、弾性片101は、ロア部材100と一体に形成されている構成としてもよい。このような構成によると、アッパ部材110とロア部材100を別々に準備しておき、これらを組み付けることでシールドシェル30を構成することができる。また、機器のシールドケース160の寸法公差が大きい場合であっても、アッパ部材110とロア部材100を組み付ける際に寸法公差を吸収することができる。
 ロア部材100は、金属板をプレス加工したものであって、弾性片101は、切り起こしによって形成されている構成としてもよい。このような構成によると、弾性片101を形成しやすくなる。
 シールドシェル30は、アッパ部材110とロア部材100をボルト締結によって互いに連結してなる構成としてもよい。このような構成によると、アッパ部材110とロア部材100を確実にシールド接続することができる。
 <他の実施形態>
 本明細書によって開示される技術は上記記述及び図面によって説明した実施形態に限定されるものではなく、例えば次のような種々の態様も含まれる。
 (1)上記実施形態ではロア部材100とアッパ部材110からなるシールドシェル30を例示しているものの、予めロア部材とアッパ部材が一体に形成されたシールドシェルを用いてもよい。
 (2)上記実施形態ではハウジング20を備えたシールドコネクタ10を例示しているものの、電線Wを挿通させるシールドシェルのみからなるシールドコネクタに適用してもよい。
 (3)上記実施形態ではアッパ部材110とロア部材100を共締めすることによってシールドシェル30を構成しているものの、アッパ部材とロア部材をハウジングに対して別々にボルト締結することでシールドシェルを構成してもよい。
 (4)上記実施形態では電線Wが下方に引き出されたL字形のハウジング20を例示しているものの、電線Wが後方に引き出されたI字形のハウジングを用いてもよい。

Claims (6)

  1.  機器のケースに取り付けられるとともに電線が引き出されたシールドコネクタであって、
     前記電線を覆うシールド部材の端部に取り付けられるシールドシェルを備え、
     このシールドシェルは、
    シェル本体と、
    このシェル本体から前記ケース側に突出して同ケースに設けられた固定片受け面にボルト締結される固定片とを備えて構成され、
     前記固定片は、前記シェル本体に対して補強リブによって補強されているシールドコネクタ。
  2.  前記補強リブは、前記固定片と前記シェル本体を連結する位置に配されている請求項1に記載のシールドコネクタ。
  3.  前記ケースに設けられた取付孔に嵌合する嵌合部を有するハウジングを備え、
     このハウジングの外面には、前記シールドシェルがボルト締結されるシェル固定部が突出して設けられており、
     前記シールドシェルには、前記ハウジングに組み付ける際に前記シェル固定部を案内するガイド溝が設けられている請求項1または請求項2に記載のシールドコネクタ。
  4.  前記シェル本体は、アッパ部材とロア部材を備えて構成され、前記固定片は、前記アッパ部材と一体に形成されている請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか一項に記載のシールドコネクタ。
  5.  前記ロア部材は、金属板をプレス加工したものである請求項4に記載のシールドコネクタ。
  6.  前記シールドシェルは、前記アッパ部材と前記ロア部材をボルト締結によって互いに連結してなる請求項4または請求項5に記載のシールドコネクタ。
