Abstract
Description
Claims (19)
- A method for providing a service in a service providing device, comprising:receiving, from a terminal, information about a wireless transmitter/receiver whose vicinity the terminal is located within;determining a differentiated service to be provided to the terminal according to the received information about the wireless transmitter/receiver; andproviding the determined differentiated service to the terminal.
- The service providing method of claim 1, wherein determining the differentiated service comprises:determining a distance between the terminal and the wireless transmitter/receiver based on the information about the wireless transmitter/receiver; anddetermining the differentiated service according to the determined distance.
- The service providing method of claim 1, wherein the information corresponding to the wireless transmitter/receiver includes a signal intensity of a signal that the terminal has received from the wireless transmitter/receiver.
- The service providing method of claim 2, wherein the information corresponding to the wireless transmitter/receiver further includes information uniquely identifying the wireless transmitter/receiver, andwherein determining the differentiated service comprises determining the differentiated service according to the unique information of the wireless transmitter/receiver and a signal intensity of a signal that the terminal has received from the wireless transmitter/receiver.
- The service providing method of claim 4, wherein the wireless transmitter/receiver is an Access Point (AP).
- The service providing method of claim 5, wherein information uniquely identifying the transmitter/receiver includes at least one of a Service Set IDentifier (SSID) and a Media Access Control (MAC) address.
- The service providing method of claim 1, further comprising:receiving, from the terminal, information uniquely identifying the terminal; andstoring the information uniquely identifying the terminal,wherein providing the determined differentiated service to the terminal comprises providing the determined differentiated service to the terminal according to the information uniquely identifying the terminal.
- The service providing method of claim 1, wherein providing the determined differentiated service to the terminal comprises providing the service to the terminal via the wireless transmitter/receiver.
- The service providing method of claim 1, wherein the determined differentiated service is at least one of content and a service Uniform Resource Locator (URL).
- A service providing apparatus, comprising:a communication unit for receiving, from a terminal, information corresponding to a wireless transmitter/receiver whose vicinity the terminal is located within; anda control unit for determining a differentiated service to be provided to the terminal according to the received information about the wireless transmitter/receiver and providing the service to the terminal.
- The service providing apparatus of claim 10, wherein the control unit determines a distance between the terminal and the wireless transmitter/receiver based on the received information corresponding to the wireless transmitter/receiver, and determines the differentiated service according to the determined distance.
- The service providing apparatus of claim 10, wherein the information corresponding to the wireless transmitter/receiver includes a signal intensity of a signal that the terminal has received from the wireless transmitter/receiver.
- The service providing apparatus of claim 11, wherein the information about the wireless transmitter/receiver further includes information uniquely identifying the wireless transmitter/receiver, andwherein the control unit determines the differentiated service according to the information uniquely identifying the wireless transmitter/receiver and a signal intensity of a signal that the terminal has received from the wireless transmitter/receiver.
- The service providing apparatus of claim 13, wherein the wireless transmitter/receiver is an Access Point (AP).
- The service providing apparatus of claim 14, wherein the information uniquely identifying the transmitter/receiver includes at least one of a Service Set IDentifier (SSID) and a Media Access Control (MAC) address.
- The service providing apparatus of claim 10, further comprising a storage unit for storing information uniquely identifying the terminal received from the terminal,wherein the control unit provides the determined differentiated service to the terminal according to the information uniquely identifying the terminal.
- The service providing apparatus of claim 10, wherein the control unit provides the service to the terminal via the wireless transmitter/receiver.
- The service providing apparatus of claim 10, wherein the determined differentiated service includes at least one of a content and a service Uniform Resource Locator (URL).
- A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium having embodied thereon a program for executing a service providing method, the method comprising:receiving, from a terminal, information corresponding to a wireless transmitter/receiver whose vicinity the terminal is located within;determining a differentiated service to be provided to the terminal according to the received information corresponding to the wireless transmitter/receiver; andproviding the determined differentiated service to the terminal.
