Abstract

The invention relates to a bag (1) that comprises two substantially parallel sheets (12, 13) defining the main walls thereof, complementary closing profiles (2, 3) respectively attached to said sheets (12, 13), and a slider (5) for actuating the profiles (2, 3) upon opening or closing. The bag is characterised in that at least one of said sheets (12, 13) includes, on the outer face thereof, in the vicinity of the gripping area of the slider (5) and parallel to the movement direction of the latter, a strip-shaped bead defining a build-up having a thickness and a width sufficient for locally modifying the deformability thereof.

BAG COMPRISING ACTUAL CLOSURE PROFILES

The present invention relates to the field of sachets comprising complementary closure profiles actuated respectively on opening and closing by a cursor.

These sachets have already rendered great services. Indeed, the sliders facilitate the opening and closing of the bags, so that their presence is highly appreciated by the elderly or visually impaired.

These bags comprise two generally parallel sheets forming its main walls, complementary closure profiles fixed on these sheets, and a slider for actuating the profiles on closing and opening.

The cursor has a cross-section in the form of an inverted "U", its two parallel flanks coming from both sides of the aforementioned sheets, facing the profiles.

For the setting up of cursors on such bags, automated machines are used.

To summarize, a set of contiguous bags, linked to each other, scrolls step by step in front of a machine regularly fed sliders. Each time a bag is immobilized in front of the machine, means proceed to the installation of a cursor, by translation in the direction of the bag.

Means come to bear on the sheets of the bag, to ensure perfect immobilization of the bag during installation.

However, these sheets generally have the particularity of being extremely deformable, so that despite the support of said means, there is a relative displacement of the sheet.

The main object of the present invention is to overcome this difficulty, by providing a pouch structure with which automated cursor laying is facilitated.

A secondary object of the invention is to provide a bag which, moreover, has a high seal.

The invention relates to a sachet comprising: - two generally parallel leaves forming its main walls;

- Complementary closure profiles respectively fixed on these sheets; a slider for actuating the profiles at closing and opening,

According to the invention, at least one of said sheets has, on its outer face, close to the zone of grip of said cursor and parallel to the direction of movement of the latter, a strip-shaped bead constituting an extra thickness and width sufficient to locally modify the deformability.

According to other advantageous but non-limiting characteristics:

said strip-shaped bead is able to locally increase the rigidity thereof;

said bead has a width of between 5 and 15 millimeters and a thickness of between 100 and 1000 microns;

said bead is also an abutment means capable of immobilizing said sheets relative to said slider in a direction generally perpendicular to the axis of displacement of the slider;

This description will be made with reference to the appended drawings in which:

The bag shown in Figure 1 has a generally known structure of WO-A-99/65353 which has been commented above.

This bag 1 comprises a mouthpiece 10 and a bottom 11.1. It consists of two main plastic sheets, referenced 12 and 13.

These sheets are connected to each other at the bottom 1 1. In the embodiment shown here, the two sheets are integral from the beginning. However, in an embodiment not shown, these two sheets could be initially separated, then superimposed and fixed to each other at the time of manufacture of the bag.

At the mouth 10, the two sheets 12 and 13 are provided with complementary closure profiles 2 and 3.

These profiles can be the subject of many embodiments. The invention is not limited to the precise embodiment illustrated in FIG.

In the case illustrated here, the sections 2 and 3 are respectively of the male and female type, as is well known to those skilled in the art. However, the invention can be applied to other types of profiles, in particular of the complementary hook type.

In the embodiment of Figure 1, the profiles 2 and 3 are extruded with the sheets 12 and 13 which constitute the bag. However, in an alternative embodiment not shown, these complementary profiles could be worn on support sails reported on the sheets 12 and 13, for example by hot welding or gluing.

As mentioned above, the bag further comprises a slider 5 adapted to actuate the sections 2 and 3 at closing and opening.

This slider can be the subject of many conventional embodiments. A typical example of a slider is described in EP-A-0 479 661. In the embodiment presented here, the slider, made of plastic material, comprises two lateral wings 51 and 52 (or flanks), connected to each other at the same time. a base 50 and which define with an elongated central sole (not visible) two convergent passageways for the complementary interlocking closure profiles 2 and 3.

Thus, when the relative direction of movement of the slider 5 with respect to the closure profiles 2 and 3 tends to move the slider by forcing the profiles into engagement, the bag is closed. When the cursor 5 is moved in the opposite direction, the bag is opened.

According to the invention, at least one of the sheets 12 and 13 has on its outer face, in the vicinity of the zone of grip of the slider 5 (the slider area of the grip, the zone of the sheets 12, 13 of the bag located opposite its flanks 51 and 52), and parallel to the direction of movement of this folder, a bead 6 in the form of a strip constituting an extra thickness on the sheets, of width and thickness sufficient to locally modify the deformability . In the example represented here, each sheet 12 and 13 has a bead 6 in the form of a strip.

This is a bead attached to the sheets, for example by gluing or welding.

In another embodiment, it could come from matter with it. In such a case, the bead is for example obtained by simple extrusion, so that it constitutes a localized excess thickness of the material of the sheets 12 and 13.

