Abstract

An improved packaging apparatus comprises a slide (100) that can reciprocate in a translation direction (90) and a welding head with two opposite jaws (1, 2). Each Jaw has a jaw support (3) with a welding element (5) that is adapted to move on a closed trajectory, in order to achieve in a portion of the trajectory the wrapper (6) and to carry out the welding and cutting steps. In addition, each jaw support (3) comprises a welding part (51) that is adapted to melt a portion of the wrapper (6) in order to weld it, and a first (11) and a second (12) laminas that are associated to each jaw support (3). The movement between a wedge- like position (B) and a spread apart position (A) of the first lamina (11) is guided, for a part of the closed trajectory, by a first fixed cam (60) on which a first shaped arm (20) slides integral to the first lamina (11). In parallel, the movement between a wedge-like position and a spread apart position of the second laminas (12) is guided, for a part of the closed trajectory, by a second cam (70) on which a second shaped arm (10) slides that is integral to the second lamina (12). This way, the time and the efficiency of the production line are optimized.
