FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0002] The present invention generally relates to the Internet technology field and, more particularly, to an information recommending method, apparatus and system.
BACKGROUND
[0003] With the continuous development of Internet applications, users spend more and more time on the Internet. To allow the users to quickly obtain possibly desired information from the mass of information and to further improve the user experience and user interaction, information recommendation service needs to be provided to the users.
[0004] When a user has a download need, the user can use a third-party application, APP, to enter the detailed download page to perform downloading. However, with the current technology, the download content is obtained only in accordance with categories, the current relevant recommendation of the current download, the search keywords, etc., for recommending information to the users. It might be difficult to provide users with more accurate
recommendation of download contents, causing the issue of low actual conversion ratio of the recommended contents. [0005] The disclosed methods and structures are directed to solve one or more problems set forth above and other problems.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE DISCLO SURE
[0006] One aspect of the present disclosure includes an information recommending method. The method includes establishing an association relationship between recommended download content and a push condition, acquiring a user's web browsing behavior on a user terminal, and determining whether the user's web browsing behavior satisfies the push condition. [0018] In order to make the above and other purposes, characteristics, and advantages of the present invention to be more clearly and easily understood, the followings, together with accompanying drawings, describe in detail some embodiments of the present invention.
[0019] The embodiments of the present invention can be described from the perspective of realization of an information recommending apparatus, and the information recommending apparatus may be integrated into a server which achieves the information recommending. The server which achieves the information recommending may be a recommending server connected with a terminal, and the recommending server may further be referred as a background server for a terminal browser, such as a cloud server.
[0020] The embodiments of the present invention are directed to solve the low actual conversion rate problem of the recommended download contents, which is caused by the difficulties for providing a user with more accurate recommended download contents according to the current technologies. The disclosed embodiments may establish an association relationship between recommended download content and push conditions and, based on a user's web browsing behavior, determine whether the push condition is satisfied. When the push condition is satisfied, the recommended download content associated with the push condition is pushed to the user. Thus, by combining the user's browsing behavior with the recommended download contents, the disclosed methods provide the user with more accurate recommended download content and seamless download experience.
[0021] A browser, as a carrier for web pages, may initiate interaction with a user. Based on the user's current condition and the web pages the user is browsing, some relevant information of those web pages can be pushed to the user to remind or help the user to achieve certain functions.
[0022] An APP is the abbreviation of application. Due to the popularity of smart phones, APP may refer to any third party application program for smart phones, tablets, etc. Based on the APP's content and application, relevant information can be pushed or recommended to the user.
[0023] A web address, e.g., a Uniform Resource Locator or URL, is also known as the webpage address, which is a standard resource address on the Internet. A JavaScript, also known as ECMAScript, is often referred to as JS, which is a widely used client-side web development scripting language that is usually embedded directly into HTML pages to add interactivity behavior on the HTML pages.
[0024] Figure 1 shows an information recommending method according to embodiment one of the present invention. As shown in Figure 1 , the information recommending method may include the following steps.
[0025] At the beginning, in STEP 101, an association relationship is established between recommended download content and a push condition. A push condition may refer to a condition for a server to send certain information to a client terminal unilaterally.
[0026] The push condition may include, but is not limited to, a preset keyword included in a user's web browsing content, the user's web browsing content, and/or an analysis result of the user's network status reaching a predetermined threshold value. Specifically, the web browsing content may include: browsing web address, browsing webpage content, search keyword, etc. The user's network status may include: the service provider used by the user, the user login region, the user login time, the access environment (such as 2G network, 3G network, or Wi-Fi network, etc.), and the login terminal hardware device information, etc. For example, a push condition may be: when a user logs in a particular website for the third time, when a user searches a particular keyword, or when a user visits a particular website during certain time period, and so on.
[0027] Based on different web browsing contents or the user's or network status, different recommended download content may be triggered to be pushed out. The push condition and the recommended download content can be flexibly configured and adjusted according to actual needs to make the information push more flexible.
[0028] The recommended download content is the content needs to be prompted to the user to download, such as third party application (APP) information. Specifically, such content may include a news client-side, or a micro-blog client-side, etc. The recommended download content may include: name, version, date updated, file size, updated content, download address, screenshot, etc.
