- step S212 the control proceeds to step S212, and other types of “programs to be viewed”. It is determined whether or not there is.
- the server search instruction unit 141 instructs the forgotten program distribution system 102 to search for the presence or absence of “forgotten program” via the communication unit 140. (S206). That is, the server search instruction unit 141 instructs the forgotten-to-view program distribution system 102 to search whether or not the “forget-to-view program” of the second episode of the serial drama A1 is stored in the storage unit 103. Then, the search unit 104 searches the storage unit 103, and checks whether or not the “forgotten program” exists in the broadcast station 100 forgotten program distribution system 102 (S207).
- the server search instruction unit 141 notifies the forgotten information management unit 143 that the “forgotten program” exists.
- the history management unit 142 in the history management unit 142 checks whether there is a “forgotten program” for the serial drama A1. (S217).
- step 212 the forgotten-to-view program determination unit 148 determines whether or not there is another type of “program to watch”. Even for a program whose presence in the storage unit 103 has been checked once, a program forgotten to be seen at a later date may be registered in the delivery server of the forgotten program delivery system 102 of the broadcast station 100. May be.
- the “related program” is specified by the related program specifying unit 153 in accordance with a predetermined rule in step S208.
- the second episode of the two-channel continuous drama A1 is specified as a “forgotten program”, but the program after the next episode of the second episode (or all the specified continuous dramas) is “ “Related program” of “forgotten program”.
- the predetermined rule in this case is a rule that “all programs belonging to the“ program to be watched ”group to which the“ forgotten program ”belongs are specified as“ related programs ”of the“ forgotten program ”.
- a predetermined series drama is specified as “a program to be watched” as described above, each episode program (or all the predetermined series dramas) after the forgotten X episode is forgotten. It will be specified as a “related program” related to the talk program. Or, if the Giant Hanshin Battle is specified as the “program you want to watch”, for the Giant Hanshin Warfare program on May 1 (which was broadcast before today) that you forgot to watch, It becomes “related program”.
- step S208 When the “related program” is specified in step S208, the “related program” of the “forgotten program” is included in the EPG programs for the next two weeks managed by the program guide information management unit 132. Is checked in the related program determination unit 154 (S209). If the “related program” exists in the EPG in step S210, that fact is transmitted to the program guide display control unit 144.
- the forgotten program determination unit 148 checks for the presence of the “related program” “forgotten program” Is recorded (S217). Then, the control proceeds to step S212, and the desired program specifying unit 149 determines whether or not there is another type of “program to be viewed”. Note that “related programs” once checked may be present in an EPG distributed later, and therefore it is more preferable to check periodically.
- step S210 if there is a “related program” (here, the third episode of the serial drama A1), the program guide display control unit 144 displays “watch” in the frame of the third episode of the EPG continuous drama A1. A “forgotten” mark is displayed (S211).
- Step S208, step S209, and step S210 correspond to an example of the related program determination step of the present invention.
- step S212 the program specifying unit 149 to determine whether or not there is another type of “program to be viewed” is determined (S212). If another type of “program to watch” exists, the process returns to step S202, and whether another type of “program to watch” exists in the program in the past predetermined period. A determination is made whether or not. That is, after the process related to the serial drama A1, the process from step S202 to step S211 is performed for the professional baseball giant Hanshin game, and subsequently for the news A2 starting at 21:00 on 2ch.
- FIG. 4B shows an example EPG 310 with a “forgetting to see” mark.
- This step S213 corresponds to an example of the display step of the present invention.
- FIG. 4B shows an example in which a “forgetting to see” mark is displayed only in the third episode of the drama A1.
- the news A2 is also determined as a “program to be viewed” If there is a “viewing program”, a “forgetting to see” mark is displayed.
- the remote control receiving unit 146 receives a selection instruction from the remote control, and the program receiving device 120 accesses the storage unit 103 of the forgotten viewing program distribution system 102 via the communication unit 140. Then, when the “forgotten program” is received by the forgotten program receiver 145, the “forgotten program” is displayed on the display screen 147 (S215), and the viewing of the “forgotten program” is started (S215). .
