Abstract

A method and system for processing a Circuit Switched Fallback (CSFB) service, a Mobility Management Entity (MME) and a User Equipment (UE) are disclosed in the present invention. The method includes that: the MME receives a first message transmitted from a Mobile Switching Center (MSC); and if the first message includes indication information that the UE is disconnected in a Circuit Switched (CS) domain, or the first message indicates the MME to resume packet bearer procedure, then the packet bearer procedure is resumed, wherein, the first message indicating the MME to resume the packet bearer procedure is transmitted when the MSC determines that the UE is disconnected in the CS domain. With the embodiments in the present invention, the signaling cost can be saved, the effect of Idle-mode Signaling Reduction (ISR) mechanism can be guaranteed, and the network resources can be saved.
