在现今各式消费性电子产品的市场中,个人数字助理 (PDA) 、移动电话 (mobile Phone) 、笔记本电脑 (notebook) 及平板计算机 (tablet PC) 等可携式电子产品皆已广泛的使用触控面板 (touch panel) 作为人机界面。此外,由于目前电子产品的设计皆以轻、薄、短、小为方向,因此在产品上无足够空间容纳如键盘、鼠标等传统输入设备,尤其在讲求人性化设计的平板计算机需求的带动下,触控面板已经一跃成为关键的零组件之一。
现今的触控面板上大致可区分为显示区及周围遮掩区,其中在显示区中设计有触控功能来感测用户的触控输入,而周围遮掩区是采用实体按键来作为按压输入。然而,传统的实体按键必须在触控面板的表面进行破孔才能配置使用,如此将导致触控面板的表面外观效果较不理想、可靠性差且不易清洁。再者,实体按键需要多增加一道组装制程,因而制程较为复杂。
发明内容
本发明提供一种触控面板及其制作方法,其是透过触控面板的架构设计及电极 阵列 结构的布局调整,在不需使用实体按键下来在同一触控面板表面上实现不同的触控反应功能,藉以解决上述实体按键所带来的问题。
本发明提出一种触控面板,包含有一上盖基板、一第一电极 阵列 、一图案化的遮蔽层以及至少一第二电极 阵列 。上盖基板包含一显示区及一周边区,其中周边区围绕显示区。第一电极 阵列 ,对应位于显示区。图案化的遮蔽层对应位于周边区。至少一第二电极 阵列 ,对应位于图案化的遮蔽层的一第一图案化区域。
进一步的,该第一电极阵列及该图案化的遮蔽层设置于该上盖基板,并且该第二电极阵列设置于该图案化的遮蔽层。
进一步的,该第二电极阵列电性连接该第一电极阵列,以作为该第一电极阵列的延伸部。
进一步的,该图案化的遮蔽层更包含一第二图案化区域。
进一步的,该第一图案化区域及该第二图案化区域分别包含一镂空图案。
进一步的,该 触控面板 更包含一彩色膜层,对应该图案化的遮蔽层来设置。
进一步的,该第一电极阵列及该第二电极阵列形成于同一感应电极层。
进一步的,该 触控面板 更包含一钝化层,设置于该感应电极层及该彩色膜层之间。
进一步的,该第一电极阵列及该第二电极阵列分别包含复数个沿第一轴向平行排列的第一感应线及复数个沿第二轴向平行排列的第二感应线,并且该些第一感应线及该些第二感应线彼此绝缘。
进一步的,每一该些第一感应线包含:复数个第一导电单元,属于该感应电极层的一导电层,并且沿第一轴向来彼此间隔设置;及复数个第一导线,属于该导电层,并且分别电性连接第一轴向上相邻的两个第一导电单元;其中,在该些相邻的第一感应线之间,该些相邻的第一导电单元所围成的区域分别定义为一配置区。
进一步的,每一该些第二感应线包含:复数个第二导电单元,属于该导电层,并且分别设置在该配置区;及复数个第二导线,属于该感应电极层的一接线层,并且对应跨越该些第一导线来分别电性连接第二轴向上相邻的两个第二导电单元。
进一步的,该感应电极层进一步包含复数个绝缘区块, 分别对应设置于该些第一导线及该些第二导线之间,使该些第一感应线及该些第二感应线电性绝缘。
进一步的,该 触控面板 更包含一引线结构,属于该感应电极层的一接线层,并且对应位于该周边区来电性连接该第一电极阵列及该第二电极阵列。
本发明提出一种触控面板的制作方法包含下述步骤。首先,形成一图案化的遮蔽层,以对应位于一上盖基板的一周边区,其中周边区围绕上盖基板的一显示区。接着,形成一第一电极 阵列 及一第二电极 阵列 ,其中第一电极 阵列 对应位于显示区,而第二电极 阵列 对应位于图案化的遮蔽层的一第一图案化区域。
进一步的,该图案化的遮蔽层及该第一电极阵列设置于该上盖基板,并且该第二电极阵列设置于该图案化的遮蔽层。
进一步的,该图案化的遮蔽层更包含一第二图案化区域。
