Abstract

Description
본 발명은 이온 발생기에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 촉매 코팅의 면적을 증가시키기 위한 이온 발생기의 구조에 관한 것이다.
심각해지는 환경 오염에 의해 호흡기 질환을 앓거나 알레르기 반응을 나타내는 사람들이 증가하면서, 양 이온이나 음 이온을 발생시켜 오염된 공기를 정화하고자 하는 다양한 제품이 출시되고 있다.
음 이온이란 공기 중의 산소나 질소 등의 분자가 음의 전하를 갖고 있는 상태를 의미하는 것으로, 이러한 음 이온은 인체에 유익하며 또한 먼지 및 냄새 제거에도 효과가 있기 때문에, 별도의 이온 발생기가 출시되기도 하지만 공기 조화기 또는 공기 청정기 등에 이온 발생 모듈이 추가되기도 한다.
이온 발생기(Ionizer)는, 도 1에 도시한 것과 같은 외형을 갖추고, 일정 두께를 갖는 직사각형의 기판 위에 (-) 이온을 발생시키기 위한 음 이온 전극과 (+) 이온을 발생시키기 위한 양 이온 전극으로 이루어진 전극부가 형성되어 있고, 전극부에 일정 전압이 공급되면 전극부에서 양 이온과 음 이온이 함께 또는 선택적으로 발생한다.
최근에는, 도 2에 도시한 것과 같이, 기판에 유해 물질을 제거할 수 있는 광 촉매, 예를 들어 가시광선 촉매나 UV 촉매 등을 코팅하여 이온 발생기의 제균, 탈취 등의 성능을 향상시키고 이온 발생량을 증가시킬 수 있다.
촉매가 반응하는 원리를 고려할 때 촉매 반응을 활성화하기 위해서는 기판의 면적을 증가시켜야 하지만, 종래 단순히 전극이 놓이는 직사각형 형태의 기판을 사용하는 이온 발생기는 기판의 면적을 키우는 데 한계가 있어서 이온 발생기의 제균이나 탈취 성능을 향상시키는 데 제한되는 문제가 있다.
본 발명은 이와 같은 상황을 감안하여 창작된 것으로서, 본 발명의 목적은, 이온 발생기의 공기 정화 효과를 향상시키는 데 있다.
본 발명의 구체적인 목적은, 이온 발생기에 적용되는 촉매 코팅의 반응 면적을 넓히는 기판 구조를 제공하는 데 있다.
상기와 같은 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 이온 발생기는, 적어도 한쪽 면에 요철이 형성된 기판; 및 양 이온과 음 이온 중 적어도 하나 이상을 발생시키기 위한 하나 이상의 전극을 포함하여 구성되고, 상기 요철 위에 광 촉매가 코팅되어 있는 것을 특징으로 한다.
일 실시예에서, 상기 전극은 상기 요철 위에 형성되고 그 위에 상기 광 촉매가 코팅될 수 있다.
일 실시예에서, 상기 전극은 상기 요철이 형성된 반대 면 위에 형성되고, 둘 이상의 기판이 상기 전극과 요철이 대향한 상태로 간격을 유지하면서 나란히 배치될 수 있다.

일 실시예에서, 상기 입체 기판이 복수 개 연결되도록 배치될 수 있다.
일 실시예에서, 상기 입체 기판은 사각 기둥, 육각 기둥 또는 팔각 기둥 중 어느 하나일 수 있고, 상기 육각 기둥 형태의 입체 기판은 상기 전극부와 코팅부가 번갈아 가며 배치될 수 있다.

본 발명의 또 다른 실시예에 따른 이온 발생기는, 케이스; 직사각형 형태의 기판; 상기 기판의 한쪽 면에 형성되어 양 이온과 음 이온 중 적어도 하나 이상을 발생시키기 위한 하나 이상의 전극을 포함하는 전극부; 및 상기 케이스와 기판 사이에 메쉬 형태로 광 촉매가 코팅된 코팅부를 포함하여 구성될 수 있다.