[0029] The association relationship between the push condition and the recommended download content can be set in advance. In other words, it can be set that, when a certain push condition is triggered, the corresponding recommended download content is to be pushed out.
[0030] Further, in STEP 102, a user's web browsing behavior is acquired. When a user generates a web browsing behavior, the user's web browsing behavior can be acquired in real time.
[0031 ] Specifically, in some embodiments of the present invention, acquiring the user's network browsing behavior may include: acquiring the user's web browsing content, or acquiring the user's web browsing content and the user's network status. That is, in some embodiments, only the user's web browsing content, such as the browsing web address, the browsing webpage content, and search keyword, etc., is acquired. In some other embodiments, both the user's web browsing content and the user's network status, such as the service provider used by the user, the user login region/area, the user login time, the access environment, and the login terminal hardware device information, etc., can be acquired. The user's network status can be acquired through a network gateway visited by the user terminal.
[0032] Further, in STEP 103, it is determined whether the user's web browsing behavior satisfies the push condition. If the web browsing behavior is determined to satisfy the push condition, based on the established association relationship between the recommended download content and the push condition, a push signal of this recommended download content associated with the satisfied push condition is then sent to the user terminal.
[0033] After the user's browsing behavior is acquired, the user's web browsing behavior can be analyzed to determine whether a push condition is satisfied. If the user's web browsing behavior satisfies a push condition, based on which particular push condition is satisfied, the recommended download content associated with such satisfied push condition can be obtained, and a push signal of this recommended download content is sent to the user terminal. The push signal may include: the recommended download content information, such as name, version, date updated, file size, updated content, download address, screenshot, etc.
[0034] After the user terminal receives the push signal, the user terminal displays the recommended download content in the current browsing webpage according to the push signal. Specifically, after the user terminal receives the push signal, the user terminal, by inserting a piece of JavaScript code into the user's current browsing webpage, displays the recommended download content within the user's current browsing webpage. Thus, the pushed information is not rendered by the user terminal browser itself. Rather, a piece of script code is inserted into the current browsing webpage. The pushed information is thus displayed together with the current browsing content to the user, without interrupting the user's web browsing behavior or affecting the user's browsing experience.
[0035] In certain embodiments of the present invention, determining whether a web browsing behavior satisfies a push condition may include: determining whether a web browsing content includes a preset keyword. If there is a preset keyword included, the push condition is satisfied; otherwise, the push condition is not satisfied.
[0036] In certain other embodiments of the present invention, determining whether a web browsing behavior satisfies a push condition may also include: analyzing a user's network browsing content and/or the user's network status, determining whether the analysis result reaches a predetermined threshold value. If the analysis result reaches the threshold value, the push condition is satisfied; otherwise if the analysis result does not reach the threshold value, the push condition is not satisfied.
[0037] Further, at least two push triggering modes may be used: a manual push mode and an active push mode. The manual push mode refers to the push performed according to a particular specified keyword, it may or may not consider whether an analysis result reaches a predetermined threshold value. On the other hand, the active push mode refers to the push based on the predetermined threshold value. When the user analysis result reaches the predetermined threshold value, the corresponding push is performed.
[0038] In certain embodiments of the present invention, the disclosed information recommending method may also include: establishing an association relationship between a user's network status and a push format. The pushing the recommended download content corresponding to the push condition may include: according to a user's network status and an association relationship between the user's network status and the push format, sending a push signal of the recommended download content corresponding to the satisfied push condition to the user terminal, wherein the push signal may also include the push format corresponding to the user's network status.
[0039] The user's network status may correspond to various push formats. For example: when a user is in a Wi-Fi network environment, the push format can be using video, image, or the like information for pushing operation. When the user is in a 2G network environment, the pushing operation can use the push format of text message. The push format may be adjusted according to the user's network status and, for the user's convenience, the most desired display format for the recommended download content can be selected.