进一步的,该 触控面板的制作方法 进一步包含:对应该图案化的遮蔽层来形成一彩色膜层。
进一步的,该第一电极阵列及该第二电极阵列形成于同一感应电极层。

进一步的,该涂布及图案化该接线层的步骤进一步包含形成一引线结构,对应位于该周边区,并且电性连接该第一电极阵列及该第二电极阵列。
基于上述,本发明所提供的触控面板以及制作方法,其是在触控面板的显示区及周边区内皆对应设置有电极阵列,以让显示区及周边区内的电极 阵列分别具有各自的触控反应功能。如此一来,让触控面板的面板表面上不需任何破孔,以维持触控面板的表面外观的平整性,且容易清洁。此外,用来实现不同触控反应功能的电极阵列可以是在同一道制程步骤完成,让本发明的触控面板更具有可靠性佳及制程简单的优点。

具体实施方式
图 1 绘示本发明一实施例的触控面板的俯视图。其中,触控面板 100 可例如是应用于计算机、手机、相机、音响设备、车用设备等具屏幕显示功能的电子装置,并且本实施例的触控面板 100 是以背面俯视的视角来进行说明,所谓的背面也就是触控面板 100 使用时非使用者触碰的表面。如图 1 所示,触控面板 100 包含一上盖基板 110 、一第一电极 阵列 120 、至少一第二电极 阵列 120 '以及一图案化的遮蔽层 (Patterned Mask Layer)150 。
上盖基板 110 包含一显示区 A 以及一周边区 B ,其中周边区 B 围绕显示区 A 。具体来讲,上述电子装置的屏幕可视区是例如对应位于显示区 A ,而图案化的遮蔽层 150 在设计上则是对应位于周边区 B ,以在显示区 A 外围提供遮蔽及隐藏的作用。本实施例的图案化的遮蔽层 150 可例如是采用不透明 ( 如黑色 ) 材料印刷或涂布而成。再者,本实施例的图案化的遮蔽层 150 进一步包含一第一图案化区域 151 ,并且第一图案化区域 151 中设计有至少一镂空图案 151a 及 151b ,本实施例是例如设计为返回键及首页键的按键符号的镂空图案。其中,第一图案化区域 151 中所设计的镂空图案的图形态样及数量并不限于此,实际更可依功能设计需求而包含其他如菜单键、开关键等按键符号。
第一电极 阵列 120 对应位于显示区 A 中,让显示区 A 不仅得以作为观看屏幕显示的窗口,更可用来提供屏幕操作的触控反应功能。第二电极 阵列 120 '对应位于图案化的遮蔽层 150 的第一图案化区域 151 中,让周边区 B 得以藉由图案化的遮蔽层 150 的第一图案化区域 151 及对应设计的第二电极 阵列 120 '来提供虚拟按键操作的触控反应功能。藉此,本实施例即可实现在触控面板 100 的同一面板表面上实现不同的触控反应功能。
此外,本实施例的图案化的遮蔽层 150 更进一步包含一第二图案化区域 152 ,并且第二图案化区域 152 可以设计有至少一商标、标记或型号的标示符号的镂空图案 152a ,以让周边区 B 更进一步是用来提供标示符号的显示。
为了更具体说明本实施例的触控面板 100 的迭层架构,请再一并参考图 2 ,为图 1 的 C-C '剖面示意图。本实施例的第一电极 阵列 120 及图案化的遮蔽层 150 是设置在上盖基板 110 ,而第二电极 阵列 120 '则是进一步设置在图案化的遮蔽层 150 。其中,上盖基板 110 可例如是采用玻璃的材质,并且由于本实施例的上盖基板 110 除了用来作为触控用的基板之外,更是用来作为保护用的基板,因此上盖基板 110 可例如是已先经过强化、抗眩、抗菌等表面处理。
在实际制程上,第一电极 阵列 120 及第二电极 阵列 120 '可例如是经由同一道制程步骤而在同一感应电极层制作而成。其中,第一电极 阵列 120 及第二电极 阵列 120 '分别包含复数个沿第一轴向 ( 本实施例为 X 轴 ) 平行排列的第一感应线 122 及复数个沿第二轴向 ( 本实施例为 Y 轴 ) 平行排列的第二感应线 124 ,并且所述的第一感应线 122 及所述的第二感应线 124 是彼此绝缘。
