Definitions
- the present invention is a cogged V-belt (including a double cogged V-belt) having a plurality of convex portions (cogged portions) at predetermined intervals along the longitudinal direction of the belt on the inner peripheral surface of the compressed rubber layer.
- the present invention relates to a transmission belt useful as a transmission belt that eliminates the phenomenon (pop-out) in which a core wire jumps out of a belt main body even when alignment occurs, and a belt transmission device including the belt.
- a cogged V-belt is used as a V-belt for CVT (continuously variable transmission) used in applications such as motorcycles, ATVs (four-wheel buggy), and snowmobiles.
- the cogged V-belt has the advantage of excellent flexibility, and is actively used in transmissions with a small pulley diameter, but it has been necessary to further improve the lateral pressure resistance and the bending fatigue resistance.
- short fibers are often blended as a reinforcing agent in the compressed rubber layer.
- misalignment occurs due to the transmission operation, and a large compressive force is applied to the side surface of the belt. Therefore, the durability of the belt is not sufficient only by blending the short fibers.
- Patent Document 1 discloses a holding elastic body layer in a belt including an adhesive elastic body layer in which a cord is embedded and a holding elastic body layer (compression rubber layer) positioned above and below the adhesive elastic body layer.
- a cogged rubber V-belt comprising chloroprene rubber, reinforcing filler, metal oxidative vulcanizing agent, bismaleimide and aramid short fibers, in which the aramid short fibers are arranged in the width direction of the belt.
- the arrangement of aramid fibers raises the elastic modulus in the direction of alignment (orientation direction of short fibers), maintains lateral pressure resistance, and improves durability.
- the amount of the aramid short fibers is desirably 13% by volume or less, because if the amount is too large, the bending fatigue property (extension fatigue property) in the belt traveling direction is remarkably deteriorated.
- the cord (core wire) details of the cord (core wire) are not described.
- Patent Document 2 uses a para-aramid fiber core for the purpose of producing a double-cogged V-belt that is excellent in bending fatigue resistance and does not promote fatigue of a para-aramid fiber core.
- a double cogged V belt having a belt bending rigidity of 600 to 1200 N / mm 3 and a dynamic compression spring constant in the belt width direction of 15000 N / mm or more or a static spring constant in the belt width direction of 4000 N / mm or more.
- the rubber component is mainly chloroprene rubber and the short fiber is para-aramid fiber.
- carbon black, magnesium oxide, zinc oxide, vulcanization accelerator, para-aramid short fiber, etc. are blended with chloroprene rubber, but details of the vulcanization accelerator are described. Not.
- Patent Document 3 aims to improve the lateral load resistance and improve the high load transmission capacity while preventing the occurrence of cracks and separation of each rubber layer and cord at an early stage.
- the stretch rubber layer and the compression rubber layer of this belt are composed of 100 parts by weight of chloroprene rubber, 40 to 60 parts by weight of a reinforcing filler, and at least one metal oxide of zinc oxide, magnesium oxide and lead oxide.
- the core wire may be any material such as nylon, tetron, polyester, or aramid fiber. Furthermore, it is stated that if the amount of the aramid short fiber is too large, the bending fatigue property (elongation fatigue property) in the longitudinal direction of the belt is remarkably deteriorated.
- para-aramid fibers are used as a core wire, and a rubber composition containing short fibers in which bismaleimide and aramid short fibers are blended with chloroprene rubber as stretch and compression rubber layers, respectively.
- the used cogged V-belt is disclosed.
- the rubber hardness of the stretch rubber layer and the compression rubber layer is specified. That is, these patent documents aim to improve bending fatigue resistance, or improve lateral pressure resistance (rigidity in the belt width direction) to improve high load transmission capability. In order to cope with such a high load transmission, it was necessary to increase the rigidity in the belt width direction and the tensile elastic modulus in the longitudinal direction of the belt.
- an object of the present invention is to provide a transmission belt capable of suppressing the occurrence of pop-out even if a large misalignment occurs during gear shifting and improving the belt life, and a belt transmission including the belt. is there.
- the present inventors have designed the rigidity in the belt width direction to be slightly smaller than that of the conventional transmission belt, and in the longitudinal direction of the belt at a predetermined load.
- the belt is designed to be slightly larger than a conventional transmission belt using an aramid core wire, and is intentionally easily compressed and deformed in the belt width direction and easily extended in the belt longitudinal direction.
- Can absorb misalignment by absorbing the compressive force in the belt width direction and the tensile force in the longitudinal direction of the belt that occurs at the time of shifting, extending the running time until the pop-out phenomenon where the core wire jumps out of the belt body occurs.
- the inventors have found that the belt life can be improved and completed the present invention.
- the transmission belt of the present invention includes a core wire extending in the longitudinal direction of the belt, a core wire support layer in contact with at least a part of the core wire, a stretch rubber layer formed on one surface of the core wire support layer, And a compression rubber layer formed on the other surface of the core support layer, and a plurality of cogs are formed on the inner peripheral surface of the compression rubber layer at predetermined intervals along the longitudinal direction of the belt. And can be frictionally engaged with the pulley on the side surface of the compressed rubber layer.
- the core wire is formed of an aramid fiber
- the compressed rubber layer is formed of a vulcanized rubber composition including a rubber component and an aramid short fiber
- the aramid short fiber is included in the vulcanized rubber composition. It is embedded in the belt width direction. Furthermore, when the transmission belt is compressed with a stress of 2.0 N / mm 2 in the width direction, the strain is 0.5 to 0.8%, and when the transmission belt is pulled with a load of 2 kN in the length direction The strain is 0.35 to 0.7%.
- the aramid fiber of the core wire may be a polyparaphenylene terephthalamide fiber.
- the rubber component of the compressed rubber layer may be chloroprene rubber.
- the vulcanized rubber composition of the compressed rubber layer may further contain bismaleimide.
- the proportion of aramid short fibers is preferably 10 to 40 parts by mass and the proportion of bismaleimide is preferably about 1 to 15 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component.
- the compressed rubber layer is a vulcanized rubber having a bending stress of 3.5 to 6.0 MPa when the strain in the thickness direction is 10% when press vulcanized at a temperature of 160 ° C. and a pressure of 2.0 MPa for 20 minutes. It may be formed of a composition.
- the transmission belt of the present invention may be used in a continuously variable transmission.

This is not possible, and misalignment occurs, and a pop-out phenomenon in which the core wire jumps out of the belt body is likely to occur. On the other hand, when the bending stress when the strain in the thickness direction is 10% is less than 3.5 MPa, the belt becomes too soft and easily deforms, and pop-out is likely to occur.

Abstract
