Abstract

Embodiment of the invention provide a bidet that includes an inhalation unit and a exhaust unit comprises a sterilizing and deodorizing function. The bidet includes: an inhalation unit comprising a first sterilizing device, an exhaust unit hcomprising a second sterilizing device, and a manipulation unit controlling operation of the inhalation unit.

The present invention relates to a bidet, and more particularly, to a bidet that includes an inhalation unit and an exhaust unit having sterilizing and deodorizing functions.
toilet is a place for relieving oneself and is an environment in which foul odors are present and germs easily propagate. Thus, a user feels uncomfortable due to propagation of germs and foul odors, and air fresheners are disposed on toilets but can only solve the problem of foul odors.
In general, a bidet is disposed on a toilet to provide user convenience.
The bidet includes an inhalation unit, which provides a drying function and includes a heater for heating exterior air to a predetermined temperature or higher.
Although the bidet is provided with an ultraviolet sterilizing device in a nozzle for ejecting water or in a water tank for containing water, the bidet is not provided with a device for sterilization or deodorization in a drying process, thereby making it difficult to maintain a comfortable toilet environment.
An aspect of the present invention is to provide a bidet including an inhalation unit and an exhaust unit, which are provided with ultraviolet light emitting diodes and optical catalytic filters having sterilizing and deodorizing functions.
In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, a bidet includes: an inhalation unit having a sterilizing function; an exhaust unit having a sterilizing function; and a manipulation unit controlling operation of the inhalation unit.
The inhalation unit may include: an inhalation fan inhaling external air; a first UV light emitting diode (LED) unit disposed at one side of the inhalation fan to be adjacent the inhalation fan and emitting UV light; a first optical catalytic filter disposed at one side of the first UV LED unit and including an optical catalyst; and a first activated carbon filter disposed at one side of the first optical catalytic filter.
The exhaust unit may include: a general filter removing dust and foreign matter in a toilet seat; an exhaust fan discharging air from the toilet seat to an outside; a second UV LED unit disposed at one side of the exhaust fan to be adjacent the exhaust fan and emitting UV light; a second optical catalytic filter disposed at one side of the second UV LED unit and including an optical catalyst; and a second activated carbon filter disposed at one side of the second optical catalytic filter.
A UV light output direction of the first UV LED unit may be a fluid flow direction.
A UV light output direction of the first UV LED unit may be a reverse direction of a fluid flow direction.
A UV light output direction of the second UV LED unit may be a fluid flow direction.
A UV light output direction of the second UV LED unit may be a reverse direction of a fluid flow direction.
Each of the first and second UV LED units may include a heat sink at a location different from the UV light output direction.
The optical catalyst may be at least one of TiO2, ZnO, Nb2O53, SnO2, ZrO2, SrTiO3, KTaO3, Ni-K4Nb6O17, CdS, ZnSCdSe, GaP, CdTe, MoSe2, or Wse2.
The first and second UV LED units may include LEDs emitting light in a wavelength band of UV light, and the LEDs may emit light in the same wavelength band.
The first and second UV LED units may include LEDs emitting light in a wavelength band of UV light, and the LEDs may emit light in different wavelength bands.
The first and second UV LED units may include LEDs emitting light in a wavelength band of UV light, and the LEDs may emit light in a wavelength band of 200 nm to 400 nm.