更具体来说明,每一第一感应线 122 包含复数个第一导电单元 1221 及复数个第一导线 1222 ;而每一第二感应线 124 包含复数个第二导电单元 1241 及复数个第二导线 1242 。其中,第一导电单元 1221 、第一导线 1222 及第二导电单元 1241 是由一导电层透过微影制程 (Photo Lithography) 来制作而成,换句话说,第一导电单元 1221 、第一导线 1222 及第二导电单元 1241 皆属于导电层。此外,所形成的第一导电单元 1221 是沿第一轴向来彼此间隔设置,而第一导线 1222 则是分别电性连接第一轴向上相邻的两个第一导电单元 1221 。并且在相邻的第一感应线 122 之间,相邻的第一导电单元 1221 所围成的区域分别可定义出一配置区 D ,而所形成的第二导电单元 1241 即是分别设置在配置区 D 中。第二导线 1242 则是进一步由一接线层透过微影制程来制作而成,以用来对应跨越第一导线 1222 而分别电性连接第二轴向上相邻的两个第二导电单元 1241 ,换句话说,第二导线 1242 是属于接线层。再者,感应电极层中更包含一绝缘层,本实施例的绝缘层是形成有复数个绝缘区块 123 ,以分别对应设置于第一导线 1222 及第二导线 1242 之间,使得第一感应线 122 及第二感应线 124 之间彼此电性绝缘。藉此,上述导电层、接线层及绝缘层的迭层结构即可架构出本实施例的感应电极层。
上述导电层可例如是采用透明导电材料的设计,透明导电材料可包含氧化铟锡( indium tin oxide, ITO )、氧化铟锌 (indium zinc oxide, IZO) 、氧化镉锡 (cadmium tin oxide, CTO) 、氧化铝锌 (aluminum zinc oxide, AZO) 、氧化铟锌锡 (indium tin zinc oxide, ITZO) 、氧化锌 (zinc oxide) 、氧化镉 (cadmium oxide) 、氧化铪 (hafnium oxide, HfO) 、氧化铟镓锌 (indium gallium zinc oxide, InGaZnO) 、氧化铟镓锌镁 (indium gallium zinc magnesium oxide, InGaZnMgO) 、氧化铟镓镁 (indium gallium magnesium oxide, InGaMgO) 或氧化铟镓铝 (indium gallium aluminum oxide, InGaAlO) 等,而接线层中的第二导线 1242 除了可以采用相同于导电层的材料之外,亦可采用金属导线 ( 如:银线 ) 的设计。
本实施例的触控面板 100 更包括一引线结构 140 ,对应位于周边区 B ,并且电性连接第一电极 阵列 120 、第二电极 阵列 120 '。引线结构 140 更进一步电性连接一控制单元 ( 图未示 ) ,用来传递控制单元的驱动信号以及第一电极 阵列 120 及第二电极 阵列 120 '的感测信号。此外,本实施例的引线结构 140 可例如是在上述形成第二导线 1242 时,一并藉由微影制程制作而成,并同样属于第二导线 1242 所属的接线层。
