Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système de portes et fenêtres antisismiques. Cette invention se compose d'un châssis principal, d'une pluralité de piliers, d'une poutre support et d'un amortisseur. Le châssis principal comporte deux montants verticaux qui sont écartés les uns des autres et sont parallèles entre eux, une traverse supérieure et une traverse inférieure, ces traverses étant assemblées aux extrémités supérieures et inférieures des montants verticaux. Les piliers de la pluralité de piliers, qui sont écartés des montants verticaux, sont disposés côte à côte de ceux-ci. La poutre support, qui est fixée aux extrémités des piliers, est disposée à l'horizontale, ses deux extrémités étant écartées des montants verticaux. L'amortisseur est monté entre la poutre support et la traverse supérieure, ou entre la poutre et la traverse inférieure. Il reçoit une charge horizontale s'appliquant depuis l'extérieur, et réagit par déformation plastique à une charge horizontale supérieure à la charge horizontale maximale admise. Le système de portes et fenêtres antisismiques de l'invention réagit par déformation plastique à la charge horizontale. En particulier, pendant la déformation plastique, la contrainte augmente de façon constante et continue. L'hystérésis stable affectant la déformation plastique permet ainsi de préserver la stabilité du système de portes et fenêtres jusqu'au moment précédant immédiatement la rupture.
