Description

熱交換器
 本発明は、例えば、車両用空気調和装置に用いられるヒートポンプサイクルにおいて、冷媒と空気とを熱交換するための熱交換器に関するものである。
 従来、この種の熱交換器としては、中空扁平状に形成され、第1流体が流通する複数の熱交換チューブを備え、熱交換チューブの内側を流通する第1流体と熱交換チューブの外側を流通する第2流体とを熱交換させるようにしたものが知られている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。この熱交換器は、例えば、第1流体としての冷媒と第2流体としての空気とを熱交換することによって冷媒を吸熱させるヒートポンプサイクルのエバポレータとして用いることが可能である。
 前記熱交換器の熱交換チューブは、互いに断面長手方向に配置され、第1流体が流通する複数の流体流路を有している。各流体流路には、第1流体と第2流体との熱交換性能を向上させるために、第1流体の流通方向に沿って延びる突条を形成し、流通する第1流体との熱交換面積を増加させるようにしている。

 前記熱交換器の熱交換チューブでは、突条の高さ寸法を大きく形成することによって第1流体との熱交換面積を大きくすることが可能である。しかし、熱交換チューブが突条と一体に押出成型で形成されている場合には、金型の強度や熱交換チューブの耐圧性能を保持する観点から、突条を所定の高さ寸法以上に形成することができない。
 本発明の目的とするところは、金型の強度および熱交換チューブの耐圧性能を保持するとともに、熱交換チューブの第1流体との熱交換面積を大きくすることのできる熱交換器を提供することにある。
 本発明は、前記目的を達成するために、第1流体が流通する複数の流体流路が形成された扁平形状の熱交換チューブを備え、各流体流路を流通する第1流体と熱交換チューブの外側を流通する第2流体とを熱交換させる熱交換器であって、第1流体が流通する各流体流路の壁面には、流体流路の第1流体の流通方向に沿って延びる少なくとも1つの突条が形成され、突条の基端が位置する壁面には、突条に沿って延びる溝が設けられている。
 これにより、溝の底部から突条の頂部までの距離が流体流路の内壁から突条の頂部までの距離よりも大きくなることから、熱交換チューブを成形する際の金型の強度や熱交換チューブの耐圧性能を保持して、実質的に突条の高さ寸法を大きく形成することができ、流体流路内の第1流体との伝熱面積が拡大して冷媒の熱交換チューブに対する熱伝達が促進される。
 本発明によれば、流体流路内の第1流体との伝熱面積が拡大して冷媒の熱交換チューブに対する熱伝達を促進することが可能となるので、第1流体と第2流体との熱交換効率を向上させることが可能となる。