附带说明的是,本实施例的第二电极 阵列 120 '是设计电性连接第一电极 阵列 120 ,以作为第一电极 阵列 120 的延伸部。如此一来,让控制单元对于第一电极 阵列 120 及第二电极 阵列 120 '的触控感测模式可以一体设计。本实施例的控制单元是例如依序产生驱动信号给第一电极 阵列 120 及第二电极 阵列 120 '的每一第一感应线 122 ,并统一经由第二电极 阵列 120 '的第二感应线 124 来接收触控感测信号,藉以实现第一电极 阵列 120 及第二的电极 阵列 120 '的触控反应功能。
再者,由于本实施例的图案化的遮蔽层 150 的第一图案化区域 151 及第二图案化区域 152 分别包含有镂空图案 151a 、 151b 、 152a ,换言之,所述的镂空图案 151a 、 151b 、 152a 的镂空部位是属于可供光线穿透的部位,因此本实施例的触控面板 100 可再包含一彩色膜层 170 ,对应图案化的遮蔽层 150 来设置,使得第一图案化区域 151 及第二图案化区域 152 中的镂空图案 151a 、 151b 、 152a 得以进一步呈现出色彩效果。其中,彩色膜层 170 可例如是由彩色油墨、彩色光阻、导光油墨印刷或喷涂而成,或者藉由彩色贴膜黏贴而成,并且同一彩色膜层 170 并不仅限于单一颜色。如此,本实施例的触控面板 100 在外观上得以更富色彩效果而较为美观,并且只需简单藉由彩色膜层 170 的颜色变换,即可创造出产品的独特性。
最后,本实施例的触控面板 100 更可进一步包含一钝化层 (Passivation Layer)180 ,用来设置在前述的感应电极层及彩色膜层 170 之间,并且完全覆盖感应电极层,以避免感应电极层受到化学性的侵蚀或物理性的损害而影响触控感应的功能。
接下来,进一步说明本发明的触控面板 100 的制作过程。请基于图 2 所示的剖面图架构来参考图 3 所绘示的本发明一实施例的触控面板的制作方法的流程图。并且为了更明确地说明,可一并对应参考第 4-7 图所绘示的本发明一实施例的触控面板的阶段架构俯视示意图。
首先,提供一上盖基板 110 (步骤 S1 ),如图 4 所示,上盖基板 110 是根据触控面板 100 所搭配的电子装置的显示器尺寸而规划有一显示区 A 以及一周边区 B ,周边区 B 通常是围绕于显示区 A 。接着,形成一图案化的遮蔽层 150 于上盖基板 110 上,并对应位于上盖基板 110 的周边区 B (步骤 S2 )。图案化的遮蔽层 150 可例如是以印刷或喷涂制程所涂布而成,且本实施例的图案化的遮蔽层 150 包含一第一图案化区域 151 及一第二图案化区域 152 。其中,第一图案化区域 151 及第二图案化区域 152 分别包含至少一镂空图案 151a 、 151b 、 152a ,本实施例的第一图案化区域 151 中的镂空图案 151a 、 151b 是作为虚拟按键用的符号,而第二图案化区域 152 中的镂空图案 152a 则是作为标示用的符号。
在步骤 S2 之后,进行涂布一导电层(步骤 S3 ),并进而进行图案化所述的导电层(步骤 S4 )。如图 5 所示,本实施例的导电层除了对应涂布位于上盖基板 110 的显示区 A 之外,更是进一步对应涂布于图案化的遮蔽层 150 的第一图案化区域 151 ,并且所述的导电层将形成有复数个沿第一轴向 (X 轴 ) 平行排列的第一感应线 122 ,其中每一第一感应线 122 包含复数个第一导电单元 1221 及复数个第一导线 1222 ,所述的第一导电单元 1221 沿第一轴向来彼此间隔设置,而相邻的两个第一导电单元 1221 之间透过第一导线 1222 来电性连接,再者,在相邻的第一感应线 122 之间,相邻的第一导电单元 1221 所围成的区域分别定义为一配置区 D ;此外,所述的导电层更形成有复数个第二导电单元 1241 ,分别设置在上述形成的配置区 D 。
