Description

An article of footwear comprising an upper for receiving the foot of a wearer and a foot support system in the stem

The invention relates to an article of footwear comprising an upper for receiving the foot of a user and a system for holding said leg in said rod.

The invention relates in particular footwear for sports. When practicing a sport, it is necessary that the foot is well maintained in the footwear. Indeed, poor posture can lead to friction of the foot against the interior of the footwear and / or increase the risk of twisting of the ankle, which may cause more or less serious injuries.

To avoid these drawbacks, is known from document US-4,756,098 an article of footwear comprising a rod mounted on an upper face of a base and intended to receive the foot of a wearer and a foot support system in said rod, said system comprising a flexible clamping assembly that includes flexible and inextensible straps arranged in pairs either side of the outer part of the rod corresponding to the mid foot, each strap being secured in part below the sole and comprising an upper opening in which slides a drawstring.

Thus, when the user puts on the article of footwear and greenhouse laces, it forces the flexible straps to be pressed around the foot of said user, which allows to tighten the upper and the sole respectively against the midfoot and said plant foot and thus to ensure maintenance of said foot into said article of footwear.

However, this item of footwear does not entirely satisfactory, in that the clamping of the rod and more particularly of the sole against the foot of the user is relatively small. Indeed, the straps are fixed by sewing on the upper portion of the rod and on each side of the sole, so that the traction effort exerted by the user on the yaw is constrained by the stiffness of said rod and said sole.

In particular, such footwear does not allow the user to adapt adequately tightening the holder on the morphology of the foot.

The invention aims to improve the prior art by providing a footwear designed to allow a user to benefit from a larger holding his foot in the said article, said holding further being adaptable to morphology.

To do this, the invention provides an article of footwear comprising an upper for receiving the foot of a user, said rod being mounted on a top face of a sole structure, said footwear having a foot support system in the rod comprises at least one flexible clamping assembly that extends from either side of an outer part of the rod, said assembly being arranged to be stretched and maintained in stretched condition around said outer part in order to ensure a clamping of said outer part of the foot area which is intended to be arranged facing the holding device further comprising a structural insert having a base plate which extends continuously between the sole structure and the rod , said base plate being bordered on both sides by respectively one flank disposed opposite one side of the stem, the flexible assembly being associated with each of said sidewalls of s Porte that said assembly tensioned state exerts a tensile force on said flanks.

Other features and advantages of the invention will become apparent in the following description with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:

- Figure 1 is a schematic exploded perspective view of footwear according to an embodiment of the invention; - Figure 2 is a schematic perspective view of the footwear of Figure 1;

- Figure 3 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the operating principle of a system for holding an article of footwear according to another embodiment of the invention.

In connection with these figures, described below an article of footwear comprising a shaft 1 for receiving the foot of a user. In known manner, the rod 1 is mounted on an upper face 2 of a sole structure, for example by means of an insole 13.

In particular, the sole structure includes an upper midsole 3 which includes face 2 on which the rod 1 is mounted and a lower face equipped with an outsole 4, wherein said outsole is adapted to be in contact with the ground.

Moreover, a sock sole can be disposed in the rod 1 to be interposed between the foot sole of the wearer and the insole 13.

The footwear further comprises a foot support system in the shaft 1 which comprises at least one flexible clamp assembly 5 which extends on either side of an outer portion of the shaft 1 and is arranged to be stretched and maintained in stretched condition about the outer portion of the shaft 1 which it surrounds, to ensure a clamping of said outer part of the foot area which is intended to be arranged facing.

Furthermore, the holding system comprises a structural insert 6 to which the clamp assembly 5 is associated, said insert having a base plate 7 which extends continuously between the sole structure and the rod 1.

In relation to Figures 1 and 2, the plate 7 is mounted on the upper face 2 extending continuously between the midsole 3 and the rod 1. In particular, during manufacture of the footwear, the base plate 7 of the insert 6 is disposed beneath the insole which allows to associate the rod 1 on the upper side 2 of the midsole 3. By Furthermore, FIG 3 schematically shows another embodiment, wherein the base plate 7 extends continuously between the rod - 3 midsole and the outsole 4.

