Abstract

Description
本発明は、昇圧動作を行なうDC-DCコンバータに関し、特にトランスに用いられるコアの形状に関する。
図1は関連するDC-DCコンバータを示す回路構成図である。図2は図1に示す関連するDC-DCコンバータ内の結合トランス20の等価回路図である。図1に示すDC-DCコンバータは、直流電源Vi、結合トランス20、スイッチTr1,Tr2、ダイオードD1,D2、平滑コンデンサCo、負荷抵抗Ro及び制御回路100を有する。
結合トランス20は、図2に示すように、トランスT3とトランスT4とリアクトルL3とを有する。トランスT3は、一次巻線105a(巻数np)、一次巻線105aに直列に接続された巻き上げ巻線105b(巻数np1)、1次巻線105a及び巻き上げ巻線105bに電磁結合する2次巻線105c(巻数ns)を有する。トランスT4は、トランスT3と同一に構成され、1次巻線106a(巻数np)、1次巻線106aに直列に接続された巻き上げ巻線106b(巻数np1)、1次巻線106a及び巻き上げ巻線106bに電磁結合する2次巻線106c(巻数ns)を有する。
直流電源Viの両端にはトランスT3の1次巻線105aを介してIGBT(絶縁ゲートバイポーラトランジスタ)からなるスイッチTr1のコレクタ-エミッタ間が接続されている。直流電源Viの両端にはトランスT4の1次巻線106aを介してIGBTからなるスイッチTr2のコレクタ-エミッタ間が接続されている。トランスT3の1次巻線105aとスイッチTr1のコレクタとの接続点とスイッチTr1のエミッタとには、トランスT3の巻き上げ巻線105bとダイオードD1と平滑コンデンサCoとからなる直列回路が接続されている。トランスT4の1次巻線106aとスイッチTr2のコレクタとの接続点とスイッチTr2のエミッタとには、トランスT4の巻き上げ巻線106bとダイオードD2と平滑コンデンサCoとからなる直列回路が接続されている。
トランスT3の2次巻線105cとトランスT4の2次巻線106cとの直列回路の両端には、リアクトルL3が接続されている。制御回路100は、平滑コンデンサCoの出力電圧Voに基づき、スイッチTr1がターンオンした後にスイッチTr1がターンオフする前にスイッチTr2がターンオンし、スイッチTr2がターンオフする前にスイッチTr1がターンオンするように制御する。即ち、スイッチTr1とスイッチTr2とを交互にターンオンさせるとともに、1/2周期毎に所定の重複期間だけスイッチTr1とスイッチTr2とを同時にオンさせる制御を行う。
このように構成された関連するDC-DCコンバータは、制御回路100からの制御信号Tr1gによりスイッチTr1をオンさせ、所定の重複期間の後、制御回路100からの制御信号Tr2gによりスイッチTr2をオフさせると、電流は、Vi(+側),105a,Tr1,Vi(-側)に沿って流れるため、スイッチTr1の電流は直線的に増加する。同時に、トランスT3の2次巻線105cにも電圧が発生し、105c,L3,106c,105cに沿った経路を時計回りに電流L3iが流れる。
電流L3iは、トランスの等アンペアーターンの法則により流れて、リアクトルL3にエネルギーを蓄積すると共にトランスT4の2次巻線106cにも同一電流が流れる。このため、トランスT4の1次巻線106aと巻き上げ巻線106bには、巻数に応じた電圧が誘起される。
また、トランスT4の巻き上げ比をA=(np+np1)/npとした場合に、ダイオードD2には、スイッチTr1の電流の1/Aの電流がVi+,106a,106b,D2,Co,Vi-に沿って流れる。ダイオードD2の電流はスイッチTr2をオンする時刻まで流れる。平滑コンデンサCoの出力電圧Voは、直流電源Viの電圧(入力電圧)とトランスT4の1次巻線106aに発生する電圧とトランスT4の巻き上げ巻線106bに発生する電圧との和となる。
