Abstract

On a document referring to other contents, an information evaluation system estimates the degree of a study to which a document writer dedicates himself or herself in a writing process of the document without using an evaluator or other articles. A reference specifying means (21) specifies a reference document to which a document writer has referred in creating an evaluation subject document from the description of an evaluation subject document. An operation information acquisition means (22) acquires a content of an operation performed from document writer's viewing of the reference document up to the completion of his or her writing of the evaluation subject document. An evaluation index calculation means (23) calculates an evaluation index indicating if the document writer has sufficiently studied the document from the operation by the document writer. Additionally, instead of using the content of the operation, time taken by the document writer after his or her reading of the reference document up to the start of his or her writing of the evaluation subject document can be used.