紧接着,涂布及图案化一绝缘层(步骤 S5 )。如图 6 所示,本实施例所进行的涂布及图案化绝缘层,是例如用来形成复数个绝缘区块 123 分别对应设置于每一第一导线 1222 上。在步骤 S5 之后,再涂布及图案化一接线层(步骤 S6 )。如图 7 所示,本实施例所进行的涂布及图案化接线层,是例如用来形成复数个第二导线 1242 分别对应设置于每一绝缘区块 123 上。如此一来,接线层中的第二导线 1242 得以透过绝缘区块 123 而跨越导电层中的第一导线 1222 ,以分别沿第二轴向 (Y 轴 ) 来电性连接相邻的两个第二导电单元 1241 ,进而整体架构出复数个沿第二轴向平行排列的第二感应线 124 。藉此,上述导电层、绝缘层及接线层所形成的感应电极层即可在上盖基板 110 的显示区 A 上形成一第一电极 阵列 120 ,并且在图案化的遮蔽层 150 上形成一第二电极 阵列 120 '。
此外,本实施例在步骤 S6 进行涂布及图案化接线层时,更可进一步形成一引线结构 140 于图案化的遮蔽层 150 而对应位于上盖基板 110 的周边区 B ,并用来电性连接第一电极 阵列 120 及第二电极 阵列 120 '。
接下来,形成一钝化层 180 来覆盖于前述架构出的感应电极层(步骤 S7 )。其中,钝化层 180 可例如是采用无机材料,例如氮化硅 (silicon nitride) 、氧化硅 (silicon oxide) 与氮氧化硅 (silicon oxynitride) ,或者采用有机材料,例如丙烯酸类树脂 (acrylic resin) ,或其它适合的透明材料。
最后,形成一彩色膜层 170 于钝化层 180 上,并对应位于图案化的遮蔽层 150 (步骤 S8 )。其中,彩色膜层 170 可例如是由彩色油墨、彩色光阻、导光油墨印刷或喷涂而成,并且所述的印刷或喷涂制程更可采取分道印刷的制程,以使彩色膜层 170 具备多样性的彩色效果。此外,所属技术领域具有通常知识者可以了解,彩色膜层 170 在本实施例的触控面板 100 的架构中,并不仅限能位于钝化层 180 上,只要是能对应位于图案化的遮蔽层 150 ,让从触控面板 100 正面观看时,图案化的遮蔽层 150 的第一图案化区域 151 及第二图案化区域 152 中的镂空图案 151a 、 151b 、 152a 能藉由彩色膜层 170 而具有彩色效果,皆是包含在本发明 权利要求 。
请参考图 8 ,绘示本发明另一实施例的触控面板的俯视图。本实施例大致与图 1 的实施例相同,差异点在于,本实施例在感应电极层中所形成的第一电极 阵列 120 及第二电极 阵列 120 '并非电性连接。换句话说,第一电极 阵列 120 及每一第二电极 阵列 120 '各自的第一感应线 122 及第二感应线 124 皆是分别透过引线结构 140 来电性连接控制单元,藉此让控制单元是独立对于第一电极 阵列 120 及第二电极 阵列 120 '来进行驱动及感测控制,加快触控感测的扫描时间。此外,本实施例更是进一步将第二电极 阵列 120 '设计成两组,以分别用来对应两个按键符号的镂空图案,而实际的第一电极 阵列 120 与第二电极 阵列 120 '的配置关系及迭层架构态样是视实际需求而订,在此并非为本发明所限制。
综上所述,本发明的触控面板以及其制作方法是让触控面板的显示区及周边区内皆对应设计有电极 阵列 ,并且在周边区中进一步透过图案化的遮蔽层来形成虚拟按键及标示等符号。藉此,让同一触控面板表面上的显示区及周边区分别具有各自的触控反应功能,并且周边区也更具有显示标示符号的作用。如此一来,本发明得以具有触控面板表面平整性佳、表面容易清洁等优点。此外,实际用来实现不同触控反应功能的电极 阵列 可以是在同一道制程步骤完成,让本发明的触控面板更具有可靠性佳及制程简单的优点。

