Abstract

Mechanism for rapidly changing the bearing of a strut, which comprises: individual identical thrust half-bushes arranged so as to face one another and which together clasp the tail shaft on one of the sides of the strut and each define half-heads that face one another in the conjunction of said thrust half-bushes; a centring bush arranged so as to clasp a new bearing, inserted on the tail shaft on the side opposite the strut; individual clamps arranged on the bow side and on the stern side of the strut, clasping, respectively, said half-heads of the thrust half-bushes and the centring bush; identical individual threaded studs in one of said clamps and in nuts that rotate freely in the other clamp; and means for rotating said nuts in the appropriate direction to generate forward movement of the studs and the consequent approach of the clamps such that the thrust half-bushes axially push the bearing of the strut for extraction thereof.