따라서, 촉매의 코팅 면적이 늘어 촉매 반응이 활성화되고, 오염 물질 분해와 유기물 분해 성능이 향상된다.

도 4는 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따라 다각형 기둥 형태의 기판을 도시한 것이고,
도 5는 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따라 사각형 기둥 형태의 기판이 복수 개 연결된 격자 형상의 기판을 도시한 것이고,
도 6은 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따라 전극이 형성된 면과 반대 면에 광 촉매 코팅된 기판 두 개 이상을 일정 간격으로 배치한 것을 도시한 것이고,
도 7은 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따라 기둥이나 그릴에 광 촉매가 코팅된 것을 도시한 것이고,
도 8은 본 발명의 또 다른 실시예에 다라 전극 기판과 케이스 사이에 광 촉매가 메쉬 형태로 코팅된 것을 도시한 것이다.
이하, 본 발명에 따른 이온 발생기에 대해 첨부하는 도면을 참조하여 상세히 설명한다.
TiO2나 이와 유사한 광 촉매는 가시광선이나 자외선(UV: Ultraviolet)과 광 촉매 반응을 하여 OH-나 O2 등을 생성하여 이를 통해 오염 물질을 제거할 수 있다. 광 촉매 반응 면적을 넓히기 위해서는 넓은 면적에 광 촉매를 코팅하는 것이 유리하다.
따라서, 본 발명에서는 넓은 면적에 걸쳐 광 촉매가 코팅 될 수 있는 구조를 제안하고 이러한 구조가 적용되는 이온 발생기를 제안한다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 이온 발생기는, 기판, 상기 기판의 일부 영역에 양 이온과 음 이온 중 적어도 하나를 발생시키기 위한 하나 이상의 전극이 형성되어 있는 전극부, 광 촉매가 코팅되어 있는 코팅부, 상기 전극부에서 발생하는 이온을 외부로 배출하거나 외부 공기를 유입하기 위해 기류를 형성하기 위한 팬 및 상기 전극부와 팬에 동작 전원을 공급하기 위한 전원부를 포함하여 구성될 수 있다.
상기 이온 발생기는, 에어컨, 공기 정화기 등에 모듈 형태로 장착되는 경우, 상기 전극부, 코팅부, 기판만이 모듈 형태로 제작되고, 상기 팬과 전원부는 에어컨이나 공기 정화기의 것을 사용할 수 있다.
상기 전극부의 전극은 상기 전원부로부터 고압의 전압이 인가되면 음 이온과 양 이온 중 적어도 하나 이상을 발생시키고, 추가로 일정 양의 자외선도 방출할 수 있다. 상기 코팅부의 광 촉매는 상기 전극부에서 방출되는 자외선과 반응하여 주위 공기에 포함된 오염 물질을 분해 제거하게 된다.
종래 이온 발생기의 기판은 직사각형 형태의 표면이 균일한 기판 위에 전극이 형성되고 그 위에 광 촉매가 코팅되어 오염 물지 분해를 위한 광 촉매의 면적이 직사각형 기판 크기에 의해 제한되었다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에서, 도 3에 도시한 것과 같이, 기판(110)에서 적어도 한쪽 면에 요철이 형성되어 그 위에 전극부(120)가 배치되고 또한 광 촉매가 코팅되어 코팅부(130)를 형성할 수 있는데, 요철에 의해 균일한 기판보다 표면의 단면적이 넓어지므로 광 촉매로 코팅되어 공기와 반응하는 면적이 넓게 될 수 있다.
요철 사이의 간격이나 볼록한 부분의 폭은, 전극의 크기, 기판 위에 놓이는 전극이 고정되는 밀착 정도 등을 고려하여 결정할 수 있다.
본 발명의 다른 실시예에서, 기판은 평면 형상이 아니라 전극이 형성된 전극부와 광 촉매가 코팅된 코팅부가 각각 하나의 면을 형성하고 서로 마주보는 입체 형상으로 제작될 수 있다.
