Definitions
- PP(n) are identified via the motion estimation results and a programmable neighborhood window. These high resolution pixels are then updated according to their consistency level with the corresponding low resolution pixel of LR(n+k). The pixels in the low resolution frame LR(n) are used to adjust the pixels in the high resolution image obtained from the previous processing block, and the output is the final high resolution image SR(n), also referred to herein as the super resolved image.
- SR(n) also referred to herein as the super resolved image.
- Motion vectors may also be developed between PP(n) and a corresponding high resolution image for each one of the time slots within the processing frame window that follow LR(n), for example, PP(n+l), PP(n+2) and PP(n+3).
- PP(n+l) ... PP(n+3) are the initially estimated high resolution images corresponding to LR(n+l) ... LR(n+3) respectively.
- initial high resolution estimates of LR(n+l) ... LR(n+2) should be available when PP(n) is being processed in the motion estimation block 220.
- one may calculate the SAD corresponding to each of the following four motion vectors: MV(n+2,n+l,x,y) + MV(n+l,n,xi,yi) (i 0,l,2,3), and choose the one with the minimal SAD.
