Description

VALVE AND CLOSURE ASSEMBLY COMPRISING SUCH STOP
The present invention refers to a stop valve and a closure assembly comprising such stop valve.
In particular the valve and the relative assembly are associable to a fluid delivery mouth of a container. The valve of the present invention is of the type elastically deformable by compression of the container from a closing stable undeformed position, in which it stops the delivery from the delivery mouth, to a delivery unstable deformed position in which it frees the delivery mouth at least partially.
The return from the delivery position to the closure position occurs automatically by means of elastic elements. Due to such automatic return, these valves are also known as stop valves.
The known valves reveal drawbacks regarding the sterility required for some fluids, for example cosmetics, they are extremely complex and often incorporate metal springs.
An object of the present invention is to provide a stop valve and a closure assembly comprising such stop valve which represent an alternative with respect to the known ones and capable of overcoming the aforementioned drawbacks of the prior art in an extremely simple, inexpensive and particularly functional manner.
These objects according to the present invention are attained by providing a stop valve as outlined in claim 1 and a closure assembly comprising such stop valve as outlined in claim 8.
Further characteristics of the invention are highlighted by the dependent claims.
The characteristics and advantages of a stop valve according to the present invention shall be more apparent from the following exemplifying and non- limiting description with reference to the attached schematic drawings, wherein:
- figure 1 is an exploded view of a closure assembly comprising a stop valve according to the present invention in closing condition;
- figure 2 is an exploded view of the assembly of figure 1 ;
- figure 3 is an enlarged view of the detail indicated with III in figure 1 ;
- figure 4 is an exploded view of a closure assembly comprising a stop valve according to the present invention in delivery condition;
- figure 5 is an enlarged view of the detail indicated with V in figure 3;
- figure 6 is a sectional view of the assembly in figure 1 in closing condition;
- figure 7 is a sectional view of the assembly in figure 1 in delivery condition;
- figures 8 and 9 are perspective views of a stop valve according to the present invention;
- figure 10 is a bottom view of the valve of figure 8 or 9 ;
- figure 11 is the section of the valve of figure 10 along line FF; and
- figure 12 is the section of the valve of figure 10 along line GG .
With reference to the figures, an embodiment example of a stop valve according to the present invention is shown with 10 and the closure assembly which comprises the valve 10 is shown with 100.
Such valve 10 is of the type associable with a fluid delivery mouth 12 of a container 11.
Such container may be in form of a bottle, a tube or any other form.
The fluid may be liquid, pasty or creamy.
In particular, the valve 10 is of the type elastically deformable by compression of the container 11 between a closing stable undeformed position, in which it stops the delivery closing the delivery mouth 12, and a delivery unstable deformed position in which it frees the delivery mouth 12 at least partially.
There are provided return elastic means capable of returning the valve 10 from the delivery unstable deformed position to the closing stable undeformed position .
According to the invention the valve 10 comprises a cylindrical main body 28, 27, 21, 20 axially associable and at the delivery mouth 12. Such cylindrical main body 28, 27, 21, 20 serves as a mobile stem for opening and closing the delivery mouth 12.
The valve further comprises two outer ring elements 22, 25, respectively a base ring 25 and a delivery ring 22 centred and arranged at different heights with respect to the cylindrical main body 28, 27, 21, 20.
The provided return elastic means comprise first ends associated with the outer rings 22, 25 and second ends associated with the cylindrical main body 28, 27, 21, 20.
In particular, the two outer ring elements 22, 25 divide the cylindrical main body 28, 27, 21, 20 into three portions, respectively:
- a base portion 28, substantially at the same height as the base ring 25 inside the bottle 11,
- an intermediate portion 27 between the outer ring elements 22, 25,
- and a delivery portion 21, 22 arranged outside the outer ring elements 22, 25 in an opposite position with respect to the base portion 28 and at the delivery mouth 12.
Furthermore the delivery portion 21, 22 subsequently comprises a neck portion 21 and an enlarged head 20 shaped complementarily to the delivery mouth 12.
According to another aspect of the invention, the elastic means comprise a plurality of radial filiform elements 26, 24 for connecting the outer rings 22, 25 and the cylindrical main body 28, 27, 21, 20.
In particular, such radial filiform elements 26, 24 are S-shaped .
The outer rings 22, 25 are connected to each other by bridge elements 24 parallel to the cylindrical main body 28, 27, 21, 20.
A further aspect of the invention is that the valve is completely made of plastic material.
The valve is inserted into the delivery mouth 12 by means of a sleeve element 13, in particular by means of a cylindrical portion 30 for supporting the valve 10 defining a small delivery opening 31.
The cylindrical portion 30 for supporting the valve 10 comprises an upper annular abutment 32 for the upper ring 22 while the delivery opening 31 is shaped as a funnel facing towards the interior of the container 11. The head portion 20 is counter-shaped in a diverging manner .
The upper annular abutment 32 and the delivery opening 31 shaped as a funnel serve as elements for holding the valve 10 in the delivery mouth.
Thus, the operation of the valve subject of the invention is easy to understand.
Pressing on the container, allows the cylindrical body of the valve to be moved towards the outside of the delivery mouth freeing the outlet channels of the contained fluid.
The annular abutment inside the sleeve guarantees that the valve is held in the seat.
In such configuration divergence occurs between the rings and the cylindrical body which causes an elongation of the S-shaped springs interposed between the cylindrical body and the rings.
This deformation generates an elastic return force such that, once the container is released, the valve returns to the rest position in which the enlarged head closes the delivery opening.
The presence of two rings, and thus two series of springs, makes the return of the valve safe and extremely quick.
In addition, the presence of the bridge elements which join the rings makes the valve more stable with respect to the misalignments due to the manual action of the user on the container.
It has thus been observed that a valve according to the present invention attains the previously outlined objects.
Such valve and the closure assembly which comprises such valve advantageously constitute alternatives to the currently available products.
The valve of the present invention thus conceived is susceptible to many modifications and variants, all falling within the same inventive concept; in addition, all details can be replaced by technically equivalent elements. In practice, the materials used, as well as their dimensions, may be of any type according to the technical requirements.