トランスT4に発生する電圧は、スイッチTr1のオンデューティ(D=Ton/T)をDとした場合、A・Vi・Dである。TonはスイッチTr1のオン時間である。TはスイッチTr1をスイッチングさせる周期である。平滑コンデンサCoの出力電圧Voは、Vo=Vi(1+A・D)となり、オンデューティDを可変することにより、出力電圧Voを制御できる。
次に、制御回路100からの制御信号Tr2gによりスイッチTr2をオンさせ、所定の重複期間の後、制御回路100からの制御信号Tr1gによりスイッチTr1をオフさせると、電流は、Vi+,106a,Tr2,Vi-に沿って流れるため、スイッチTr2の電流は直線的に増加する。同時に、トランスT4の2次巻線106cにも電圧が発生し、106c,105c,L3,106cの経路を時計回りに電流L3iが増加しながら流れる。
電流L3iは、トランスの等アンペアーターンの法則により流れて、リアクトルL3にエネルギーを蓄積すると共にトランスT3の2次巻線105cにも同一電流が流れる。このため、トランスT3の1次巻線105aと巻き上げ巻線105bには、巻数に応じた電圧が誘起される。
また、トランスT3の巻き上げ比をA=(np+np1)/npとした場合に、ダイオードD1には、スイッチTr2の電流の1/Aの電流がVi+,105a,105b,D1,Co,Vi-に沿って流れる。ダイオードD1の電流はスイッチTr1をオンする時刻まで流れる。平滑コンデンサCoの出力電圧Voは、直流電源Viの電圧(入力電圧)とトランスT3の1次巻線105aに発生する電圧とトランスT3の巻き上げ巻線105bに発生する電圧との和となる。トランスT3に発生する電圧は、スイッチTr2のオンデューティ(D=Ton/T)をDとした場合、A・Vi・Dである。TonはスイッチTr2のオン時間である。TはスイッチTr2をスイッチングさせる周期である。平滑コンデンサCoの出力電圧Voは、Vo=Vi(1+A・D)となり、オンデューティDを可変することにより、出力電圧Voを制御できる。
図1に示す関連するDC-DCコンバータは、日本国特許公開公報特開2010-004704号(特許文献1)に例示されるようにマルチフェーズ方式トランスリンク型昇圧チョッパ回路として知られ、特許文献1参照)、独立していた2つの相をトランスで結合している。これにより、2つ必要であったコアを1つのコアのみで昇圧動作させることができる。
また、結合トランス20は、E字形状の2つのコア部材を延在する面方向で向かい合わせて組み合わせたコア21を有し、コア21は側脚22,23、中央脚24及びギャップ部25を有し、側脚22には巻線31が巻回され、側脚23には巻線32が巻回されている。巻線31には電流i1が流れ、巻線32には電流i2が流れる。
しかしながら、関連する結合トランス20では、図3に示すように、巻線31、巻線32の外側に磁束成分Φ1kが漏れ、また、コア21のギャップ部25においてフリンジング効果による磁束成分Φfrが漏れる。即ち、関連する結合トランス20では、漏れ磁束が大きいため、理論値と差が大きくなっていた。
本発明によれば、漏れ磁束を減らして、理論値に近い設計を可能とする結合トランスを有するDC-DCコンバータを提供することができる。