- the program guide display control unit 144 deletes the “forgotten to see” mark 311 from the EPG.
- the program receiving apparatus 120 for example, when the user wants to watch a forgotten time in a continuous drama or the like until the next time is started. Even if you forget the presence of “forgotten program”, just watch the EPG that is often used when watching or recording TV, and by the next time (related program) as a trigger (trigger), until the next time begins, It becomes possible to make the user more aware of the presence of the “forgotten program”. In this way, the device is also very kind to the user, taking into consideration forgetting to watch a continuous program.
- the present invention is not limited to this.
- the mark position of “Forgot to watch” is displayed in the frame of the program before “Related program” on the day when “Related program” of “Forgotten program” is broadcast on the EPG.
- the “Forgotten Program” can be appropriately displayed to the user according to the date. It is possible to notify the existence of.
- FIG. 5A when the “related program” of “forgotten program” is broadcast on May 11, the mark “forgotten to see” is displayed on the previous day (in this case, in May Until the 10th), like the EPG 400, the “Forgot-to-view” mark 401 is displayed in the frame of the third episode of the series drama A1, which is the “related program” of the “forgotten program”. Then, as shown in FIG. 5B, on May 11, which is the day of the broadcast, a “previous program” mark 411 is displayed in the column of “Related Program”, here News A1, as in EPG410. Is done.
- the “Forgot-to-view” mark may be moved in hours instead of days. Specifically, the “Forgot to see” mark is displayed in the “Related Program” frame until, for example, four hours before the start of the third episode of the serial drama A1 “Related Program”. When the time until the start of broadcasting of the “related program” becomes less than 4 hours, the “Forgot to see” mark is displayed in the frame of the news A1 that is the program before the “related program”.
- server search information of the forgotten program distribution system 102 used in the server search instruction unit 141 may be registered in advance or broadcast programs from the broadcast station 100. It may be multiplexed and transmitted without any particular limitation.
- a TV is used as an example of the program receiving device 120.
- the TV may not be a TV, and may be a recording device or a PC with a broadcast receiving function, and can receive an EPG and have a communication function. There is no particular limitation as long as it is installed.
- the display content of the “Forgot-to-view” mark provided by the program guide display control unit 144 is not particularly limited.
- “Forgot-to-view: continuous drama A1 episode 2” is forgotten.
- the program may be specifically described.
- FIG. 6 is a diagram showing a configuration of a program transmission / reception system according to Embodiment 2 of the present invention.
- the program receiving apparatus 120 of the second embodiment shown in FIG. 6 is the same as the program receiving apparatus described in the first embodiment except that the forgotten watching program time management unit 501 is implemented. Description is omitted.
- This forget-to-view program time management unit 501 manages the start time of the broadcast related to the reproduction time of the “forget-to-view program”.
- FIGS. 7A and 7B are diagrams showing an example of an EPG to which a “forgetting to see” mark is attached.
- the forgotten program time management unit 501 acquires the playback time of the “forgotten program” when the forgotten information management unit 143 obtains the “forgotten program” information from the forgotten program distribution system 102. . Then, the program guide display control unit 144 displays a “forgotten program” mark on a program that is before the start of the “related program” and starts before the reproduction time of the “forgotten program”.
- the forgotten program time management unit 501 receives information from the server search instruction unit 141 that the playback time of the continuous drama A1 (second episode) is one hour. To do. Subsequently, information about 20 o'clock, which is the broadcast start time of the serial drama A1 (Third episode), which is a “related program”, is received from the program guide information management unit 132.
- the forgotten watching program time management unit 501 sends information related to the viewing start time to the program guide display control unit 144 via the forgotten viewing information management unit 143.
- the program guide display control unit 144 displays a “Forgot-to-view” mark 611 on the news A1 that is a program started from 19:00. Then, when the user selects “forgotten program” at 19:00, the user watches the second episode of the serial drama A1 that is “forgotten program” from 19:00, and then continues to the “related program”.