[0040] Thus, the disclosed embodiments of the present invention establish in advance an association relationship between a push condition and a recommended download content, acquire a user's web browsing behavior in real time, analyze the user's web browsing behavior, and determine whether a push condition is satisfied according to the analysis result. When a push condition is satisfied, a recommending mechanism is triggered to recommend the recommended download content corresponding to the push condition. By combining the recommended download content with the user's web browsing behavior, more accurate recommended download content can be provided to the user, which increases the actual conversion rate of the recommended download content. In addition, based on the user's network status, such as the service provider used by the user, the network access environment, etc, the embodiment disclosed in the present invention may also use different push formats to push the recommended download content, improving the user's browsing experience. [0041] Figure 2 illustrates a flow chart of an information recommending method according to embodiment two of the present invention. As shown in Figure 2, the information recommending method includes the following steps.
[0042] At the beginning, in STEP 201, an association relationship between recommended download content and a push condition is established.
[0043] In STEP 202, a user's web browsing content is acquired.
[0044] In STEP 203, it is determined whether a preset keyword is included in the web browsing content. If a preset keyword is included in the web browsing content, a push condition is satisfied and the process proceeds to STEP 204. Otherwise, if a preset keyword is not included in the web browsing content, the process returns to STEP 203 to continue the determination.
[0045] In STEP 204, a push signal of a recommended download content corresponding to the satisfied push condition is sent to the user terminal according to the established association relationship between the recommended download content and the push condition.
[0046] This embodiment may be used for the manual push mode, which sets the push condition as whether a preset keyword is included in the web browsing content. Such manual push may be simple and effective.
[0047] Figure 3 illustrates a flow chart of an information recommending method according to embodiment three of the present invention. As shown in Figure 3, the information recommending method includes the following steps.
[0048] At the beginning, in STEP 301, an association relationship between recommended download content and a push condition is established, and an association relationship between a user's network status and a push mode/format is established. [0049] Further, in STEP 302, the user's web browsing content and the user's network status are acquired.
[0050] In STEP 303, the user's web browsing content and/or the user's network status are analyzed, and the obtained analysis result is used to determine whether the analysis result reaches a predetermined threshold value.
[0051] If the analysis result reaches the predetermined threshold value, the push condition is satisfied and the process proceeds to STEP 304. Otherwise, if the analysis result does not reach the predetermined threshold value, the push condition is not satisfied and the process returns to STEP 303 to continue with the determination.
[0052] In STEP 304, when the push condition is satisfied, or in other word when the analysis result reaches the predetermined threshold value, based on the user's network status and the association relationship between the user's network status and the push format, the push signal of the recommended download content corresponding to the push condition is sent to the user terminal, and the push signal includes the push format associated with the user's network status.
[0053] This embodiment of the disclosed method may be applied to the automatic or active pushing situation. In this embodiment, by analyzing the user's web browsing content and/or the user's network status, the push condition may be set as whether the obtained analysis result reaches the predetermined threshold value. For example, the push condition may be whether the user searches a keyword for the third time in a region. The user's multiple web browsing contents and/or the user's network status parameters can be used as the push condition, which makes the push condition more flexible and versatile, and the push for the recommended download content become more accurate and well targeted. [0054] The disclosed embodiment may further include pushing the recommended download content in different push formats based on the user's network status, providing the user with an appropriate display effect in combination of the user's network status. The user experience is improved, and the conversion rate of the recommended download content is increased.
[0055] The disclosed embodiment may further provide an information recommending system, and the system includes: a recommending server and a user terminal. The recommending server is connected with the user terminal and, specifically, the terminal can be a smart phone, a tablet computer, an ebook reader, a MP3 (Moving Picture Experts Group Audio Layer III) player, a MP4 (Moving Picture Experts Group Audio Layer IV) player, a laptop computer or a desktop computer, etc.
[0056] Based on the disclosed system structure, referring to Figure 4, the information recommending method according to embodiment four of the present invention includes the following steps.
[0057] At the beginning, in STEP 401, a recommending server establishes an association relationship between recommended download content and a push condition, and an association relationship between a user's network status and a push format.
[0058] In STEP 402, a user terminal obtains a user's web browsing behavior.
[0059] Further, in STEP 403, the recommending server acquires the user's web browsing behavior obtained by the user terminal.