도 4는 입체 형상의 기판에 대한 일 예로 육각 기둥을 도시한 것으로, 육각 기둥 기판(111)의 직사각형 6면 중 3개의 면에 전극부(121)가 형성되고, 전극부(121)와 마주보는 3개의 면에 코팅부(131)가 형성되고, 2개의 육각형 면은 공기가 통과할 수 있도록 뚫려 있다. 상기 전극부(121)와 코팅부(131)는 기둥을 형성하는 기둥 면의 바깥쪽이 아닌 안쪽에 형성되는 것이 바람직하다. 또한, 육각 기둥의 직사각형 6개의 기둥 면에서 전극부(121)와 코팅부(131)는 각각 연속되지 않고 번갈아 가며 배치될 수 있다. 입체 형상의 기판은 육각 기둥에 한정되지 않고 4각 기둥, 8각 기둥 등의 짝수의 다각형 기둥도 가능하다.
본 발명의 다른 실시예에서는, 도 5에 도시한 것과 같이, 도 4의 다각형 기둥을 복수 개 연결하여 맞붙인 입체 기판을 형성할 수 있는데, 나란히 붙은 두 기둥 면 중 하나의 기둥 면만을 남겨 이웃하는 다각형 기둥이 해당 기둥 면을 서로 공유하게 할 수 있다. 도 5는 사각 기둥을 4개 연결한 격자 형태의 기판(112)을 도시한 것으로, 팬(40)에 의해 발생하는 기류가 지나갈 격자 내부 면에 서로 마주보도록 전극부(122)와 코팅부(132)를 형성할 수 있다. 육각 기둥을 여러 개 연결하여 벌집 모양의 기판을 형성하는 것도 가능하고, 8각 기둥과 4각 기둥이 번갈아 연결되는 형태의 기판도 가능하다.
또한, 다각형 기둥을 여러 개 대칭적으로 또는 비대칭하게 연결하여 다양한 공간 크기에 대응하게 할 수 있다.
도 4와 도 5의 실시예에서, 다각형 기둥의 기둥 면은 팬에 의해 발생하는 기류가 흐르는 방향과 평행하게 되도록 배치되어(또는 뚫린 다각형 평면이 기류가 흐르는 방향과 수직이 되도록 배치), 뚫린 다각형 면을 통해 기류가 잘 흐르도록 하는 것이 유리하다.
본 발명의 다른 실시예에서, 종래 직사각형 형태의 기판을 그대로 사용하되, 도 6에 도시한 것과 같이, 둘 이상의 기판(113)을 일정 간격을 유지한 채로 나란히 배치하고 전극이 형성되는 면의 뒷면을 광 촉매로 코팅하여 대향하는 면의 전극에서 발생하는 자외선과 반응할 수 있도록 할 수 있다.
도 6의 실시예에서와 같이 한 면에 전극부를 형성하고 반대 면에 코팅부를 형성하는 기판은, 도 5와 같이 다각형 기둥을 복수 개 연결할 때 공유하는 기둥 면에 사용될 수 있다.
본 발명의 다른 실시예에서는, 도 7에 도시한 것과 같이, 전극부(124)가 형성된 종래 직사각형의 기판(114)을 사용하되, 이온 발생기 모듈의 케이스를 지지하기 위한 기둥이나 기둥 사이 간격을 유지하기 위한 그릴의 내부 면에 광 촉매가 코팅된 코팅부(134)를 형성하여 촉매 반응 면적을 늘릴 수 있다.
도 3 실시예에서 광 촉매가 코팅되는 코팅부가 형성되는 요철 기판은 도 4 내지 도 7의 실시예에서 광 촉매가 코팅되는 면에 적용될 수 있다.
본 발명의 또 다른 실시예에서는, 도 8에 도시한 것과 같이, 이온 발생기 모듈의 케이스 내부에서 전극부(125)가 형성된 종래 직사각형 형태의 기판(115) 위쪽, 전극과 케이스 사이에 광 촉매가 코팅된 메쉬(mesh) 코팅부(135)를 배치하여 촉매 반응 면적을 넓힐 수 있다. 즉, 전극부(125)에서 발생한 이온이 상기 팬(40)에 의해 발생하는 기류에 쉽게 혼합될 수 있도록 기판(115)와 케이스 사이 공간을 확보하고 확보된 공간에 메쉬 형태의 코팅부(135)를 배치하여 전극부(124)에서 발생한 자외선과 반응하여 기류에 포함된 오염 물질을 쉽게 분해하도록 할 수 있다.