- the broadcast of 3 episodes can be viewed from 20:00 and can be viewed continuously.
- the program guide display control unit 144 sets the “forgotten to see” mark 611 to be a continuous drama. It is displayed in the frame of A1 (Episode 3).
- the “Forgot to see” mark is moved to the “Related Program” frame after 19:00, but it is not necessary to move it.
- the “forgetting to see” mark may be given before the broadcast of this program, instead of the program that starts at 19:00, which is continuously watched.
- a “forgotten to see” mark may be given to a program before 19:00.
- FIG. 8 is a diagram showing an EPG 700 which is an example of a case where the “Forgot to see” mark 701 is displayed on all programs scheduled to be broadcast at 19:00.
- the “Forgot to see” mark 701 is provided over the frames of a plurality of programs scheduled to be broadcast at 19:00, one hour before the “related program” is broadcast.
- the “Forgot-to-view” mark provided over a plurality of program frames may be attached to the EPG.
- FIG. 9 An example of such an EPG is shown in FIG.
- a “Forgot to see” mark 711 is displayed in the time display frame indicating 19:00.
- the method of displaying the “Forgot-to-view” mark in any frame of the time display field as described above may be applied to the program transmission / reception system of the first embodiment.
- the “Forgot to see” mark 401 shown in FIG. 5A is displayed in the frame at 20:00
- the “Forgot to see” mark 411 shown in FIG. 5B is displayed in the frame at 19:00. Good.
- the time or program for displaying the “Forgot to see” mark is completed when the “related program” can be continuously viewed, the broadcast time of the “related program”, or the broadcast starts. From an arbitrary time or information in the history management unit 142, it may be given to a time or program that a user often views or records, that is, a time when there is a high possibility of using an EPG.
- the second embodiment can be applied even when there are two or more “forgotten programs”. Specifically, for example, if the third episode is missed after the second episode of the serial drama A1, if the fourth episode starts broadcasting from 20:00, the playback time of the second episode A total of 2 hours of (1 hour) + episode 3 playback time (1 hour) is set as the playback time, and a “forgot-to-view” mark is given at 18:00 2 hours before the start of broadcasting, so that multiple forgotten programs Similar effects can be obtained even in the presence of.
- the broadcast program distribution system 101 and the forgotten program distribution system 102 have been described as being in the same broadcast station 100. May be present at any location.
- viewing according to the present invention refers to, for example, selecting a channel and receiving a program in the first and second embodiments, but the program is displayed on the display screen 147 to determine whether or not the program has been viewed. Or the display of the program may have ended.
- a program that has been received but recorded but not viewed can be treated as a “forgotten program”, which is more friendly to the user.
- the “forgotten program” when the “forgotten program” does not exist in the forgotten program distribution system 102, even if the “related program” exists in the EPG, “forgotten” is displayed. Although the mark is not displayed, the “Forgot-to-view” mark may be displayed even when the “forgotten program” does not exist in the forgotten program distribution system 102. Because even if there is no “forgotten program” in the forgotten program distribution system 102, if the user can notice that he / she has forgotten to watch it, the user will become a friend before the “related program” is broadcast. This is because it can be rented to etc.
- programs you want to watch are extracted on a daily basis, and when an EPG display request is received from the user, “unviewed” Whether or not there is a “program” is searched, “forgotten program” is identified from them, and control processing is performed in the order of searching for whether or not the “forgotten program” can be distributed by the forgotten program distribution system 102.
- the order of these processes may be appropriately changed before and after.
- a search is performed to determine whether “forgotten program” exists in the forgotten program distribution system 102.
- a search for whether or not the “desired program” exists in the storage unit 103 may be performed on a daily basis. Alternatively, a search may be performed when an EPG display instruction is issued.
- the search amount is smaller than the search for the “program you want to see”. effective.
- the process of determining the program as “forgotten program” was performed. After the “unviewed program” is extracted, a search is performed to determine whether or not there is a “program to be viewed” in the “unviewed program”, and a control process for determining the found program as a “forgotten program” is performed. In other words, it is only necessary to identify the “forgotten program”.