[0060] In STEP 404, after acquiring the user's web browsing behavior, the
recommending server analyzes the user's web browsing content and/or the user's network status and determines whether the analysis result reaches a predetermined threshold value. If the analysis result reaches the predetermined threshold value, a push condition is satisfied and the process proceeds to STEP 405.
[0061] Otherwise, if the analysis result does not reach the predetermined threshold value, the push condition is not satisfied, and the process returns to STEP 404 to continue with the determination.
[0062] In STEP 405, when the push condition is satisfied, the recommending server can obtain the associated download content of the push condition based on the association relationship between the recommended download content and the push condition. Based on the user's network status and the association relationship between the user's network status and the push format, the recommending server can also obtain the push format corresponding to the user's network status. Further, the recommending server sends a push signal of the associated download content of the push condition to the user terminal. The push signal may include the push format associated with the user's network status.
[0063] In STEP 406, the user terminal receives the push signal of the download content associated with the satisfied push condition from the recommending server.
[0064] In STEP 407, according to the push signal, the user terminal displays the recommended download content within the current browsing webpage in the push format specified in the push signal.
[0065] Then, in STEP 408, the user terminal receives the download instruction entered by the user according to the displayed recommended download content, and downloads the recommended download content. [0066] The disclosed embodiment of the present invention describes the information recommending method from the perspective of information exchange between the
recommending server and the user terminal. The user terminal, according to the content of the push signal, may insert a piece of JavaScript code into the user's current browsing webpage. The inserted javaScript code may carry a clickable hyperlink (e.g. jump to a download page) or a functional code (e.g. a pop-up download dialogue box) to display the recommended download content. When the user needs to download resources, the inserted javaScript facilitates the user to initiate a direct download instruction and provides the user with a seamless download experience.
[0067] For example, as shown in Figure 5, when a user navigates a micro-blog website through a browser, a recommending server can acquire the user's web browsing behavior. If a push condition has been set in advance as pushing the corresponding micro-blog client download while the micro-blog is being visited, then the recommending server sends a push signal of the recommended download content (corresponding to the micro-blog client) to the user terminal. The user terminal displays the recommended download content, for example, the "download now" prompt as shown at the bottom of Figure 5, in the current webpage. The user can enter the download process by clicking on the prompt.
[0068] Further, when the user clicks the prompt, a download dialogue box may pop up immediately, as shown in Figure 6, or the browser enters into a download webpage, as shown in Figure 7, to facilitate the user to download the recommended download content directly.
[0069] Accordingly, in Figure 8, the disclosed embodiments of the present invention also provide an information recommending apparatus. As shown in Figure 8, the apparatus may include a first establishing unit 801, an acquiring unit 802, a determining unit 803, and a push unit 804. Other units may also be included. [0070] The first establishing unit 801 may be configured to establish an association relationship between recommended download content and a push condition. The acquiring unit 802 may be configured to acquire a user's web browsing behavior.
[0071] Further, the determining unit 803 may be configured to determine whether the user's web browsing behavior satisfies a push condition. The push unit 804 may be configured to, when the web browsing behavior satisfies the push condition, send a push signal of the recommended download content corresponding to the push condition to the user terminal based on the association relationship between the recommended download content and the push condition.
[0072] In certain embodiments, more specifically, the acquiring unit may be configured to acquire the user's web browsing content, or to acquire both the user's web browsing content and the user's network status.
[0073] In certain embodiments, the determining unit may include: a first determining subunit (not shown), which is configured to determine whether the web browsing content includes a preset keyword. If there is a preset keyword included, the push condition is satisfied; if there is not any preset keyword include, the push condition is not satisfied.
[0074] In certain embodiments, the determining unit may also include: a second determining subunit (not shown), which is configured to obtain an analysis result by analyzing the user's web browsing content and/or the user's network status and to determine whether the analysis result reaches a predetermined threshold value. If the analysis result reaches the predetermined threshold value, the push condition is satisfied; otherwise if the analysis result does not reach the predetermined threshold value, the push condition is not satisfied. [0075] In certain embodiments, the information recommending apparatus may also include: a second establishing unit (not shown), which is configured to establish an association relationship between the user's network status and a push format. The push unit may also be configured to send the push signal of the recommended download content corresponding to the push condition to the user terminal based on the association relationship between the
recommended download content and the push condition, the user's network status and the association relationship between the user's network status and the push format, when the web browsing behavior satisfies the push condition. The push signal may also include the push format associated with the user's network status.
