Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de freinage (14) pour vélo aquatique, comportant un support fixe (16) destiné à être solidarisé au bâti (2, 6) du vélo aquatique et un organe de friction (17) porté par le support fixe (16) en étant mobile par rapport à ce support fixe (16), cet organe de friction (17) étant destiné à venir en appui sur un plateau rotatif (8) entraîné par le pédalier (7) pour le freiner en exerçant un effort presseur sur cet plateau (8), ainsi que des moyens d'actionnement pour exercer sur l'organe de friction (17) un effort ajustable correspondant à l'effort presseur. Les moyens d'actionnement comportent un vérin hydraulique destiné à être alimenté par un circuit hydraulique du vélo aquatique, pour ajuster l'effort de freinage en agissant sur le circuit hydraulique. Le support (16) a une forme de boîtier ayant une face ouverte à travers laquelle l'organe de friction (17) est monté coulissant, et dans lequel ce support (16) comporte une ouverture (18) de connexion à une alimentation hydraulique, pour introduire de l'eau dans une chambre (22) délimitée par ce boîtier (16) et l'organe de friction (17) formant conjointement le vérin hydraulique.