In connection with Figure 1, the base plate 7 has a recess before 7a and / or 7b a rear notch enabling to adjust its rigidity.

In addition, the upper face 2 of the midsole 3 has a recess 8 in the hollow in which the base plate 7 is disposed, said cavity having a shape complementary to that of said plate. In connection with Figure 1, the cavity 8 comprises two bridges of material 8a, 8b each having a shape complementary to the notch respectively prior 7a and the rear notch 7b of the plate 7.

The base plate 7 is bounded on either side by a respective flank 9 arranged opposite one side of the rod 1, the flexible assembly 5 is associated with each of said sidewalls so that said stretched state in all exercises a tensile force in the direction T1 on said flanks.

In addition, the insert 6 has a certain mechanical strength, in particular for transmitting the flanks 9 of the plating efforts that the plate 7 carries on the sole of the foot of the user, which improves the clamping and thus the maintenance said foot in the footwear. To do this, the insert 6 may in particular be carried out based on a thermoplastic polymer material, such as thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU).

According to one embodiment, the sidewalls 9 are equipped with at least one slit 9a wherein the flexible assembly 5 is associated. Moreover, the flexible assembly 5 comprises at least one pair of two flexible straps 10 which extend respectively against a side of the outer portion of the shaft 1, more precisely respectively against the medial quarter and the lateral area of said outer part of the rod 1. The straps each have a bottom end 10a associated with a flank 9 respectively and an upper end 10b, said upper ends being provided with a clamping means which is arranged to be soft and retain tensioned state the straps 10 about said outer part . In particular, the clamping means comprises a loop 1 1, which connects the upper ends 10b of the straps 10, said ends each comprising an eyelet 12 wherein said yaw is slidably disposed.

Moreover, upper ends 10b of the straps 10 are arranged on both sides of a portion of the kick shaft 1 and the lower ends 10a of a pair of straps 10 are slidably associated to a flank respectively 9 being connected by an upper strip 10c which extends around a portion of kick of the rod 1. Thus, the straps 10 are free to slide with respect to the rod 1, which allows the user to perform a clamping which is perfectly adapted to the morphology, and thus get a better maintenance of the foot in 'footwear.

In connection with the figures, the straps 10 of a pair are formed in one piece with the upper belt 10c which interconnects the lower ends 10b of said straps, said member being slidably mounted in first and second slots 9a a flank 9 respectively.

Thus, when the user pulls on each end of the lace 1 1, it exerts a tension on each upper end 10b of a pair of straps 10, said voltage being transmitted to the upper belt 10c which comes into greater support in the direction D1 and lateral support respectively along directions D2 and D3 on the hit foot portion of the rod 1. In addition, the voltage is transmitted to each sidewall 9 via the slit 9a of said flank which slides in a lower end 10a, which generates a tensile force T1 upwardly on said side and a slight curvature of the plate base 7. thus, the insert 6 is deformed so as to match the shape of the region of the sole of the foot opposite which it is disposed, which gives a better holding said leg at said area.

In addition, by tying the lace 1 1, the user forces the upper ends 10b of a pair of straps 10 to move toward each other and to bear against the strike root portion of the rod 1, which allows said portion from contacting the foot and improve maintaining said foot in the footwear.

In the embodiment shown, the flexible assembly 5 comprises a plurality of pairs of two straps 10 which are distributed along a portion of the midfoot of the rod 1. Thus, the footwear allows to provide significant maintenance on the midfoot area.

For support of the foot, the flexible assembly 5 may also comprise a pair of two rear straps (not shown) whose lower ends are slidably associated respectively one flank 9, said lower ends being connected by a rear band s extends around a rearfoot portion of the rod 1. In particular, the rear strip is intended to surround the heel portion of the stem.
