Abstract
Este implante (1) comprende una cavidad (2), abierta o cerrada, de una forma geométrica predeterminada, definida en el propio material conformante del implante (1); cuya cavidad (2) contiene una materia (3) de densidad distinta a la del propio material conformante del implante (1); presentando dicha materia (3) unas características adecuadas para que dicha cavidad (2) y/o dicha materia (3) sea detectada y visible a través de una resonancia magnética, de una radiación ionizante tipo TAC (tomografía computerizada), CBCT (tomografía computerizada de haz cónico), o de cualquier otra prueba radiológica similar, y determine la posición y orientación de los implantes en la boca del paciente.
Description
DESCRIPCIÓN
Implante dental. Objeto de la invención.
La presente invención se refiere a un implante dental que comprende unos medios adecuados para fijarse en un hueso de un paciente, preferentemente por roscado, y para el anclaje sobre el mismo de una pieza o una prótesis dental.
Este implante dental presenta unas características adecuadas para permitir su detección a través de una prueba de radiación ionizante o de resonancia magnética que sirva de base para definir la posición de los implantes y el posterior modelado de una estructura de prótesis dental sobre un modelo informático y la generación de un archivo para el fresado de dicha estructura.
Campo de aplicación de la invención.
Esta invención es aplicable en el campo de la implantología dental.
Antecedentes de la invención.
En la solicitud de patente WO20121 13947 del mismo titular de la presente invención se describe un método para el diseño de estructuras de prótesis dentales sobre implantes, que comprende la modelización de los implantes siguiendo una serie de etapas tales como: la colocación de unos postes detectables por rayos X sobre los implantes montados en la boca del paciente, la realización de un TAC de la boca del paciente con los postes colocados sobre los implantes, la conversión del resultado del TAC a un modelo informático en tres dimensiones para su manipulación CAD/CAM; la definición de los postes en el modelo informático; el modelado CAD/CAM de la estructura sobre el modelo informático con los postes definidos, y la generación de un archivo de posiciones y orientaciones para el cálculo del programa de fresado de estructuras de prótesis.
Este método supone un avance importante en el diseño y fresado de estructuras de prótesis dentales respecto a las técnicas conocidas anteriormente, basadas en la realización de un molde de escayola a partir de una toma de impresión en boca mediante cubeta de silicona, ya que permite reducir los errores acumulativos que se producen en dichos procesos anteriores.
No obstante, con el fin de simplificar aún en mayor medida los trabajos a realizar previamente al fresado de la estructura de la prótesis y evitar posibles errores dimensionales derivados por una colocación inadecuada de los postes sobre los implantes, por ejemplo debido a un apriete insuficiente, el mismo titular del mencionado antecedente WO20121 13947 ha ideado un implante dental que permite utilizar el método anterior y realizar el modelado CAD/CAM de la estructura directamente sobre la posición de los implantes en el modelo informático.
Descripción de la invención.
El implante dental objeto de esta invención, comprendiendo unos medios adecuados para fijarse en un hueso de un paciente, preferentemente por roscado, y para permitir el anclaje sobre el mismo de una pieza o prótesis dental, presenta la particularidad de comprender una cavidad, abierta o cerrada, de una forma geométrica predeterminada, definida en el propio material conformante del implante y que contiene una materia de densidad distinta a la del propio material conformante del implante; presentando dicha materia unas características adecuadas para que dicha cavidad y/o dicha materia sea detectada y visible a través de una resonancia magnética, de una radiación ionizante tipo TAC (tomografía computerizada), CBCT (tomografía computerizada de haz cónico, del inglés Cone Beam Computed Tomography), o de cualquier otra prueba radiológica similar.
La forma geométrica de la cavidad debe ser una forma predeterminada, para permitir su identificación y localización mediante una prueba radiológica, y poder determinar la posición y orientación del implante correspondiente en la boca del
paciente.
Cabe mencionar que la materia contenida en la cavidad puede ser un fluido o un sólido, siempre y cuando presente las características adecuadas para esta aplicación.
En el caso de que dicha cavidad contenga una materia gaseosa, por ejemplo aire, la propia cavidad será detectada y visualizada mediante cualquiera de las pruebas mencionadas, mientras que si dicha cavidad contiene una materia metálica o cualquier otra materia sólida de densidad diferente al material del implante, será dicha materia la que resultará detectada y visible en dichas pruebas.
