Abstract

The invention relates to a method for controlling a friction clutch in a drive train in a motor vehicle, comprising a clutch actuator that adjusts clutch torque to be transmitted by means of the friction clutch, a control device by means of which the clutch torque to be transmitted is determined from a driver's wish and characteristics of the motor vehicle and is converted into a control variable for controlling the clutch actuator, and an arrangement for detecting and damping grabbing vibrations of the friction clutch in that a correction function is superimposed on the control variable. In order to be able to effectively damp grabbing vibrations in the event of real-time problems of the clutch control, a time progression of the grabbing vibrations is observed over a specified first time period up to a specified time, and for a second time period that goes beyond said time a correction function is predicted and is superimposed on the control variable during the second time period.
