Abstract

The invention relates to a winding device for winding a running web of material, having at least one cutter for slitting the web of material in the direction of the web into a plurality of web sections, and having a folding device for folding the edges of the web sections. In order to provide a winding device that allows winding a web of material with folded edges as easily as possible and without wrinkles, an oscillating device is provided, by means of which the at least one cutter can be moved transversely to the direction of the web.

The invention relates to a winding apparatus for winding a moving material web with at least one knife for severing the material web in the web direction into several partial webs and with a folding device for folding the edges of the part webs.

Such a winder is known from US 8.221, 298 B2 known and is used in particular for winding stretch film.

Stretch films are used for securing and packaging of individual products, for example on pallets. The goods are there wrapped in the stretch film, so that the goods are connected to each other by using the self-adhesive stretch film. It has been found that the edges of stretch film are often the starting point for a film during the demolition Umwickeins on the pallet. Even slight damage to the edge of a stretch film role can these make unusable, which is especially critical in hand film applications. Such damages arise, for example if the finished wound roll of stretch film during transport offend improperly or fall to the ground.

It is also known that the stretch film is formed by a folding or creasing of the edges before winding on a roll more resistant to damage and has fewer breaks in the sequence. However, a folding over of the edges also results in that the edges of the film roll in edge straight winding to be unduly thick and hard. When folding down the edges, it is consequently necessary to move the edges of the film on the roll cyclically laterally. This can be done for example by a lateral oscillation of the reel or by means of movable guide rollers at an angle to the single sheet section.

This object is achieved by an oscillating device with which the at least one blade is transversely movable to the web direction.

A major finding of the invention is, therefore, to oscillate the cutter bar used for the benefit section transverse to the direction of the film. The means for folding the edges according to the benefits section are either fixed on the same cutter bar and run according to the same oscillatory movement as the blades, or they are attached to a downstream of the cutter bar beam which performs synchronized with the cutter bar oscillatory motion. As a result thereof, the folded edges are moved laterally onto the resulting stationary winding and a winding with reduced edge build-up becomes possible. Stroke and frequency of movement can be set here and can be adapted as needed depending on web speed, film thickness and increasing roll diameter that optimal edge geometry is created.