The bidet of the invention includes an exhaust unit, which includes a second UV LED unit for sterilizing interior air, a second optical catalytic filter for sterilization and deodorization, and a second activated carbon filter for deodorization, thereby providing a comfortable environment.
The bidet of the invention includes an inhalation unit including a first UV LED unit having sterilizing and deodorizing functions and a first optical catalytic filter, and an exhaust unit including a second UV LED unit having sterilizing and deodorizing functions and a second optical catalytic filter, thereby providing a comfortable environment.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. It should be understood that the following embodiments are provided by way of illustration only to provide a thorough understanding of the present invention to those skilled in the art. Hence, the present invention may be embodied in different ways without being limited to the following embodiments. Further, it should be noted that the drawings are not to precise scale and some of the dimensions, such as width, length, thickness, and the like, can be exaggerated for clarity of description in the drawings. Like elements are denoted by like reference numerals throughout the specification.
Fig. 1 is a view of a bidet of one embodiment of the present invention, and Fig. 2 is a detailed view of an inhalation unit of Fig. 1.
Fig. 3 is a detailed view of an exhaust unit of Fig. 1 and Fig. 4 is a view showing airflows in the inhalation unit and the exhaust unit of the bidet of the embodiment of the present invention.
As shown in Fig. 1, a bidet 100 of one embodiment of the invention includes a body 110 disposed on a toilet seat 101, and a manipulation unit 130 disposed at one side of the body 110.
The bidet 100 further includes a nozzle 150 which protrudes into the toilet seat 101.
The manipulation unit 130 includes a control unit 140 controlling movement of the nozzle 150 and ejection of water and providing heating and drying functions.
The body 110 includes an inhalation unit 170 heating air to a predetermined temperature or higher to provide heated air to a user when a drying function is performed, and an exhaust unit 180 discharging interior air from the toilet seat to the outside.
The inhalation unit 170 not only heats exterior air for drying to provide the heated air to a user, but also includes a function of sterilizing and deodorizing the exterior air.
The exhaust unit 180 not only discharges the interior air from the toilet seat 101 to the outside, but also includes a function of sterilizing and deodorizing the interior air of the toilet seat 101.
As such, the bidet 100 of the embodiment includes the inhalation unit 170, which has not only the drying function but also the sterilizing and deodorizing function, and the exhaust unit 180, which discharges the interior air of the bidet 100 and has the function of sterilizing and deodorizing the interior air of the bidet 100, thereby providing a comfortable toilet.
The inhalation unit 170 and the exhaust unit 180 will be described in detail with reference to Figs. 2 and 3.
Referring to Figs. 1 to 4, the inhalation unit 170 is disposed within the body 110.
The inhalation unit 170 includes an inhalation fan 171, a first UV LED unit 175, a first optical catalytic filter 176, a first activated carbon filter 177, and a heating unit 178.
The inhalation fan 171 is disposed at one end of the inhalation unit 170.
The inhalation fan 171 has a function of inhaling exterior air from a lower side of the body 110. That is, the inhalation fan 171 may be exposed from a portion of a lower surface of the body 110.
The first UV LED unit 175 is disposed adjacent the inhalation fan 171, and may be separated a predetermined distance from the inhalation fan 171.
The first UV LED unit 175 has a function of UV sterilizing air inhaled by the inhalation fan 171.
The first UV LED unit 175 may be disposed between the inhalation fan 171 and the first optical catalytic filter 176.
The first UV LED unit 175 may emit UV light in a forward direction of air. That is, the light output direction of the first UV LED unit 175 is a direction in which the first optical catalytic filter 176 is oriented. Although the light output direction of the first UV LED unit 175 is illustrated as being the same as a fluid flow direction, the present invention is not limited thereto. Alternatively, the light output direction of the first UV LED unit 175 may be a reverse direction of the fluid flow direction, that is, a direction of the inhalation fan 171.
The first UV LED unit 175 further includes a first heat sink 174 for heat dissipation. The first heat sink 174 is disposed in a direction different from the light output direction of the first UV LED unit 175.
The first optical catalytic filter 176 has a function of decomposing, anti-bacterializing, sterilizing and deodorizing air primarily sterilized by the first UV LED unit 175. That is, the first optical catalytic filter 176 includes an optical filter.
The optical catalyst may include at least one of TiO2, ZnO, Nb2O53, SnO2, ZrO2, SrTiO3, KTaO3, Ni-K4Nb6O17, CdS, ZnSCdSe, GaP, CdTe, MoSe2, or Wse2.
The first deactivated carbon filter 177 has a function of secondarily deodorizing the air secondarily sterilized and deodorized by the first optical catalytic filter 176.
The heating unit 178 heats the secondarily sterilized and deodorized air to provide heated air to the user.
According to the invention, the inhalation unit 170 includes a first UV LED unit 175 for sterilizing exterior air, a first optical catalytic filter 176 for sterilization and deodorization, and a first activated carbon filter 177 for deodorization, thereby providing a comfortable environment.
The exhaust unit 180 is disposed within the body 110.
The exhaust unit 180 includes a general filter 183 removing dust and foreign matter, an exhaust fan 181, a second UV LED unit 185, a second optical catalytic filter 186, and a second activated carbon filter 187.
The exhaust fan 181 is separated a predetermined distance from the general filter 183, and has a function of discharging interior air from the toilet seat 101 to the outside of the toilet seat 101.
The second UV LED unit 185 is disposed adjacent the exhaust fan 181, and may be separated a predetermined distance from the exhaust fan 181.
The second UV LED unit 185 is disposed adjacent the exhaust fan 181, and may be separated a predetermined distance from the exhaust fan 181.
The second UV LED unit 185 may be disposed between the exhaust fan 181 and the second optical catalytic filter 186.
The second UV LED unit 185 may emit light UV light in a forward direction of air. That is, the light output direction of the second UV LED unit 185 may be a direction in which the second optical catalytic filter 186 is oriented. Although the light output direction of the second UV LED unit 185 is illustrated as being the same as a fluid flow direction, the present invention is not limited thereto. The light output direction of the second UV LED unit 185 may be a reverse direction of the fluid flow direction, that is, a direction of the exhaust fan 181.
The second UV LED unit 185 further includes a second heat sink 184 for heat dissipation. The second heat sink 184 is disposed in a direction different from the light output direction of the second UV LED unit 185.
The second optical catalytic filter 186 has a function of decomposing, antibacterializing, sterilizing, and deodorizing air primarily sterilized by the second UV LED unit 185. That is, the second optical catalytic filter 186 includes an optical filter.
The optical catalyst may include at least one of TiO2, ZnO, Nb2O53, SnO2, ZrO2, SrTiO3, KTaO3, Ni-K4Nb6O17, CdS, ZnSCdSe, GaP, CdTe, MoSe2, or Wse2.
The second activated filter 187 has a function of secondarily deodorizing the air secondarily sterilized and deodorized by the first optical catalytic filter 186.
According to the invention, the exhaust unit 180 includes a second UV LED unit 185 for sterilizing interior air of the toilet seat 101, a second optical catalytic filter 186 for sterilization and deodorization, and a second activated carbon filter 187 for deodorization, thereby providing a comfortable environment.
As described above, the bidet 100 having a sterilizing function of the present invention includes the inhalation unit 170, which includes the first UV LED unit 175 and the first optical catalytic filter 176 having sterilizing and deodorizing functions, and the exhaust unit 180, which includes the second UV LED unit 185 and the second optical catalytic filter 186 having sterilizing and deodorizing functions, thereby providing a comfortable environment.
Although the embodiment and features of the present invention have been described above, it should be understood that the present invention is not limited thereto and may be modified in various ways without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention.

