Abstract

The invention relates to a syringe-type hermetic occlusion surgical clamp for the cervix, intended for use in cases of placenta praevia, said clamp being formed by two occlusion segments, two semi-cylindrical pull elements and a frame formed by a main part and a secondary part. The main part is a hollow cylindrical element having a conical section at one of the ends thereof, inside which two semi-conical sections are coupled. This coupling allows the occlusion segments to be moved toward or away from one another. The secondary part is a hollow cylindrical element having one closed end and one open end. The thickness of the cylinder is reduced inside the open end and this area of reduced thickness is coupled to the area of the circumference of the main part that has a reduced cross-section.

Description

SURGICAL CLAMP, TYPE SYRINGE

TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a syringe type surgically occluding clamp is used to seal the cervix; is a mechanical device which seals the duct cervix, and does not allow the blood outlet said conduit during operation of a patient with bleeding previa.

BACKGROUND

No specific tool for sealing conduit cervix, when an operation is performed by previa.

Although there are some surgical clamps, calls Pozzi as shown in Figure 1, or of Museux (see Figure 2), or Allis (see Figure 3) and also the Lahey (see Figure 4); but these clips do not meet the purpose of producing a hermetic occlusion to which we have referred, and also the design of said clamps both cause damage to vaginal tissue and the cervix; especially; It is very difficult with these clamps fully cover the cervix, and pressure sufficient to occlude it. On the contrary, the invention achieves the proposed duct occlusion tight cervix, and its design produces no injury both in the vagina, and the cervix. This invention is also suitable for the space it occupies in the vaginal canal and its surroundings dimensions.

Since we have used the occlusive clip, we no longer had any bleeding through the conduit of the cervix. Problem to solve:

Reduce maternal death by bleeding.

The World Health Organization says the maternal bleeding ,, the leading cause of maternal death in Latin America, which is a tragedy. The fifth goal of the World Health Organization says quote "we must reduce maternal death", a goal that must be addressed.

How to solve the problem:

The problem of bleeding to which we refer, we have solved using the surgical grasper type syringe is sealingly occluding the neck of the female die, the present invention proposes, in case of placenta previa.

To achieve tight occlusion duct cervix, using our syringe clamp, it is achieved impede blood flow through the conduit drains the cervix; this blood originates from a small portion of the placenta that is detached from the inner face of the matrix.

When the hermetic occlusion duct cervix is ​​achieved, we stop the blood flow at this level; what happens is that blood accumulates between the occluded part and generates bleeding site coming from the insertion site of the placenta is detached partially. This mechanism balances the output pressure of the placenta blood pressure is generated because of the accumulation of blood in the space between the site of the occlusion of the clamp and the blood outlet. This makes no more blood to flow to the aforementioned space. Experience with 66 performing surgery where the clip proposed by the present invention was applied, demonstrates the usefulness of this tool according to who has not had any bleeding through conduit cervix.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The present invention proposes a sealing clamp neck occlusion of the female die to cases of placenta previa, it is an essentially cylindrical device. It is consisting of three main parts mutually assembled, which are as follows:

1. - occlusive segments, see Figure 5.

2. - Semi traction cylinders, see Figure 6.

3. - Armor, see Figure 7.

1. Occlusive segments, see Figure 5: Two elements responsible for compressing the neck of the female die to occlude. These occlusive segment 5, are initially separated by the action of an expander spring (5.1). The ends compressors occlusive segments, Figure 5 open enough to catch the cervix. Also the semi-conical sections (5.2) of the occlusive segment 5, are permitted to be otherwise. Likewise, the overlap of the semi-cylindrical sections (5.3) of each occlusive segment, Figure 5, having different shapes allow assembly.

Furthermore the bolt (5.4) connecting the occlusive segments, Figure 5, is allowed to be replaced by any other element fulfilling the same functions.

2. Semi traction cylinders, see Figure 6: These are two semi-cylinder, and each half cylinder has two flat surfaces oriented at 90 ° to each other. One of the flat surfaces is about one third of the total length of each half godet. This flat surface has two slopes (steps); First slope (6.1) and second gap (6.2). Approximating the first two slopes (6.1) allows a space between the first two drops, that is generated by approximating the two major flat surfaces (6.3) of the semi-cylinder. This space allows accommodation of half-cylinders (5.3) of the occlusive segments.

In both second unevenness (6.2) there is a means threaded bore (6.4), to which the clamping cylinder (6.5) is screwed.

Both semi traction cylinders, 6 are joined to the semi-cylinder (5.3) of the occlusive segment Figure 5 by the bolt (5.4).

In each flat major surface (6.3) on opposite first and second slopes unevenness ends, a hole is machined in the two major flat surfaces (6.3). In these holes a spring (6.9) separating two semi traction cylinders, Figure 6. On the outside of one of the semi-cylinder drive, Figure 6 is placed, having a series of machining grooves (6.6) engaging with Appendix (segment) clamping (7.1) of the armature 7.

Adjacent to the series of grooves (6.6), a threaded bore terminal (6.7), to which the release cylinder (6.8) is machined screws.

Moreover, the clamping cylinders (6.5) are allowed other ergonomic shapes.

Also, the number of grooves (6.6) and the appendix (segment) clamping (7.1), are allowed to be changed by any other geometric shape that fulfills the same purpose.

Similarly, the various elements of the grippers can have anti-skid finish. 3. Armor, see Figure 7. This structure corresponds to the cover of the surgical forceps, syringe type, sealingly occlusion; which is formed of two parts: 1. the main part (7.2) and 2. the secondary part (7.3).

The main part (7.2) is a substantially cylindrical element, hollow all along its longitudinal axis which covers from the semi conic sections (5.2) of the occlusive segment 5, to the intermediate part of the series of grooves (6.6 ). At one end of the armature has a conical section (7.4); in the inner part of the semi conical sections (5.2) of the occlusive segment, Figure 5. This coupling allows the separation or approximation of the occluder segments, Figure 5. After the conical section (7.4) is machined engage diametrically opposite, two elliptical grooves (7.5) allowing the passage of the closing cylinders (6.5).

The claims below claim are based on the problem of bleeding placenta previa is a serious complication during a caesarean operation is going on, which we are offering with our device an alternative solution which we experience in the Civil Hospital Fray Antonio Alcalde, Guadalajara Jalisco.

Reviewing past experiences to ours does not show that there are devices that solve this problem.

Claims

CLAIMS Having described my invention, as above, I consider as a novelty and claim my property the contained in the following claims.