本発明の技術的側面によれば、DC-DCコンバータは、第1巻線と第2巻線とを有する結合トランスと、直流電源の両端に前記第1巻線を介して接続される第1スイッチと、前記直流電源の両端に前記第2巻線を介して接続される第2スイッチと、前記第1スイッチの両端に接続され、第1ダイオードと平滑コンデンサとからなる第1直列回路と、前記第2スイッチの両端に接続され、第2ダイオードと前記平滑コンデンサとからなる第2直列回路と、前記第1スイッチと前記第2スイッチとを交互にターンオンさせるとともに、1/2周期毎に所定の重複期間だけ前記第1スイッチと前記第2スイッチとを同時にオンさせる制御回路とを有し、前記結合トランスは、I形状コアを二つのE形状コアで挟み、一方のE形状コアの中央脚とI形状コアとの間に第1ギャップ部を設け、他方のE形状コアの中央脚とI形状コアとの間に第2ギャップ部を設け、I形状コアに前記第1巻線及び前記第2巻線を巻回して構成したことを特徴とする。
以下、本発明のDC-DCコンバータの実施の形態を図面を参照しながら詳細に説明する。
本発明のDC-DCコンバータは、2つのE形状のコアと、1つのI形状のコアとを用いることにより、漏れ磁束を減らして、理論値に近い設計を可能とする結合トランスを実現したことを特徴とする。
(実施例1)
図4は実施例1のDC-DCコンバータを示す回路構成図である。図5は実施例1のDC-DCコンバータ内のEEIコアを用いた結合トランスを示す構成図である。即ち、図1~図3に示す関連する結合トランス20に代えて、図5に示す結合トランス1を用いたことを特徴とする。
(実施例1)
図4は実施例1のDC-DCコンバータを示す回路構成図である。図5は実施例1のDC-DCコンバータ内のEEIコアを用いた結合トランスを示す構成図である。即ち、図1~図3に示す関連する結合トランス20に代えて、図5に示す結合トランス1を用いたことを特徴とする。
なお、図4に示すその他の構成は、図1に示す構成と同一構成であり、同一部分には同一符号を付し、その詳細な説明は省略する。ここでは、結合トランス1のみについて説明する。
図5に示す結合トランス1は、I形状コア4を二つのE形状コア2,3で挟んだ構造を有する。E字形状の2つのコア2,3は延在する面方向でI形状コア4を介して中央脚2a,3aが向かい合うようにして一体化される。より具体的には、一方のE形状コア2の中央脚2aとI形状コア4との間に第1ギャップ部5が設けられ、他方のE形状コア3の中央脚3aとI形状コア4との間に第2ギャップ部5が設けられる。またI形状コア4に巻数n1の巻線11(第1巻線)及び巻数n2の巻線12(第2巻線)を巻回して構成される。巻線11には電流i1が流れ、巻線12には電流i2が流れる。その結果、図5に示すように一体化されたコア3,4内には4つの安定した閉磁路が形成される。
図6は従来方式と実施例1の方式とのギャップ長の比較を示す図である。図6(a)は、従来方式の図、図6(b)は実施例1の方式の図である。ギャップ部の磁気抵抗の理論値Rmgは、以下の式で表される。
Rmg=lg/μo・S
ここで、lgはギャップ長であり、Sは断面積であり、μoは透磁率である。

このように構成された本実施例の結合トランス1によれば、巻線11に電流i1が流れ、巻線12に電流i2が流れると、図5に示すように、巻線11、巻線12に流れる電流により発生する磁束はI形状コア4を通り、ギャップ部5を介してE形状コア2,3を通ってI形状コア4に戻る磁路を通る。即ち、閉磁路を形成するため、漏れ磁束が大幅に低減され、ギャップ長が短くなる。
従って、漏れ磁束を減らして、理論値に近い設計を可能とする結合トランスを有するDC-DCコンバータを提供することができる。
一方、図3に示す関連する結合トランス20では、側脚22,23に巻線31,32を巻回しているため、側脚22,23の外側に磁束が漏れる。このため、漏れ磁束が大きくなり、実測値と理論値とのずれが大きくなっている。
(実施例2)
図7は従来例と実施例2との結合トランスの巻線の巻き方の比較を示す図である。図7(a)は関連する結合トランス20の構成図、図7(b)は実施例2の結合トランスの構成図である。

なお、実施例2の結合トランスが変更となるのみで、DC-DCコンバータは、図4に示すものと同一構成である。