[0076] Accordingly, in Figure 9, the disclosed embodiments of the present invention also provide an information recommending system. As shown in Figure 9, the system includes a recommending server 901 and a user terminal 902.
[0077] The recommending server may be an information recommending apparatus in the disclosed embodiments. The recommending server may be configured to establish an association relationship between recommended download content and a push condition, to acquire a user's web browsing behavior, and to determine whether the web browsing behavior satisfies a push condition. If the web browsing behavior satisfies the push condition,
recommending server sends a push signal of the recommended download content corresponding to the push condition to the user terminal based on the established association relationship between the recommended download content and the push condition.
[0078] Specifically, in certain embodiments, the recommending server may acquire the user's web browsing behavior by: acquiring the user's web browsing content; or acquiring both the user's web browsing content and the user's network status. [0079] In certain embodiments, the recommending server may determine whether the web browsing behavior satisfies the push condition by: determining whether the web browsing content includes a preset keyword; and determining that the push condition is satisfied if the preset keyword is included in the web browsing content, and the push condition is not satisfied if there is no preset keyword included in the web browsing content.
[0080] In certain embodiments, the recommending server may determine whether the push condition is satisfied by: obtaining an analysis result by analyzing the user's web browsing content and/or the user's network status, determining whether the analysis result reaches a predetermined threshold value, and determining that the push condition is satisfied if the analysis result reaches the predetermined threshold value, and the push condition is not satisfied if the analysis value does not reach the predetermined threshold value.
[0081] In certain embodiments of the present invention, a recommending server may also be used to establish an association relationship between a network status and a push format. The recommending server may push the recommended download content corresponding to the push condition to the user terminal by: based on the user's network status and the association relationship between the user's network status and the push format, sending a push signal of the recommended download content corresponding to the push condition to the user terminal and the push signal may include the push format associated with the user's network status.
[0082] The user terminal is configured to receive a user's web browsing behavior and to make the recommending server to acquire the web browsing behavior. The user terminal is also configured to receive the push signal of the recommended download content associated with the push condition from the recommending server, and to display the recommended download content in the user's current browsing webpage according to the push signal. [0083] In certain embodiments of the present invention, the terminal may also be used to receive a download instruction entered by the user according to the displayed recommended download content, and to download the recommended download content.
[0084] The disclosed information recommending system may operate as follows. A recommending server establishes an association relationship between recommended download content and a push condition, and an association relationship between a user's network status and a push format. After a user terminal obtains the user's web browsing behavior, the
recommending server acquires the user's web browsing behavior obtained by the user terminal.
[0085] The push condition can be set as whether the web browsing content includes a preset keyword or whether the analysis result of the user's web browsing content and/or the user's network status reaches a predetermined threshold value. When the push condition is set as whether the web browsing content includes a preset keyword, the recommending server determines whether the web browsing content includes a preset keyword. If there is a preset keyword included in the web browsing content, then the push condition is satisfied; otherwise if there is no preset keyword included in the web browsing content, the push condition is not satisfied.
[0086] When the push condition is set as whether the analysis result of the user's web browsing content and/or the user's network status reaches the predetermined threshold value, the recommending server obtains an analysis result by analyzing the user's web browsing content and/or the user's network status, and determines whether the analysis result reaches a predetermined threshold value. If the analysis result reaches the predetermined threshold value, the push condition is satisfied; otherwise if the analysis result does not reach the predetermined threshold value, the push condition is not satisfied. [0087] After the push condition is decided, the recommending server determines whether the web browsing behavior satisfies the push condition. If the push condition is satisfied, the recommending server, based on the user's network status and the association relationship between the user's network status and the push format, sends the user terminal a push signal of the recommended download content corresponding to the satisfied push condition, and the push signal may include the push format associated with the user's network status.