La inserción en el implante de esta materia, de distinta densidad, permite realizar la modelización de los implantes a partir de la posición real de los implantes colocados en la boca del paciente, sin necesidad de colocar sobre dichos implantes los mencionados postes, u otros elementos detectables por rayos X que pueden generar errores durante el modelado de la estructura de la prótesis.
Este implante dental permite utilizar el método para el diseño de estructuras de prótesis dentales descrito en el documento WO 20121 13947 del mismo solicitante, trabajando directamente sobre los implantes, siguiendo básicamente la misma operativa pero sin la intervención ni el montaje postes radiológicamente visibles sobre los implantes. Con este implante dental, el método para el diseño de estructuras dentales descrito en el documento WO 20121 13947 del mismo solicitante comprende los pasos siguiente: la realización de una resonancia magnética, de una radiación ionizante tipo TAC, CBCT o de cualquier otra prueba radiológica similar de la boca del paciente con los implantes colocados; la obtención a partir del resultado de la prueba, en la que se observan las posiciones reales de los implantes, de un modelo informático en tres dimensiones, y la definición de los implantes en dicho modelo informático; realizándose posteriormente el modelado CAD/CAM de la estructura protésica sobre el modelo informático con los implantes ya definidos y la generación
de un archivo de posiciones y orientaciones para el cálculo del programa de fresado de la estructura de la prótesis.
Descripción de las figuras.
Para complementar la descripción que se está realizando y con objeto de facilitar la comprensión de las características de la invención, se acompaña a la presente memoria descriptiva un juego de dibujos en los que, con carácter ilustrativo y no limitativo, se ha representado lo siguiente:
- La figura 1 muestra una vista en alzado de un ejemplo de realización del implante dental según la invención seccionado por un plano medio vertical.
Realización preferente de la invención.
En el ejemplo de realización mostrado en la figura adjunta el implante dental referenciado en su conjunto como (1 ) comprende interiormente una cavidad (2) definida en el propio material conformante del implante (1 ), conteniendo dicha cavidad (2) en su interior una materia de densidad distinta a la del propio material conformante del implante (1 1 ).
Esta materia (3) puede tratarse de un fluido, un metal, un plástico, o ser de cualquier otra naturaleza que permita la detección y visualización de dicha materia (3) o de dicha cavidad (2) mediante una resonancia magnética o una radiación ionizante tipo TAC, CBCT u otra similar.
Con las características descritas, una vez colocado uno o varios implantes (1 ) en la boca del paciente, éstos serán visibles en los resultados obtenidos mediante una de las pruebas mencionadas anteriormente, lo que permite utilizar el método para el diseño de estructuras de prótesis dentales descrito en el antecedente citado y del mismo solicitante, realizando la prueba directamente sobre los propios implantes y sin necesidad de colocar sobre los mismos postes u otros elementos radiológicamente visibles.
Una vez descrita suficientemente la naturaleza de la invención, así como un ejemplo de realización preferente, se hace constar a los efectos oportunos que los materiales, forma, tamaño y disposición de los elementos descritos podrán ser modificados, siempre y cuando ello no suponga una alteración de las características esenciales de la invención que se reivindican a continuación.
Claims
1 . - Implante dental, comprendiendo dicho implante (1 ) unos medios adecuados para fijarse en un hueso de un paciente, preferentemente por roscado, y para permitir el anclaje sobre el mismo de una pieza o una prótesis dental; caracterizado porque comprende una cavidad (2), abierta o cerrada, de una forma geométrica predeterminada, definida en el propio material conformante del implante y que contiene una materia (3) de densidad distinta a la del propio material conformante del implante (1 ); presentando dicha materia (3) unas características adecuadas para que dicha cavidad (2) y/o dicha materia (3) sea detectada y visible a través de una resonancia magnética, de una radiación ionizante tipo TAC (tomografía computerizada), CBCT (tomografía computerizada de haz cónico), o de cualquier otra prueba radiológica similar, y determine la posición y orientación de los implantes en la boca del paciente.
2. - Implante dental, según la reivindicación 1 , caracterizado porque la materia (3) contenida en la cavidad (2) está constituida por un fluido o un sólido.
