Abstract
본 발명은 전혈 샘플(whole blood sample) 내의 목표 분석물(analyte)을 정량 또는 정성적으로 측정하는 측방 유동 면역 분석 디바이스(lateral flow immunoassay device)를 제공한다. 이 디바이스는 샘플 수용 패드(sample receiving pad), 접합체 패드(conjugate pad), 흐름 지연 패드(flow delaying pad) 및 위킹 멤브레인(wicking membrane)을 측 방향으로 이 순서대로 포함하고 있다. 상기 샘플 수용 패드는 전혈 샘플을 수용하여 이 전혈 샘플로부터 적혈구(red blood cell)를 분리하며, 이로써 상기 적혈구의 흐름을 차단한다. 특히, 상기 샘플 수용 패드, 상기 접합체 패드 및 상기 흐름 지연 패드의 평균 기공 크기를 각기 P1, P2 및 P3라고 할 때에, P1 > P2 > P3의 관계가 성립된다.