  1. 一种触控面板, 其特征在于, 包含:
    一上盖基板,包含一显示区及一周边区,其中该周边区围绕该显示区;
    一第一电极 阵列 ,对应位于该显示区;
    一图案化的遮蔽层,对应位于该周边区;以及
    至少一第二电极 阵列 ,对应位于该图案化的遮蔽层的一第一图案化区域。
  2. 如权利要求1所述的触控面板,其特征在于,该第一电极阵列及该图案化的遮蔽层设置于该上盖基板,并且该第二电极阵列设置于该图案化的遮蔽层。
  3. 如权利要求1所述的触控面板,其特征在于,该第二电极阵列电性连接该第一电极阵列,以作为该第一电极阵列的延伸部。
  4. 如权利要求1所述的触控面板,其特征在于,该图案化的遮蔽层更包含一第二图案化区域。
  5. 如权利要求4所述的触控面板,其特征在于,该第一图案化区域及该第二图案化区域分别包含一镂空图案。
  6. 如权利要求1或4所述的触控面板,其特征在于,更包含一彩色膜层,对应该图案化的遮蔽层来设置。

    复数个第一导电单元,属于该感应电极层的一导电层,并且沿第一轴向来彼此间隔设置;及
    复数个第一导线,属于该导电层,并且分别电性连接第一轴向上相邻的两个第一导电单元;
    其中,在该些相邻的第一感应线之间,该些相邻的第一导电单元所围成的区域分别定义为一配置区。
  11. 如权利要求10所述的触控面板,其特征在于,每一该些第二感应线包含:
    复数个第二导电单元,属于该导电层,并且分别设置在该配置区;及
    复数个第二导线,属于该感应电极层的一接线层,并且对应跨越该些第一导线来分别电性连接第二轴向上相邻的两个第二导电单元。
  12. 如权利要求11所述的触控面板,其特征在于,该感应电极层进一步包含复数个绝缘区块,分别对应设置于该些第一导线及该些第二导线之间,使该些第一感应线及该些第二感应线电性绝缘。
  13. 如权利要求7所述的触控面板,其特征在于,更包含一引线结构,属于该感应电极层的一接线层,并且对应位于该周边区来电性连接该第一电极阵列及该第二电极阵列。
  14. 一种触控面板的制作方法,其特征在于,步骤包含:
    形成一图案化的遮蔽层,以对应位于一上盖基板的一周边区,其中该周边区围绕该上盖基板的一显示区;以及
    形成一第一电极阵列及一第二电极阵列,其中该第一电极阵列对应位于该显示区,而该第二电极阵列对应位于该图案化的遮蔽层的一第一图案化区域。
  15. 如权利要求14所述的触控面板的制作方法,其特征在于,该图案化的遮蔽层及该第一电极阵列设置于该上盖基板,并且该第二电极阵列设置于该图案化的遮蔽层。
  16. 如权利要求14所述的触控面板的制作方法,其特征在于,该图案化的遮蔽层更包含一第二图案化区域。

    涂布一导电层;
    图案化该导电层,用以形成复数个沿第一轴向平行排列的第一感应线及复数个第二导电单元,其中每一该些第一感应线包含复数个第一导电单元及复数个第一导线,其中该些第一导电单元沿第一轴向来彼此间隔设置,而相邻的两个第一导电单元之间透过所述的第一导线来电性连接,并且在该些相邻的第一感应线之间,该些相邻的第一导电单元所围成的区域分别定义为一配置区,该些第二导电单元分别设置于该配置区;
    涂布及图案化一绝缘层,以形成复数个绝缘区块分别对应设置于每一该些第一导线;以及
    涂布及图案化一接线层,以形成复数个第二导线分别对应设置于每一该些绝缘区块,其中该些第二导线分别沿第二轴向来电性连接相邻的两个第二导电单元,以形成复数个沿第二轴向平行排列的第二感应线。
  21. 如权利要求20所述的触控面板的制作方法,其特征在于,该涂布及图案化该接线层的步骤进一步包含形成一引线结构,对应位于该周边区,并且电性连接该第一电极阵列及该第二电极阵列。
