Abstract
Embodiments of the invention generally relate to wind power plants, and particularly to controllers and control algorithms for wind power plants incorporating an energy storage system. A controller (330) may periodically retrieve wind forecast and energy price forecast data and cause the energy storage system (320) to be charged or discharged based on the forecast data in a manner that increases revenue and reduces cost for the wind power plant operator.