 本発明の熱交換器は、例えば、車両用空気調和装置に適用されるものである。車両用空気調和装置は、図2に示すように、車室A内に設けられた本発明の室内熱交換器10が接続された冷媒回路1を備えている。冷媒回路1には、室内熱交換器10の他に、冷媒を圧縮するための圧縮機2と、車室A外に設けられた室外熱交換器3と、冷媒を減圧するための膨張弁4と、が接続されている。
 冷媒回路1は、室外熱交換器3において冷媒を放熱させるとともに、室内熱交換器10において冷媒を吸熱させることにより車室A内の冷房を行っている。
 室内熱交換器10は、図1に示すように、互いに間隔をおいて設けられた上下一対のヘッダ11と、一端が一方のヘッダ11に接続され、他端が他方のヘッダ11に接続された複数の熱交換チューブ12と、各熱交換チューブ12の間に設けられた複数の伝熱フィン13と、を備えている。
 各ヘッダ11は、例えばアルミニウム等の金属からなり、中心軸が水平方向に延びる中空円筒状に形成された部材である。各ヘッダ11の外周部には、各熱交換チューブ12の端部が接続されている。一方のヘッダ11には、冷媒をヘッダ11内に流入させるための冷媒流入口11aが設けられ、他方のヘッダ11には、ヘッダ11内の冷媒を流出させるための冷媒流出口11bが設けられている。
 各熱交換チューブ12は、例えばアルミニウム等の金属を押出成形することによって、平板状に形成された中空扁平状の管状部材である。各熱交換チューブ12は、流路断面の長手方向(幅方向)が冷媒と熱交換する空気の流通方向に向くように配置される。また、各熱交換チューブ12は、内部を仕切部12aによって流路断面の長手方向(幅方向)に仕切ることによって、図3に示すように、冷媒が流通する流体流路としての冷媒流路12bが流路断面の長手方向(幅方向)に複数形成されている。各冷媒流路12bは、流路断面が略矩形状に形成されている。
 また、各冷媒流路12bの熱交換チューブ12の厚さ方向両側の壁面には、冷媒の流通方向に沿って延びるように設けられ、流路断面の長手方向(幅方向)に複数の突条12cが設けられている。突条12cの基端に位置する冷媒流路12bの壁面には、突条12cに沿って形成された溝12dが熱交換チューブ12の成形の際に同時に形成される。溝12dは、図4に示すように、互いに隣り合う突条12cの間のみに設けられ、仕切部12aと突条12cとの間には設けられていない。ここで、溝12dの底部から突条12cの頂部までの距離D2は、仕切部12aと突条12cとの間の内壁から突条12cの頂部までの距離D1よりも大きくなる。また、仕切部12aと突条12cとの間の内壁と熱交換チューブ12の外面との間の部材の厚さ寸法T2は、溝12dの底部と熱交換チューブ12の外面との間の部材の厚さ寸法T1よりも大きくなる。これにより、各熱交換チューブ12は、実質的に突条12cの高さ寸法が大きくなることから、冷媒流路12bの冷媒との伝熱面積が拡大する。また、各熱交換チューブ12は、各冷媒流路12bの流路断面の長手方向両側の仕切部12aの近傍に溝12dを有さないため、各冷媒流路12bの断面形状が円形に近い形状となるため、熱交換チューブ12を成形する際の金型の強度や熱交換チューブ12の耐圧性能が保持される。
 各伝熱フィン13は、例えばアルミニウム等の金属板を波形状に形成した部材からなり、熱交換チューブ12にロウ付け等によって取り付けられている。
 以上のように構成された熱交換器において、圧縮機2を駆動させると、圧縮機2から吐出された冷媒は、室外熱交換器3において放熱した後、膨張弁4を介して減圧され、室内熱交換器10において吸熱した後、圧縮機2に吸入される。
 このとき、室内熱交換器10において、膨張弁4によって減圧された冷媒は、冷媒流入口11aから一方のヘッダ11に流入した後に、分岐されて各熱交換チューブ12の各冷媒流路12bを流通する。このとき、冷媒流路12bは、突条12cの基端部に溝12dが設けられることによって実質的に突条12cの高さ寸法が大きくなるため、溝12dを有さない冷媒流路と比較して伝熱面積が大きくなり、熱交換チューブ12に対する熱伝達が促進される。
 このように、本実施形態の熱交換器によれば、各冷媒流路12bの壁面には、冷媒流路12bの冷媒の流通方向に沿って延びる突条12cが形成され、突条12cの基端が位置する冷媒流路12bの壁面には、突条12cに沿って延びる溝12dが設けられている。これにより、実質的に突条12cの高さ寸法を大きく形成することができ、冷媒の熱交換チューブ12に対する熱伝達を促進することが可能となるので、冷媒と空気との熱交換効率を向上させることが可能となる。
 また、隣り合う突条12cの間には、それぞれの突条12cに対応する1つの溝12dが形成されている。これにより、簡単な構成で突条12cに対して溝12dを形成することができるので、製造コストの低減が可能である。
 また、仕切部12aの近傍の冷媒流路12bの壁面と熱交換チューブ12の外面との間の部材の厚さ寸法T2は、溝12dの底部と熱交換チューブ12の外面との間の部材の厚さ寸法T1よりも大きく形成されている。これにより、各冷媒流路12bの断面形状を円形に近い形状とすることができるので、熱交換チューブ12を成形する際の金型の強度や熱交換チューブ12の耐圧性能を保持することが可能となる。
 なお、前記実施形態では、車両用空気調和装置の室内熱交換器10に本発明を適用したものを示したが、冷媒を吸熱させるために冷媒と空気とを熱交換させるものに限られず、流体と流体とを熱交換させるための熱交換器であれば、本発明を適用可能である。
 また、前記実施形態では、各冷媒流路12bの熱交換チューブ12の厚さ方向両側の壁面に、それぞれ複数の突条12cを形成したものを示したが、これに限られるものではない。例えば、図5に示すように、各冷媒流路12bの熱交換チューブ12の厚さ方向両側の壁面に、それぞれ少なくとも1つの突条12cを形成し、突条12cの基端に位置する冷媒流路12bの壁面のみに突条12cに沿って溝12dを設け、溝12dと仕切部12aとの間に位置する壁面と熱交換チューブ12の外面との間の部材の厚さ寸法をT2としてもよい。この場合においても、各熱交換チューブ12は、実質的に突条12cの高さ寸法を大きく形成することができ、冷媒の熱交換チューブ12に対する熱伝達を促進することが可能となる。また、熱交換チューブ12を成形する際の金型の強度や熱交換チューブ12の耐圧性能を保持することも可能である。
 また、溝12dは、突条12cの冷媒流路12bの幅方向少なくとも一方側に設けられていれば、前記実施形態と同様の効果を得ることが可能である。

     第1流体が流通する各流体流路の壁面には、流体流路の第1流体の流通方向に沿って延びる少なくとも1つの突条が形成され、
     突条の基端が位置する壁面には、突条に沿って延びる溝が設けられている
     ことを特徴とする熱交換器。
  2.  各流体流路の壁面には、互いに間隔をおいて複数の突条が設けられ、
     隣り合う突条の間には、それぞれの突条に対応する1つの溝が形成されている
     ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の熱交換器。
  3.  各流体流路の間に設けられた仕切部の近傍の流体流路の壁面と熱交換チューブの外面との間の部材の厚さ寸法は、溝の底部と熱交換チューブの外面との間の部材の厚さ寸法よりも大きく形成されている
     ことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の熱交換器。
