Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft ionensensitive Sensorelemente, mit denen eine Bestimmung der Anteile von in einer Umgebung oder einem Messmedium enthaltenen Ionen, wie z.B. Ionen von Wasserstoff, Natrium, Silber, Ammonium erreicht werden kann. Die Erfindung ist insbesondere für die Bestimmung des pH-Wertes geeignet. An einem erfindungsgemäßen Sensorelement sind mindestens eine ionenselektive Elektrode und mindestens eine Referenzelektrode an einem Substrat angeordnet. Die ionenselektive Elektrode (n) und die Referenzelektrode (n) sind mit elektrischen Leiterbahnen elektrisch leitend mit an der Oberfläche des Substrats angeordneten Kontaktelementen verbunden und die ionenselektive (n) Elektrode (n) ist/sind mit mindestens einer an eine elektrische Leiterbahn angeschlossenen metallischen Fläche, die in Richtung der Messumgebung mit einer ionenselektiven Membran überdeckt ist/sind, gebildet. Das Substrat ist aus einem keramischen Werkstoff gebildet, von dem die elektrischen Leiterbahnen an die die ionenselektive (n) Elektrode (n) und die Referenzelektrode (n) angeschlossen und mit Kontaktelementen elektrisch leitend verbunden sind, vollständig umschlossen sind.