- FIG. 10 is a configuration diagram of a program transmission / reception system for performing control to extract an unviewed program in advance.
- the program receiving device 120 shown in FIG. 10 is provided with an unviewed program extracting unit 301 instead of the program searching unit 150 to be viewed.
- the unviewed program extracting unit 301 extracts “unviewed program” from the viewing history in a predetermined period in the past.
- FIG. 11 is a diagram showing a flow of processing executed when the program receiving apparatus 120 shown in FIG. 10 receives an EPG instruction from the user.
- the “unviewed program” in the past predetermined period is not viewed. It is extracted by the program extraction unit 301.
- the past predetermined period can be, for example, three weeks.
- the “program to be viewed” is identified by the terminal on a daily basis, but is not necessarily limited to this, and is not necessarily performed on a daily basis, either before or after the “unviewed program” extraction step. , "The program you want to watch” may be specified.
- the history management unit 142 identifies “forgotten program” from the viewing history information managed by the history storage unit 152 (S1104, S1105).
- the forgotten-to-view program determination unit 148 searches for whether or not the “program to be viewed” identified in step S106 is present in the “unviewed program” extracted in step S1103. (S1104).
- the “program to be viewed” identified in step S106 is present in the “unviewed program” extracted in step S1103.

- step S1104 when the “program to be viewed” is found in the “unviewed program”, the program is determined as the “forgotten program” in step S1105. For example, if the second episode of the serial drama A1 has not been viewed, the second episode of the serial drama A1 exists in the “unviewed program”, so “Forgotten program”.
- Steps S1104 and S1105 correspond to an example of the forget-to-view program specifying step of the present invention.
- step 1104 if “the program you want to see” is not found among the “unviewed programs”, the control proceeds to step S212, and whether or not there is another type of “program you want to see”. Is determined. For example, when there is a professional baseball giant Hanshin game as another type of “program to watch” (S212), the control returns to step S1104, and the “baseball program for professional baseball giant Hanshin” is displayed. Then, it is checked whether or not it exists in the “unviewed program”.
- control has been performed so that “unviewed programs” in “programs to be viewed” in the past predetermined period are determined as “forgotten programs”.
- control is performed so that a “program that you want to see” in “unviewed programs” in the past predetermined period is determined as a “forgotten program”.
- the program receiving apparatus having the configuration shown in FIG. 10 extracts “unviewed programs” and searches for “programs to be viewed” in the “unviewed programs”.
- the receiving apparatus searches for past “programs to watch” and searches for “unviewed programs” in the past “programs to watch”.
- the type is a continuous program such as a continuous drama, it may not be necessary to extract or search for an “unviewed program”. More specifically, for example, if there is a record of viewing the first and second episodes of a continuous drama in the viewing history, the third and subsequent episodes are specified as “programs to watch”.
- the “related program” is the remaining serial drama, it is confirmed that the fifth episode of the continuous drama exists in the EPG, and the third and fourth episodes are “forgotten programs”. Can be identified. Therefore, the “Forgot to see” mark can be added to the frame of the fifth episode of the EPG.
- the control is performed so that the “related program” is specified when the “forgotten program” exists in the storage unit 103, but the control for specifying the “related program” is performed. , It may be performed in parallel with the search (S207, S208) as to whether or not the “forgotten program” exists in the storage unit.
- FIG. 12 shows a flow chart of such control as a modification of the flow of FIG.
- the “related program” is searched in parallel with the search (S206, S207) as to whether or not the “forgotten program” is in the storage unit 103. Is specified (S1208). In the flow of FIG. 3, the “related program” may be specified in parallel with the search for “forgotten program”.
- the search unit 104 searches the storage unit 103 when the server search instruction unit 141 of the program receiving device 120 issues a search instruction to the forgotten program distribution system 102.
- the configuration may be such that the program receiving device 120 itself receives the stored information of the storage unit 103 from the forgotten program distribution system 102 and searches for the stored information.
- the server search instruction unit 141 is a search unit that searches the storage unit 103.
