Abstract

A military vehicle housing (2) for accommodating individuals, with a roof element (2.1 - 2.3) in which a hatch (5) is arranged. On both sides of the vertical longitudinal centre plane (L) of the vehicle housing (2), at least one viewing appliance (4), which is directed outwards transversely with respect to the longitudinal centre plane, and at least one defence hatch (5), which is oriented transversely with respect to the longitudinal centre plane, are arranged in the roof element. The roof element can have a substantially horizontally oriented centre section (2.1) and roof slopes (2.3) sloping outwards to the side walls (2.2). The outwardly directed viewing appliance (4) can be arranged in the transition region between the central section (2.1) and roof slope (2.3), and/or at least one defence hatch (5) can be arranged in the roof slope (2.3).