Claims (13)

  1. A bidet, comprising:
    an inhalation unit comprising a first sterilizing device;
    an exhaust unit comprising a second sterilizing device; and
    a manipulation unit controlling operation of the inhalation unit.
  2. The bidet of claim 1, wherein the first sterilizing device of the inhalation unit comprises:
    an inhalation fan inhaling external air;
    a first UV LED unit disposed at one side of the inhalation fan to be adjacent the inhalation fan and emitting UV light;
    a first optical catalytic filter disposed at one side of the first UV LED unit and including an optical catalyst; and
    a first activated carbon filter disposed at one side of the first optical catalytic filter.
  3. The bidet of claim 2, wherein the second sterilizing device of the exhaust unit comprises:
    a filter removing dust and foreign matter in a toilet seat;
    an exhaust fan discharging air from the toilet seat to an outside;
    a second UV LED unit disposed at one side of the exhaust fan to be adjacent the exhaust fan and emitting UV light;
    a second optical catalytic filter disposed at one side of the second UV LED unit and including an optical catalyst; and
    a second activated carbon filter disposed at one side of the second optical catalytic filter.
  4. The bidet of claim 2, wherein a UV light output direction of the first UV LED unit is a fluid flow direction.
  5. The bidet of claim 2, wherein a UV light output direction of the first UV LED unit is a reverse direction of a fluid flow direction.
  6. The bidet of claim 3, wherein a UV light output direction of the second UV LED unit is a fluid flow direction.
  7. The bidet of claim 3, wherein a UV light output direction of the second UV LED unit is a reverse direction of a fluid flow direction.
  8. The bidet of claim 3, wherein each of the first and second UV LED units comprises a heat sink at a location different from the UV light output direction.
  9. The bidet of claim 3, wherein the optical catalyst comprises at least one of TiO2, ZnO, Nb2O53, SnO2, ZrO2, SrTiO3, KTaO3, Ni-K4Nb6O17, CdS, ZnSCdSe, GaP, CdTe, MoSe2, or Wse2.
  10. he bidet of claim 3, wherein the first and second UV LED units comprises LEDs emitting light in a wavelength band of UV light, and the LEDs emit light in the same wavelength band.
  11. The bidet of claim 3, wherein the first and second UV LED units comprise LEDs emitting light in a wavelength band of UV light, and the LEDs emit light in different wavelength bands.
  12. The bidet of claim 3, wherein the first and second UV LED units comprise LEDs emitting light in a wavelength band of UV light, and the LEDs emit light in a wavelength band of 200 nm to 400 nm.
  13. The bidet of claim 1, wherein the inhalation unit and the exhaust unit have a deodorizing function.
