Description

DESCRIPTION
USEFUL AND SAFE PEDESTRIAN OVERCROSSING AREA AND BUILDING METHOD
OF THE SAID AREA
THE RELATED ART
The present invention relates to improvement of overcrossing areas, which are neglected, inadequate for pedestrian density, create visual pollution, and generally not used since people are slothful. The invention is built and used on highways.
The invention particularly relates to an overpass, which occupies less area by being built on highways occupying a great area on ground plane, comprises social areas encouraging pedestrian overcrossing, and provides facility for pedestrians to do shopping and spend time within the green natural environment.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
As known, overpasses are the structures providing easy and safe cross over of pedestrians generally at places where traffic is busy. These structures may have different models and characteristics according to their location or way of building. For instance, they can have stairs, can be in the form of smoothly extending path, can comprise elevator, and can be completely covered, semi-open, or open. The covered ones also provide protection against conditions of the environment. For instance, in the utility model application with no TR 2008 08690, the pedestrian overpass and underpass elevator with horizontal and vertical motion is disclosed. The application with no FR 2610956 is also intended for pedestrians and discloses an overpass comprising elevator.
Some overpasses are not only used for crossing of pedestrians, but also used for putting up advertisement and announcement boards, signal lamps, traffic signs etc. German patent application with no DE 10239679 (A1) comprises a platform having holes at both sides of the overpass for mounting of boards, traffic signals, or sensors to facilitate such applications.
Another patent application with no JP 2005256599 (A) discloses reinforcement of the overpass and the stairs in order to reduce total weight and the production costs. The characteristic of the overpass disclosed in the application with no DE4433938 (A1 ) is to have a demountable structure for use in the army. In the applications with no US 2010281635 (A1 ) and US 2009007348 (A1 ), a modular overpass having 2 or more bridge segments and a connection mechanism developed for this overpass is disclosed.
However, overpasses are unfortunately far from being structures used eagerly by pedestrians especially in underdeveloped countries. Although they have all kinds of ease of use, the slothful character of people causes them to use the road instead of using the overpass, which leads to many accidents and even deaths. Therefore, overpasses, especially the ones found on so wide and busy highways, railroads, or even rivers should also serve for different purposes while facilitating overcrossing of pedestrians.
As a result of this need, a multifunctional pedestrian overcrossing area for eliminating the above said disadvantages and having a great variety of advantages against its equals would meet significant demands in the related technical field.
PURPOSE OF THE INVENTION
Main purpose of the said invention is to deal with rehandle of inadequate overpasses as an urban-environment and social fact and eliminate the drawbacks of the prior art by forming a pedestrian overcrossing area, which would be aspiringly used by pedestrians with regard to the prior system, on which pedestrians would meet their various demands, which occupies less place as a result of being built higher than ground, and which is built in the form of an environment friendly structure. Within this framework, purpose of the invention is to obtain an overpass embodiment by creating a novel pedestrian overcrossing area, which would also be used as shopping center by pedestrians passing over, meet their various basic needs such as eating, shopping, resting etc. and making them spend their time in there for the other activities instead of just passing over, and be a place to which people would especially want to go as a social platform.
The pedestrian overcrossing area which is the subject of the invention comprises wind turbines and solar cells among alternative energy sources in order to maintain its operability by using less energy. In this way, it would be possible of the mechanism .which is the subject of the invention, provide energy to the external environment together with its own energy demand and be example to around in this sense. Another purpose of the pedestrian overcrossing area, which is the subject of the invention, is to minimize the time and labour losses to be formed during building by being prefabricated of structure, be applicable to any desired place, and provide an economic structure. Another purpose of the invention is to maintain the green nature interrupted by the highway, eliminate vehicle and concrete pollution, and thus contribute to the environment-nature.
Moreover, the purpose of the pedestrian overcrossing area which is the subject of the invention is to provide 360 degrees of viewing angle on the road and the tower with the observation terraces formed on the structure. It is a significant landscaping space for resting and observing the environment by pedestrians. It can observe all around. Moreover, with a heliport to be built on this tower, it would also be possible to organize touristic tours.
In order to achieve the said purposes, the invention is a pedestrian overcrossing area configured on highways to facilitate crossing over for pedestrians, and it comprises: at least one square comprising shopping areas, at least one observation tower, at least one alternative energy source meeting the energy demand of the area, and observation terraces formed on and around the square and comprising green spaces. In a preferred application of the invention, said observation tower comprises sunshade bands and/or heliport configured at its roof.
In a preferred application of the invention, said alternative energy source comprises wind turbine and/or solar cells.
The invention is a method of building pedestrian overcrossing area configured on highways to facilitate crossing over for pedestrians, and it is characterized in that; it comprises the operation steps of: establishment of prefabricated system, building of observation tower, placement of wind turbine and/or solar cells in order to obtain alternative energy, and placement of observation terraces comprising green spaces.
In a preferred application of the invention, the step of establishment of the prefabricated system comprises the operation steps of: erecting of columns on the highway, placement of the main beams at both two sides, and placement of the floor plates between the main beams. The structural and characteristic features of the invention and all advantages will be understood better in detailed descriptions with the figures given below and with reference to the figures. Therefore, the assessment should be made taking into account the said figures and detailed explanations.
