Abstract

A method for making payments, in which standardized, identical electronic devices capable of connecting to a control device with a calculator are used as monetary mediums. The transfer of money during a payment can be effected only from one such standardized device to another, thus making it possible to protect said devices from tampering. The required amount is provisionally transferred from a storage device to the temporary issuing memory of the transmitting standardized device, and the receiving standardized device is switched to receive mode. When the two standardized devices come into contact, their identity is verified using a "friend or foe" system and the amount is then transferred from the transmitting standardized device to the receiving device by means of the amount in question being written to the receiving memory of the receiving device. The amount subsequently passes via a taxation element, where a tax is deducted therefrom, to the storage device of the receiving standardized device.

METHOD OF PAYMENT.

Methods are known for the production of cash payments in the form of paper bills. This money is the basis for the existence of a stable economy and the state.
