"DISPOSITIVO ELETROMECÂNICO PARA PREVENÇÃO DE ACIDENTES EM ELEVADOR"  "ELECTROMECHANICAL DEVICE FOR LIFT ACCIDENT PREVENTION"
O presente pedido de patente de invenção diz respeito a dispositivo eletromecânico destinado a prevenção de acidentes em elevadores, assim foi desenvolvido para proporcionar maior segurança ao usuário ao utilizar elevadores.  The present patent application concerns an electromechanical device for the prevention of elevator accidents, thus it was developed to provide greater safety to the user when using elevators.
Conforme é do conhecimento da técnica, a maioria dos acidentes em elevadores ocorre quando os mesmos estão em funcionamento normal ou em manutenção. Praticamente, são três os tipos usuais de acidentes com elevador: a) Queda no poço do elevador. Ocorre quando a porta de acesso ao poço do elevador é deixada aberta, ou se abre sem o elevador estar no pavimento e a pessoa desatenta avança pensando estar entrando na cabine. Esse tipo de acidente não é comum e sempre causa sequelas graves ou morte; b) A cabine se movimentar indevidamente quando o técnico está fazendo manutenção, ou qualquer pessoa está dentro do poço, limpando ou fazendo qualquer outro serviço. Nesses casos quem está no poço é imprensado pela cabine, pois dentro do poço a pessoa não tem meios de parar o elevador; c) Por falta de energia, ou defeito momentâneo, o elevador para entre dois andares e, quando as pessoas estão sendo retiradas da cabine, volta a funcionar. Tendo em vista tais problemas e com o propósito de solucioná-los, foi desenvolvido o "DISPOSITIVO ELETROMECÂNICO PARA PREVENÇÃO DE ACIDENTES EM ELEVADOR", objeto do presente pedido de patente, que compreende, basicamente, numa rede de proteção interligada a um elemento eletromecânico do tipo acionador emergencial de segurança capaz de cortar a corrente elétrica de um elevador parando-o instantaneamente a fim de evitar acidentes ou perdas de vidas.
