Abstract
La presente invención consiste en un reflector de revolución que presenta una superficie interna con una estructura constituida por facetas dispuestas según una distribución basada en el número Phi, lo que proporciona una estructura de facetas no regular (no ordenada), sin alineamiento radial ni simetría de revolución. Ello mejora la uniformidad de la luz proyectada, puesto que aumenta la destrucción de la imagen de la fuente de luz y reduce la imagen de la propia estructura facetada.
Description
REFLECTOR DE REVOLUCIÓN CON ESTRUCTURA FACETADA BASADA EN
EL NÚMERO ÁUREO
La presente invención consiste en un reflector de revolución para iluminación que presenta una superficie interna con una estructura constituida por facetas dispuestas según una distribución basada en el número áureo, también denominado número Phi, Φ = (1+51/2)/2 « 1.618. Esta estructura presenta una distribución de facetas no regular (no ordenada), sin alineamiento radial ni simetría de revolución, que mejora las propiedades fotométricas, proporcionando mayor uniformidad de Ia luz proyectada, libre de Ia imagen de Ia fuente de luz, y libre de sombras radiales y sombras en anillo propias de Ia estructura de facetas. ESTADO DE LA TECNOLOGÍA
Un reflector dirige de manera controlada Ia luz que es generada por una fuente luminosa, posibilitando una adecuada iluminación del objeto a iluminar - uniformidad, distribución y niveles de iluminancia-. Generalmente, los reflectores están constituidos por superficies de revolución basadas en curvas con perfil parabólico, elíptico o variantes de ellas. Sin embargo, toda fuente de luz encendida emite luz espacial y angularmente de manera no uniforme. Es decir, existen contrastes de luminancia en Ia fuente de luz que pueden repercutir negativamente en Ia distribución de Ia luz proyectada. Un reflector de revolución con un acabado superficial totalmente liso y espejado produce, probablemente, con una lámpara halógena, sombras debido a Ia imagen proyectada de Ia espira de wolframio de Ia lámpara, y, con una lámpara de descarga, el alambre que sujeta el quemador.
Existen principalmente dos estrategias que evitan este fenómeno y proporcionan un patrón de luminancia uniforme, libre de imágenes y sombras. La primera es utilizar una superficie que no tenga reflexión completamente especular, es decir, una superficie reflexiva con una componente difusa -superficie mate o semimate-. Por consiguiente, Ia superficie del reflector no actúa como un espejo y no se forma imagen. Por contra, no hay un control óptimo de Ia orientación de Ia luz ni de Ia distribución de intensidad. Además, Ia eficiencia del sistema suele ser menor debido a que es incrementado el número de reflexiones en el reflector.
Otro método que permite Ia destrucción de Ia imagen de Ia fuente de luz, usado en Ia mayor parte de los reflectores actuales de altas prestaciones, consiste en conferir en Ia superficie del reflector una. estructura regular constituida por facetas

dispuesta según una distribución ordenada. Existen varios tipos de ordenamiento de estas facetas. En Ia Figura 1a, 1b y 1c ilustramos las distribuciones típicas. Cada punto representa Ia posición de Ia faceta en una vista de un plano perpendicular al eje de revolución del reflector. La Figura 1a muestra una distribución típica con un alineamiento radial de facetas que constituyen anillos distintos. En Ia Figura 1b existe un desfase angular entre facetas de anillos distintos, mientras que en Ia Figura 1 c se obtiene un alineamiento radial de facetas entre anillos vecinos de sus vecinos -desfase angular igual a Ia mitad del periodo angular -.
Estas distribuciones de facetas permiten Ia destrucción de Ia imagen de Ia fuente luminosa y un control de Ia distribución de luz. Sin embargo, Ia propia estructura facetada regular puede provocar sombras como resultado de Ia superposición de Ia imagen que forma cada faceta. En particular, estas estructuras son susceptibles a presentar
• sombras radiales, debido a que todas estas estructuras tienen un alineamiento u ordenación radial de facetas,
• y/o sombras en anillo, debido a que todas las estructuras tienen una simetría de revolución con respecto al eje de revolución del reflector.
OBJETO DE LA INVENCIÓN
La presente invención consiste en un reflector de revolución que presenta una superficie interna con una estructura constituida por facetas dispuestas según una distribución basada en el número áureo (Figura 1d), también denominado número
Phi, Φ = (1+51/2)/2 s 1 618, que presenta una distribución de facetas no regular (no ordenada), sin alineamiento radial ni simetría de revolución. Como consecuencia, aumenta Ia destrucción de Ia imagen de Ia fuente luminosa y reduce Ia imagen de
Ia propia estructura facetada, proporcionando un patrón luminoso libre de sombras radiales (estrías) y sombras en anillo. Por ello, mejora Ia uniformidad de Ia luz proyectada.
VENTAJAS DE LA INVENCIÓN
A continuación señalamos las ventajas de Ia presente invención, siendo éstas meramente enunciativas y no limitativas de Ia misma:
• Mayor grado de destrucción de Ia imagen de Ia fuente de luz, puesto que con Ia estructura facetada propia de Ia invención no se presentan planos o

