Abstract

A voice recognition processing by a client device having high responsiveness and a voice recognition processing by a server device having high recognition precision are promptly selected to improve the processing responsiveness and convenience without any trouble of a user operation. A client device (10) comprises a voice input section (11), a voice recognition difficulty level calculating section (13) for calculating the difficulty level of the voice recognition of a voice signal, a voice recognition destination selecting section (14) for selecting the destination of a voice recognition processing on the basis of the difficulty level of the voice recognition, a first voice recognition section (15) for performing the voice recognition processing, and a communication section (16). A server device (20) comprises the communication section (16) and a second voice recognition section (22) having higher processing capability than that of the first voice recognition section (15). The voice recognition destination selecting section (14) selects any voice recognition destination of the first voice recognition section (15) or the second voice recognition section (22) depending on the difficulty level of the voice recognition calculated by the voice recognition difficulty level calculating section (13).
