Abstract

本発明は、ユニコードで表された文字列に言語ごとに異なる文字が含まれる場合においても正確に字形の表示および画数によるソートを行うことのできる電子機器を提供することを課題とする。そのために、 本発明に係る電子機器(１)は、ユニコードによって記述された文字の複数の言語における字形情報を保存する字形保存手段(１２)と、ユニコードによって記述された文字によって構成された文字列の中から１文字を抽出し、抽出された１文字が特定の言語にのみ含まれる言語独特文字であるか否かを判別し、抽出された１文字が言語独特文字であれば文字列の属する言語が言語独特文字の属する言語であると特定する判別手段(７)と、特定された言語における字形保存手段に保存されている字形情報によって文字列を表示する表示手段(６)とを有する。