図7(a)に示す関連する結合トランス20では、側脚22に巻数n1の巻線31を巻回し、側脚23に巻数n2の巻線32を巻回していた。
これに対して、図7(b)に示す本実施例の結合トランスは、巻線31a(第1巻線)と巻線31aに直列に接続された巻線31b(第2巻線)との直列回路が直流電源Viの正極とスイッチTr1のコレクタとの間に接続されている。巻線32a(第3巻線)と巻線32aに直列に接続された巻線32b(第4巻線)との直列回路が直流電源Viの正極とスイッチTr2のコレクタとの間に接続されている。
結合トランスは、二つのE形状コアを延在する面方向で各中央脚24aを向かい合わせるように一体化してθ形状とする。すなわち、一方のE形状コアの中央脚24aと他方のE形状コアの中央脚24aとの間にギャップ部25aを設け、一方及び他方のE形状コアの一方の側脚22に巻線31a及び巻線32bを巻回し、一方及び他方のE形状コアの他方の側脚23に巻線31b及び巻線32aを巻回して構成されている。
巻線31aの巻数と巻線31bの巻数との合計は巻数n1である。巻線32aの巻数と巻線32bの巻数との合計は巻数n2である。
即ち、巻線31,32の各々の巻線を2つに分散して側脚22に巻線31a、巻線32bを巻回し、側脚23に巻線31b、巻線32aを巻回したので、起磁力が分散され、ギャップ長が短くなる。このため、結合度を向上することができる。
本発明によれば、漏れ磁束を減らして、理論値に近い設計を可能とする結合トランスを有するDC-DCコンバータを提供することができる。

Claims (2)
- 第1巻線と第2巻線とを有する結合トランスと、
直流電源の両端に前記第1巻線を介して接続される第1スイッチと、
前記直流電源の両端に前記第2巻線を介して接続される第2スイッチと、
前記第1スイッチの両端に接続され、第1ダイオードと平滑コンデンサとからなる第1直列回路と、
前記第2スイッチの両端に接続され、第2ダイオードと前記平滑コンデンサとからなる第2直列回路と、
前記第1スイッチと前記第2スイッチとを交互にターンオンさせるとともに、1/2周期毎に所定の重複期間だけ前記第1スイッチと前記第2スイッチとを同時にオンさせる制御回路とを有し、
前記結合トランスは、I形状コアを二つのE形状コアが向かい合うように挟み、一方のE形状コアの中央脚とI形状コアとの間に第1ギャップ部を設け、他方のE形状コアの中央脚とI形状コアとの間に第2ギャップ部を設け、I形状コアに前記第1巻線及び前記第2巻線を巻回して構成したことを特徴とするDC-DCコンバータ。 - 第1巻線とこの第1巻線に直列に接続された第2巻線、第3巻線とこの第3巻線に直列に接続された第4巻線とを有する結合トランスと、
直流電源の両端に前記第1巻線と前記第2巻線とを介して接続される第1スイッチと、
前記直流電源の両端に前記第3巻線と前記第4巻線とを介して接続される第2スイッチと、
前記第1スイッチの両端に接続され、第1ダイオードと平滑コンデンサとからなる第1直列回路と、
前記第2スイッチの両端に接続され、第2ダイオードと前記平滑コンデンサとからなる第2直列回路と、
前記第1スイッチと前記第2スイッチとを交互にターンオンさせるとともに、1/2周期毎に所定の重複期間だけ前記第1スイッチと前記第2スイッチとを同時にオンさせる制御回路とを有し、
前記結合トランスは、二つのE形状コアを各中央脚を向かい合わせるように組み合わせ、一方のE形状コアの中央脚と他方のE形状コアの中央脚との間にギャップ部を設け、一方及び他方のE形状コアの一方の側脚に前記第1巻線及び前記第4巻線を巻回し、一方及び他方のE形状コアの他方の側脚に前記第2巻線及び前記第3巻線を巻回して構成したことを特徴とすることを特徴とするDC-DCコンバータ。