direcciones preferentes de Ia luz proyectada. Con ello, el desorden en Ia disposición de las facetas proporciona una alta destrucción de Ia imagen formada.
• Reducción de aparición de sombras radiales en el patrón de luminancia de Ia luz proyectada propias de Ia estructura facetada del reflector, dado que tal estructura no presenta alineamiento radial.
• Reducción de Ia aparición de sombras en anillo en el patrón de luminancia propias de Ia estructura facetada del reflector, dado que tal estructura no presenta simetría de revolución.
DESCRIPCIÓN DE LOS DISEÑOS
Para una mejor comprensión de Ia presente memoria se acompañan los dibujos adjuntos que muestran ejemplos de realización, no limitativo, del objeto de Ia invención y en los que:

DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA INVENCIÓN
La presente invención consiste en un reflector de revolución que presenta una superficie interna con una estructura constituida por facetas dispuestas según una distribución basada en el Número Áureo (Figura 1d), que presenta una disposición de facetas no regular (no ordenada), sin alineamiento radial ni simetría de revolución. Como consecuencia, ofrece un mayor grado de destrucción de Ia imagen de Ia fuente, puesto que Ia estructura no presenta planos o direcciones preferentes al ser una disposición de facetas no ordenada, y reduce Ia imagen de Ia propia estructura facetada proporcionando un patrón luminoso libre de sombras radiales y sombras en anillo. Por ello, presenta una mayor uniformidad de Ia luz proyectada.

Sea P Ia superficie con simetría de revolución respecto al eje z resultante de Ia revolución de Ia curva perfil P(r) correspondiente al reflector. Por otro lado, sea S¡ una superficie tal que es tangente a Ia superficie P en el punto P1. En Ia Figura 2 se representan las superficies P y S¡.
El conjunto de superficies {S¡}, = 1p , N que determinan Ia distribución de facetas en Ia parte interna del reflector propio de Ia invención, son tangentes a Ia superficie P, con punto de tangencia en el punto P, ≡ (r, eos Φ,, r, sen Φ „ P(r,)), y satisfacen que Φ l+1 = Φ , + φ^ y rl+1 > r,, para i = 1 , ..., N-1 , siendo N el número de superficies que constituye Ia estructura facetada, Φ* el Ángulo Áureo ≡ 2π-(2 π/ Φ -2,4 radianes = 137,50 grados, y Φ el Número Áureo, Φ ≡ (1+51/2)/2 = 1.618. La anterior condición queda ilustrada en Ia Figura 3.
DESCRIPCIÓN DE UNA REALIZACIÓN PARTICULAR
Para una mejor comprensión del objeto de Ia invención, a continuación se detalla Ia descripción y el proceso de generación de una realización particular para el caso de una estructura facetada compuesta por superficies esféricas. En primer lugar, es definida Ia curva perfil P(r) (Figura 4). Posteriormente, son posicionadas superficies esféricas {E,}¡ = r , N a Io largo de Ia curva perfil P(r), tangentes a ésta (Figura 5). Cada esfera E, es girada i veces el Ángulo Áureo Φ* respecto al eje z del reflector (Figura 6). De esta forma es obtenida Ia estructura interna del reflector característico de Ia invención (Figura 7). Para obtener el reflector final es necesario realizar un corte de revolución a fin de generar una superficie lisa en las superficies externas del reflector (Figura 8).
El caso particular de un reflector con estructura facetada propia de Ia invención constituida por planos es un caso límite que se obtiene cuando los radios de las esferas E1 tienden a infinito.
