Abstract

The invention relates to an apparatus for monitoring the power consumed by users connected to a distribution transformer, formed by: current intensity and voltage meters connected to each power supply line of each user; a processor connected to the aforementioned meters in order to calculate data relating to the power consumption and load level of each user; a communication interface connected to the processor in order to transmit said data to a central control node and to receive therefrom commands for the processor; an impedance converter connected to a low-voltage tap of the transformer; and a switch in each meter, connected to each power supply line, to the low-voltage taps and to the impedance converter. According to the invention, the processor is connected to the switches in order to command same to switch the power supply line of any user exceeding the consumption or load thresholds of the low-voltage taps to the impedance converter or vice versa.
