Abstract

The invention relates to a protective apparatus (100) for the head of a user, characterized in that the protective apparatus in particular comprises: an element (101) essentially made of a fabric and forming a bandana; a safety element (102) provided in a shock-absorbing material and glued onto the bandana element (101), said safety element (102) being capable of absorbing a shock at least at an upper portion of the head (300) of the user when said fabric bandana element is placed in a use position.

Description

 Protective equipment of the bandana type. TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION

 The present invention relates to bandana type protective equipment. The object of the invention is essentially to provide a bandana-type element which, when worn on the head, is able to provide protection against shock to its user.

 The field of the invention is, in general, that of the protective equipment used essentially for various sports activities, for example the bicycle or the roller, and more particularly that of the protection elements for the head.

 BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

 In this field, helmets are mainly used, which consist in particular of a rigid structure disposed around the cranial box, which is most often maintained by a strap that passes under the chin. If such means of protection are quite effective, the fact remains that they are bulky, they have a significant weight, and the size of a given helmet is not suitable for all forms and skull sizes. Moreover, they do not often have a satisfactory aesthetic character with respect to the expectations of potential users. For all these reasons, potential users may have a tendency to abandon protective elements that are very useful.

 GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In this context, the object of the invention is in particular to provide head protection equipment that responds to the problems and disadvantages just mentioned. For this purpose, it proposes, according to the invention, a new protective equipment for the head of users, said new protective equipment being compact, thus facilitating its transport and thus encouraging a secure practice of certain sports. The protective equipment according to the invention is based on a bandana-type element which is added reinforcing elements ensuring the protection of the head of the user. Thus, the protective equipment, besides the fact that it is compact, has a significant aesthetic appearance, aesthetic aspect which encourages even more the use of the equipment of protection considered. The flexible nature of the bandana is advantageously preserved in the protective equipment according to the invention, which allows adaptation to various sizes and shapes of skull.

 The invention therefore essentially relates to protective equipment for the head of a user characterized in that said protection element comprises in particular:

 an element, essentially made of fabric, forming a bandana;

 a security element made of a shock absorbing material, fixed on the bandana element, said security element being capable of absorbing an impact at least at the level of an upper part of the user's head when said element bandana type is placed in a position of use

 The protective equipment according to the invention may comprise, in addition to the main characteristics which have just been mentioned in the preceding paragraph, one or more additional characteristics among the following:

 the security element is glued to the fabric element;

 the security element is glued on a single side of the bandana element;

 the security element is composed of a plurality of elementary blocks, the different elementary blocks being separated by interstices;

 the elementary blocks forming the security element are glued to a cotton piece, said cotton piece being glued to the bandana fabric element;

 - the protective equipment has a net at least partially covering the security element;

 - The net is sewn on the element essentially bandana fabric;

 - The seams are arranged at the interstices and / or the contour of the security element;

 the protective equipment comprises a contour strip disposed around the net;

- the contour strip is sewn on the bandana element. The various additional features of the protective equipment according to the invention, insofar as they are not mutually exclusive, are combined according to all the possibilities of association to lead to different embodiments of the protective equipment.

 The invention and its various applications will be better understood by reading the following description and examining the figures that accompany it.

 BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES

 These are presented only as an indication and in no way limitative of the invention. The figures show:

 - In Figure 1, an exploded view of an example of protective equipment according to the invention;

 - In Figure 2, a schematic representation of an example of protective equipment according to the invention once made;

 - In Figure 3, a schematic representation of the use of an example of protective equipment according to the invention.

 DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS OF

THE INVENTION

 FIGS. 1 and 2 show a first exemplary embodiment of a protection device 100 according to the invention, respectively in a configuration where the various elements constituting the equipment 100 are about to be assembled, and in a configuration where said elements are assembled to form protective equipment ready for use.

 In these figures, the protection element comprises in particular:

an element 101 essentially made of bandana fabric. In general, a bandana is a piece essentially made of fabric, most often triangular, quadrangular or penta-angular - as in the example shown - which is intended to be tied on the head or around the neck ; the protective equipment 100 according to the invention is intended to be tied to the head of a user 300, as shown in Figure 3, where the protective equipment according to the invention is placed on the user in a position use. However, in alternative embodiments, it is possible to provide a fastening strap 301 which passes under the chin of the user. The element 101 is advantageously made of cotton, for example up to 90%, and elastane, for example up to 10%; elastane is better known by its Anglo-Saxon name "spandex", or "lycra" (registered trademark), which is a synthetic fiber known for its elasticity and robustness.

 a security element 102; the security element is a flexible element that can be deformed under mechanical stress. According to the invention, it is disposed on the element 101, advantageously on only one of these faces, preferably the face which is not in contact with the skull of the user. The security element 102 is associated with the element 101 forming bandana for example by a bonding operation, and in particular by heat-sealing. The security element 102 is disposed on the element 101 so that it protects at least the top of the head of the user 300. The shape of the security element 102, once it has fulfills its protective function for at least the top of the user's head, can be defined by aesthetic considerations specific to each manufacturer.

In an advantageous embodiment, the security element 102 is made of polyurethane; it may for example consist of a plurality of juxtaposed elementary blocks 103, of variable shape, which have between them a gap 104. Such an embodiment makes it possible in particular to increase the flexibility of the assembly constituted by the element forming bandana 101 and the security element 102. Advantageously, the security element 102 is thin, with a thickness typically between 3 and 8 millimeters, including 6 millimeters. In order to facilitate their arrangement on the element 101 forming a bandana, the various elementary blocks 104 are first glued to a cotton piece, not shown, which is itself glued to the element 101 forming a bandana.

advantageously, a net 105; the thread 105 is intended to cover the security element 102. It is for example made of a material of the type 3D AirMesh (registered trademark). It is for example sewn on the element 101 forming bandana, the stitches being placed at the interstices 104, which makes it possible to bring out the elementary blocks 103, and / or the contour of the security element 102. filet 105 could, instead of being sewn, be attached to the element 101 by any type of existing connection, for example by being glued. The net 105, beyond the appearance aesthetic it confers, strengthens the maintenance of the security element 102, while allowing good ventilation of the protective equipment by letting the air through its mesh.

 - Advantageously, again, a strip 106, sewn around the net 105, which participates in maintaining the various elements mentioned above. It is for example entirely made of synthetic fabric. It also participates in the aesthetic aspect of the protective equipment.
