Abstract

The present invention relates to a variety of methods and apparatuses for transmitting acknowledgement signals (for example, ACK/NACK signals) in a wireless access system. According to the first embodiment of the present invention, a method for transmitting ACK/NACK (ACKnowledgement/Non-ACK) information in a wireless access system comprises the steps of: selecting a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) for transmitting ACK/NACK information from among one or more PUCCHs mapped to a first information subspace (e.g., information subspace P); mapping a second information subspace (e.g., information subspace Q) to a control symbol for transmitting ACK/NACK information contained in the selected PUCCH; and mapping ACK/NACK information to the selected PUCCH, and transmitting the ACK/NACK information to a base station. Here, the ACK/NACK information can be mapped to the first information subspace and to the second information subspace, respectively, in accordance with the reliability of the ACK/NACK information.