[0088] After the user terminal receives the push signal of the recommended download content corresponding to the push condition from the recommending server, the user terminal displays the recommended download content in the user's current browsing webpage in the corresponding push format specified the push signal. Then the user terminal receives a download command the user enters according to the recommended download content displayed and to download the recommended download content.
[0089] Thus, according to the disclosed embodiments of the present invention, an association relationship between the push condition and the recommended download content is established in advance. The user's web browsing behavior is acquired in real time and, by analyzing the user's web browsing behavior, it is determined whether the analysis result satisfies the push condition. When the push condition is satisfied, a recommending means is triggered to recommend the recommended download content associated with the push condition. By combining the recommended download content pushed by the recommending server with the user's web browsing behavior, the user is provided with more accurate recommended download content, and the conversion rate of the recommended download content can be increased. In addition, according to different network statuses of the user, such as the service provider used by the user, and the access network environment, etc., different push formats can be used to push the recommended download content, so as to increase the user's browsing experience.
[0090] Accordingly, in Figure 10, the disclosed embodiments of the present invention also provide a recommending server. As shown in Figure 10, the recommending server may include a processor 1001, a memory 1002, an input device 1003 and an output device 1004. Other devices may also be included.
[0091] There may be one or more processors 1001 in the recommending server, and the one processor as shown in Figure 10 is used for illustrative purposes. In certain embodiments of the present invention, the processor 1001, the memory 1002, the input device 1003 and the output device 1004 may be connected via a bus or other means, and the bus connection is used as an example as shown FigurelO.
[0092] The memory 1002 is used to store software programs and software modules. The processor 1001 is used to execute the software programs and software modules saved in the memory 1002, so as to perform various functional applications and data processing of the recommending server.
[0093] The memory 1002 may mainly include a program storage segment and a data storage segment, wherein the program storage segment may store an operating system and an application program required to accomplish at least one function. Furthermore, the memory 1002 may include a high-speed RAM, and may also include a non-volatile memory, such as at least a magnetic disk storage device, a flash memory or any other volatile solid state memory devices. The input device 1003 may be used to receive input number or character information and to generate key signal inputs related to user configuration and function controls of the
recommending server. [0094] Specifically, the processor 1001 may follow the following instructions to load one or more corresponding executable files corresponding to a process of the application program in the memory 1002, and runs the application program loaded in the memory 1002 to achieve various functionalities.
[0095] Establishing an association relationship between a recommended download content and a push condition; acquiring a user's web browsing behavior; determining whether the web browsing behavior satisfies the push condition; and, if the push condition is satisfied, sending a push signal of the recommended download content corresponding to the push condition to the user terminal based on the established association relationship between the recommended download content and the push condition.
[0096] Further, acquiring the user's web browsing behavior includes: acquiring the user's web browsing content or acquiring both the user's web browsing content and the user's network status.
[0097] Further, determining whether the web browsing behavior satisfies the push condition includes: determining whether the web browsing content includes a preset keyword, if a preset keyword is included in the web browsing content, determining that the push condition is satisfied, and, if no preset keyword is included in the web browsing content, determining that the push condition is not satisfied.
[0098] Further, determining whether the web browsing behavior satisfies the push condition also includes: obtaining an analysis result by analyzing the user's web browsing content and/or the user's network status and determining whether the analysis result reaches a predetermined threshold value. If the analysis result reaches the predetermined threshold value, then the push condition is satisfied. If the analysis result does not reach the predetermined threshold value, then the push condition is not satisfied.
[0099] Further, the instructions also included: establishing an association relationship between the user's network status and a push format.
[00100] Further, pushing the associated recommended download content of the push condition to the user terminal includes: based on the user's network status and the association relationship between the user's network status and the push format, sending a push signal of the recommended download content corresponding to the push condition to the user terminal, and the push signal includes the associated push format of the user' network status.
[00101] Thus, the disclosed embodiments of the present invention establish in advance an association relationship between a push condition and a recommended download content, acquire a user's web browsing behavior in real time, analyze the user's web browsing behavior, and determine whether a push condition is satisfied according to the analysis result.
