Description

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to product identification, for example wines, cheeses and cold meats, and particularly relates to device and method for product identification.
BACKGROUND ART
Product identification devices are well known such as label printed on container of product that can be widely counterfeit. Another disadvantage of such well-known devices is that the reading information of a plurality of products requires long times.
DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION
An object of the present invention is to propose a device allowing the certification, in unique and unmodifiable way, a product such as wine or beer bottle.
Another object is to propose a device showing the product origin and disclosing the content thereof.
Further object is to propose a device which may be read by an electronic instrument and which drastically reduces the product identification time and reading time of information correlated thereto.
Another object is to propose an identification device that can be removed from the product and applied onto another support, for instance used as memo.
Another object is to propose a fast and effective anti-counterfeit identification method, for example useful for wines and guaranteed quality products. Additional object is to propose a logistic management method for the client/job association.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
The characteristics of invention are evidenced below with particular reference to the enclosed drawings in which:
Figure 1 shows an elevation view of the device object of the present invention; Figure 2 shows a sectional view of the device of figure 1.
BEST MODE OF CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
With reference to figures 1 and 2, number 1 indicates the product identification device object of the present invention.
Such device includes an identification element 2, provided with a radio-frequency means of the RF-ID type, and fixed to an adhesive layer 3.
The device includes moreover a first support 4 provided with an adhesive face 5 fit to be applied to the product, while the other face 6 is fit to match the adhesive layer 3.
The device also has a second support 7 fit to match the adhesive face 5 of the first support 4, when the device 1 is not fixed to the product.
The first 4 and second 7 supports are of silicon or silicone-coated type and faces 5 and 6 of the first support 4 have a wider surface than faces of the adhesive layer 3.
The identification element 2 has a centrally circular shape and two side strips, and the first 4 and second 7 supports have two side strips much extending than the identification element 2.
The radio-frequency means consists of a RF-ID transponder printed onto one side of the identification means 2 while on the free side of the identification element 2 are printed drawings and/or information related, for example, to product and/or manufacturer.
The RF-ID transponder includes at least a chip of HF and/or UHF type using at least one among the following protocols: HF15693, HF 14443A (NFC compatible), HF 14443B, UHF EPC Gen 2, or others.
The RF-ID radio-frequency means also includes a storage means containing at least a product information. Such information consists at least by an unmodifiable identifiable code of the product.
Moreover the storage means can contain the link to an internet address and some information modifiable by the user. The identifiable element 2 is made of paper or synthetic material.
The device working object of the present invention provides the storage, univocally inside the identification element, an information of the product to which apply such device.
Afterwards the second support 7 is removed and the device 1 is applied onto the product by using the adhesive face 5 of the first support 4.
The device can be directly applied to the product or to its container, such as a wine bottle, for example onto the bottle plug or neck.
Then, by means of a RF-ID reader it is possible to read the information memorized on the identification element for certifying the product and/or the related origin.
The reader can read from the device 1 also a link to an internet address in which further product information are indicated and by which e-commerce services can be accessed.
The device 1 can be removed from the product, by removing the identification element 2 together with adhesive layer 3, from the first support 4 for applying to another support such as a document, business card, postcard, paper support etc.. In such way the device can be used as an electronic memo allowing the client to maintain and collect the different bought and/or used devices. Moreover on the device, the client can writes information concerning his product evaluation and his particular circumstances.
The method for the identification of a product based on the device object of the present invention includes the following steps: to write, onto the identification element 2, at least an information concerning the product; to apply the device 1 to the product by means of the adhesive face 5 of the first support 4; to use a RF-ID reader for reading the information in the identification element 2 of the device 1.
In the case of a wine bottle, the device 1 must be applied to the plug or to the neck of the bottle.
The method then provides that the identification element 2 is removed, together with the adhesive layer 3, from the first support 4 and it provides its application onto another support by means of the adhesive layer 3.
Then the device can be added with additional information written by the client who bought the product onto the storage means of the identification element 2.
An advantage of the present invention is to supply a device allowing univocally and unmodifiably a product such as a beer or wine bottle.
Other advantage is to supply a device disclosing the origin and the content of a product.
Additional advantage is to supply a device readable by an electronic instrument and that can drastically reduce the product identification time and the information reading time related thereto. Another advantage is to supply an identification device that can be removed from the product and can be applied onto another support, for example to be used as memo.
Another advantage is to supply is to supply a fast and effective anti-counterfeit identification method, for example useful for wines and guaranteed quality products.
Additional advantage is to supply a logistic management method for the client/job association.
