Abstract

A wind power installation is described having a flow channel (2) between two channel walls (8), at least one of which forms an outer wall of a structure (1), and having axial‑flow wind turbines (3) which are borne within the flow channel (2) and are distributed over the height of the flow channel (2). In order to ensure advantageous flow conditions in the flow channel (2), it is proposed that a guide device (11) having guide walls (12) which are opposite one another with respect to the flow channel (2) and each of which can pivot in its own right be mounted in front of the individual wind turbines (3) in the incident‑flow direction (18), which guide walls (12) are mounted such that they can pivot on the associated channel wall (8) in the area of the end face (13) thereof which is remote from the wind turbine (3), and can be moved at least in steps between an initial position, which runs substantially in the direction of the associated channel wall (8), and a final position, pivoted with respect to one another and closing the flow channel (2).