이와 같이 넓은 면적에 걸쳐 광 촉매를 코팅하여 촉매 반응을 활성화시킴으로써, 공기 중 오염 물질을 쉽게 산화 분해하거나 유기 화합물을 더 많이 분해할 수 있게 된다.
이상 전술한 본 발명의 바람직한 실시예는 예시의 목적을 위해 개시된 것으로, 당업자라면 이하 첨부된 특허청구범위에 개시된 본 발명의 기술적 사상과 그 기술적 범위 내에서, 다양한 다른 실시예들을 개량, 변경, 대체 또는 부가 등이 가능할 것이다.
Claims (12)
- 적어도 한쪽 면에 요철이 형성된 기판; 및양 이온과 음 이온 중 적어도 하나 이상을 발생시키기 위한 하나 이상의 전극을 포함하여 구성되고,상기 요철 위에 광 촉매가 코팅되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 이온 발생기.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 전극은 상기 요철 위에 형성되고 그 위에 상기 광 촉매가 코팅되는 것을 특징으로 이온 발생기.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 전극은 상기 요철이 형성된 반대 면 위에 형성되고,둘 이상의 기판이 상기 전극과 요철이 대향한 상태로 간격을 유지하면서 나란히 배치되는 것을 특징으로 이온 발생기.
- 서로 마주보는 다각형 평면이 뚫린 다각형 기둥 형태의 입체 기판;상기 다각형 기둥을 형성하는 기둥 면 중 적어도 일부의 내면에 형성되어 양 이온과 음 이온 중 적어도 하나 이상을 발생시키기 위한 하나 이상의 전극을 포함하는 전극부; 및상기 전극부가 형성된 기둥 면에 대향하는 면에 광 촉매가 코팅되어 있는 코팅부를 포함하여 구성되는 이온 발생기.
- 제 4항에 있어서,상기 입체 기판이 복수 개 연결되도록 배치되는 것을 특징으로 이온 발생기.
- 제 4항 또는 제 5항에 있어서,상기 입체 기판은 사각 기둥, 육각 기둥 또는 팔각 기둥 중 어느 하나인 것을 특징으로 이온 발생기.
- 제 6항에 있어서,상기 육각 기둥 형태의 입체 기판은 상기 전극부와 코팅부가 번갈아 가며 배치되는 것을 특징으로 이온 발생기.
- 제 4항 또는 제 5항에 있어서,상기 코팅부가 형성되는 기둥 면의 내면에는 요철이 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 이온 발생기.
- 제 4항 또는 제 5항에 있어서,상기 뚫린 다각형 평면이 기류가 흐르는 방향과 수직이 되도록 상기 다각형 기둥이 배치되는 것을 특징으로 이온 발생기.
- 케이스;직사각형 형태의 기판;상기 기판의 한쪽 면에 형성되어 양 이온과 음 이온 중 적어도 하나 이상을 발생시키기 위한 하나 이상의 전극을 포함하는 전극부; 및상기 케이스를 지지하기 위한 기둥 또는 상기 기둥 사이 간격 유지를 위한 그릴 내부 면에 광 촉매가 코팅되어 있는 코팅부를 포함하여 구성되는 이온 발생기.
- 상기 제 10항에 있어서,상기 내부 면은 요철되어 있고 요철 위에 상기 광 촉매가 코팅되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 이온 발생기.
- 케이스;직사각형 형태의 기판;상기 기판의 한쪽 면에 형성되어 양 이온과 음 이온 중 적어도 하나 이상을 발생시키기 위한 하나 이상의 전극을 포함하는 전극부; 및상기 케이스와 기판 사이에 메쉬 형태로 광 촉매가 코팅된 코팅부를 포함하여 구성되는 이온 발생기.
