Definitions

  • the present specification relates to a method for allocating resources of a management device for serving a network or a device.
  • new frequencies are allocated through auctions, or the existing frequencies are recovered from existing operators and relocated to other operators, thereby allocating the limited resources.
  • next-generation communication systems are designed in the form of convergence of several networks, systems are becoming more complex, and the need for interworking is gradually increasing.
  • communication technologies and services have developed, the frequency of use of frequency resources has increased, and the problem of frequency depletion has reached a serious situation as it has occupied a certain frequency band to provide excellent communication technologies and services.
  • the frequency sharing method has been attracting attention as a solution to this problem. This is because the current frequency shortage is due to the existing partition type frequency management method, and the frequency distribution table seems to lack the frequency, but started from the viewpoint of solving the frequency shortage problem through the sharing method.
  • Cognitive radio technology refers to a system in which a communication device observes a communication environment by itself, determines and selects an operation method for optimal communication, and plans a future judgment process from previous communication experiences. In other words, it is adaptive and rational in finding unused or unused Spectrum holes (White space) among the frequency bands allocated to unlicensed bands. It is technology to use. At this time, if a primary user who has a license in the corresponding band is found, the user should immediately stop using the band or adjust the transmission power so as not to damage the main user.
  • TVWS TV White Space
  • Empty channels have different widths (or widths) except for channels used by the primary user among all TV channels. Therefore, the available system depends on the width of the empty channel. That is, if the empty space is large, a system using a wide bandwidth can be used, but if the empty space is narrow, only a system using a narrow bandwidth can be used. Therefore, the presence of free space does not mean that the channel can be used unconditionally, but the constraint that the bandwidth of the system to coexist is less than or equal to the size of the free space.
  • the Primary User uses the channel without restriction, there is a distribution of free space on the TVWS.
  • the TVBD network or device 100 using TVWS as a secondary user may use an empty channel that is not used by the primary user unless otherwise restricted.
  • a channel fragmentation phenomenon may occur in which empty channels are not concentrated in one place but are scattered in small units. Due to this phenomenon, adjacent channels are depleted, which prevents the use of channels of a wideband system that combines multiple TV channels. This may occur in broadband systems rather than narrowband systems that use only one TV channel.
  • One embodiment disclosed in the present specification is to provide a coexistence manager capable of adaptively selecting a channel in a coexistence environment between heterogeneous systems using TVWS in which channel use constraints are inherently present. That is, one embodiment disclosed herein requires a broadband system by converting a channel used by a narrowband system to another channel when the broadband system cannot use a channel because there is no empty channel continuously even though there is actually an empty channel. This is to ensure a continuous empty channel.
  • another embodiment of the present disclosure provides a technique for selecting a channel to switch and a criterion for selecting a target to switch the channel in implementing the adaptive channel selection scheme.
  • a method for allocating a resource of a management device includes: receiving a channel allocation request from a first network or a device; If there is no channel assignable to the first network or device, determining a second network or device to switch a use channel based on a channel gain of each of the networks or devices; Switching a use channel of the second network or device to another channel and increasing a priority; And assigning a use channel of the second network or device to the first network or device.
  • channel switching efficiency can be improved by preventing blocking for a broadband system, which is a problem due to channel fragmentation, and increasing the number of available channels due to a channel switching technique. It has an effect.

  • the key here is to decide which channel in the narrowband system you are using and which channel to move to. Incentive based schemes and actual channel quality based schemes for narrowband users and narrowband channels that are subject to channel switching may be presented.
  • An incentive-based method for channel selection is a method that enables channel selection in a voluntary manner rather than by a centrally determined rule by motivating systems using existing channels to move to other empty channels. Incentives should be given to narrowband systems for channel movement. First, each narrowband system must suspend transmission while moving its active channel. You have to compensate for this because you lose money until you start transmitting again. Second, the system that occupies the channel has a high probability of selecting and using the channel in favor of itself. In this situation, the channel switchover must be compensated because it yields a part of its own profit for the benefit of other users and the whole. Motivation based on such incentives requires smooth channel selection and switching in coexistence system user-oriented operations.
  • Incentive-based channel selection and switching can be controlled by allocating and controlling a certain amount of credit for each user. Initially, the coexistence system distributes the same amount of credit for each user. In the first slot The first user's credit Assume that At this time, if the user becomes the target of channel switching, the channel being used is emptied and moved to another channel, the credit of the user is increased by one unit. This process can be represented by Equation 1 below.

In other words, if there are more users than the number of available free channels or there is competition among users to use a better channel, a user with a high credit will be given a right to use or select a channel.

  • the method based on channel quality enables channel access of the broadband system by inducing channel switching by switching to a channel having a channel quality more favorable to an individual user. By shifting the channel to a better channel for the user who switches the channel, it can compensate for the communication disconnection during the channel switching, so that it can be motivated like the incentive-based method.
  • Channel selection and switching based on channel quality is the user whose channel gain is the largest after channel switching compared to the channel gain currently used by each user. And the channel to use when You will go through the process of finding. This is represented by the following equation (3).

Description

이하, 단말이라는 용어가 사용되나, 상기 단말은 UE(User Equipment), ME(Mobile Equipment), MS(Mobile Station), UT(User Terminal), SS(Subscriber Station), MSS(Mobile Subscriber Station), 무선기기(Wireless Device), 휴대기기(Handheld Device), AT(Access Terminal)로 불릴 수 있다.
IEEE 802.11 wireless local area network (WLAN) 표준은 2.4. GHz or 5 GHz 에서 비인가 대역(unlicensed band) 을 이용한 11 Mbps (IEEE 802.11b), 54 Mbps (IEEE 802.11a) 의 전송 속도를 제공한다.
IEEE 802.11g 는 2.4 GHz 에서 OFDM(Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing)을 적용하여, 54 Mbps 의 전송 속도를 제공한다.

제안된 시스템 구조에 따르면 802.19 시스템은 CDIS/CDB(400), CM(300), 그리고 CE(200)를 포함하며, CDIS/CDB(400)는 외부의 TVDB(TV White Space Database; 600)와 연결되어 있고 CE(200) 역시 외부의 TVBN(TV Band Network)과 연결되어 있다.
TVBN의 예로는 IEEE 802.22 WRAN(Wireless Regional Area Network), IEEE 802.11af(Wireless Local Area Network), IEEE 802.15, IEEE 802.16계열 등이 있다.

Figure PCTKR2011008792-appb-I000003
Figure PCTKR2011008792-appb-M000001
