     コンテンツを蓄え、要求に従ってコンテンツを提供するコンテンツサーバとネットワーク接続され、ネットワークを経由してコンテンツをダウンロードする手段と、
     通信距離が短いが高速通信が可能な無線通信手段を持つ情報端末と、前記無線通信手段にて通信を行う手段と、
     現在時刻を得る手段と、
     前記コンテンツのダウンロードに要する時間を推定する手段と、
     前記現在時刻に、前記コンテンツのダウンロードに要する推定時間を加算した時刻が、前記コンテンツの配信を受ける時刻に達した場合、前記情報端末がコンテンツ配信装置自身の持つ前記無線通信手段による通信可能範囲の外にいる場合であっても、前記コンテンツ予約時に指定されたコンテンツのダウンロード要求を前記コンテンツサーバに送る手段と、
     前記情報端末がコンテンツ配信装置自身と前記無線通信手段で接続された時に、ダウンロードされたコンテンツを前記情報端末に対して前記無線通信手段にて伝送する手段とを備えたことを特徴とするコンテンツ配信装置。