In a variant, it can be obtained by coextrusion, so that it consists of a material different from that of the sheets. When the sheets 12 and 13 are particularly deformable, the bead 6 in the form of a strip locally increases the rigidity of the bag, so that support means of an automated machine can come into intimate contact with it, for a perfect immobilization.

When the bead is attached to the sheets, it can be made in the same material as they, or in another material, preferably more rigid. An example is polyethylene of medium or high density.

In any case, it is the broad shape and the extra thickness of the bead that contribute to locally modify the deformability of the bag. As an indication, the bead 6 has a width of between 5 and

15 millimeters and a thickness between 200 and 1000 micrometers.

Where appropriate, the upper surface of the bead may be provided with reliefs or other protuberances facilitating the gripping of the bag. Furthermore, the bead may be made of a relatively deformable material, for example based on rubber or similar to rubber. In this case, the mass that constitutes the bead stiffens locally the bag, but its characteristics resulting from its "rubbery" nature facilitate its grip. In the example of Figure 2, the free ends 51 and 52 of the flanks of the slider are folded inwardly to form a boss 53, 54 respectively, directed towards the opposite side.

The beads 6 here come of material with the sheets 12 and 13. In addition to the aforementioned function, they constitute a stop means which opposes the movement of the sheets 12 and 13 in a direction perpendicular to the direction of movement of the cursor.

In the example presented here, a similar bead 7 is placed on the sheets 12 and 13, facing the sections 2 and 3.

The space between the two beads 6 and 7 and which materializes a groove 8 is used to improve the attachment of the cursor 5.

In the embodiment of Figure 4, the flanks of the slider 5 are also provided with bosses 53 and 54 directed toward each other. The elongate sole is central 55 of the cursor is visible. Due to the presence of these bosses, the sheets forming the main walls of the bag converge towards each other, sections 2 and 3 towards (towards) these bosses.

In other words, from the profiles, the main walls converge towards each other in the direction of the internal space of the bag.

The bag also comprises additional relief means 4 which are designed to ensure sealing by forming a barrier between the sheets 12 and 13, in the closed position of the bag. They are arranged on the inside of the closure profiles. In other words, these means 4 are placed on the inner face of each sheet, facing the flanks 51 and 52 of the slider 5 to be urged towards their sealing position by the slider when it is moved towards the sealing position. .

More specifically, these means 4 each consist of a plastic bead which extends parallel to the axis X-X 'of displacement of the cursor.

To seal, the beads extend exactly opposite one another.

But, as explained above, it happens that one of the sheets 12 and 13 of the bag undergoes a slight translation perpendicular to the direction of movement of the cursor, so that the beads 4 are no longer strictly opposite one against to the other.

This results in a leakage fault.

But because of the presence of the beads 6 in the form of a strip, the sheets 13 are immobilized in the general direction perpendicular to the axis X-X 'of displacement of the slider 5 by contact between the beads and the bosses 53 and 54.

In other words, it "wedges" the positioning of the sheets relative to the slider so that the additional sealing means 4 are perfectly opposite one another and completely provide their sealing function.

Moreover, because of the presence of the sections 2 and 3 on the sheets 12 and 13, these regions of the bag are rigid or slightly deformable. However, the presence of the strip-shaped beads 6 contribute to bringing the sheets 12 and 13 closer together.

Claims

1. Sachet (1) comprising:

- two sheets (12, 13) generally parallel forming its main walls;

- complementary closure profiles (2, 3) respectively fixed on these sheets (12, 13);

a slider (5) for actuating the sections (2, 3) at closing and opening, characterized in that at least one of said sheets (12,

13) comprises, on its outer face, close to the zone of grip of said slider (5) and parallel to the direction of movement of the latter, a bead (6) in the form of a strip constituting an extra thickness, thickness and width sufficient to locally modify the deformability.

2. Bag according to claim 1, characterized in that said bead (6) shaped strip is able to locally increase the rigidity.

3. Sachet according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that said bead (6) has a width of between 5 and 15 millimeters and a thickness of between 100 and 1000 micrometers.

4. Bag according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said bead is also an abutment means adapted to immobilize said sheets (12, 13) relative to said slider (5) in a direction generally perpendicular to the axis ( X-X ') for moving the cursor (5).

Bag according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that said slider (5) comprises flanks (51, 52) whose inner surface each carries a boss (53, 54) directed towards the opposite side. , so that the sheets (12, 13) forming the main walls converge towards one another, said profiles (2, 3) to said bosses (53, 54).

Bag according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises parallel to said profiles (2, 3), between said sheets (12, 13) and at the mouth (10) of the bag, additional means (4) in relief arranged on the inside of the closure sections (2, 3), designed to ensure sealing by forming a dam between the sheets (12, 13) in the closed position of the bag, these additional means (4) being adapted to be urged towards their sealing position by the slider (5) when the latter is moved towards the closed position of the bag , and that said bead (6) is in the vicinity of said boss (53, 54).

7. Bag according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said bead (6) comes from material with said sheets (12, 13).

8. Bag according to claim 7, characterized in that said bead (6) is a bead coextruded with said sheets (12, 13), formed of a different material, for example high density polyethylene when the sheets are made of low density polyethylene.

9. Bag according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that said bead (6) is an element attached to said sheets (12, 13).

10. Bag according to one of claims 7 to 9, characterized in that said bead (6) consists of a deformable material, in particular based on rubber.
