Abstract
The object of the present invention is to provide a case of a mobile phone in which a mobile phone can be protected from external shocks by providing an external reinforcing case, and a SIM card and an external memory card can be inserted and ejected without removing a battery, and thus the effects that a production cost is reduced and productivity is improved can be acquired. Further, in the mobile phone according to the present invention, since a battery mounting unit employs a sliding type instead of a detachable type, it is possible to mount and remove a battery easily from the battery mounting unit, and in addition, the SIM card and an external memory card can be inserted and ejected by a simple operation without removing a battery by providing an additional SIM card and an external memory accommodating unit.
Description
Description A CASE OF A MOBILE PHONE
Technical Field
[1] This application claims priority to and the benefit of Korean Patent Application No.
10-2007-71637, filed on 18, July, 2007, the entire content of which is incorporated herein by reference.
[2] The present invention relates to a case of a mobile phone, and in particular, relates to a case of a mobile phone having a battery mounting unit of a sliding type for allowing SIM card(Subscribe Identification Module) and an external memory to be mounted on a rear side of the mobile phone, and an external reinforcing case which can be replaced. [3] Generally, those who are using the mobile phone through which an user can communicate with a counterpart without having any inconveniences in time and places as a mobile communication means are increasing rapidly.
[4] The above mobile phone consists of a keypad unit for operating a mobile phone, a display unit for displaying the operation states of the mobile phone, a transmission and reception unit for inputting and outputting the sounds such as a voice, and a battery unit detachably fixed for supplying a power source to the mobile phone.
[5] As shown in FIG. 4, in a conventional mobile phone, the detachable structure of a battery includes a battery mounting unit on which a battery is mounted on the rear side of a body of a mobile phone, and a locking device for locking the battery mounted on the battery mounting unit is arranged on the upper part of the rear side of the body.
[6] Further, a SIM card mounting unit for mounting a SIM card on which information related to all users such as the available telephone numbers is recorded, and which can be mentioned as an interface between a terminal device, that is, a mobile phone and a network, is formed by collapsing a part of the lower side of the battery mounting unit of the mobile phone, and a fixing unit for fixing the SIM card is provided. Technical Problem
[7] However, since the mobile phone having the above-mentioned structure can be easily destroyed by external shocks, a user should have an additional external case corresponding to an exterior appearance of the mobile phone which the user is using in order to prevent these damages.
[8] In addition, since the mounting unit of the SIM card is arranged inside the mobile phone, there is a problem that a battery must be always removed from a battery
mounting unit so that the SIM card can be mounted. Further, since an additional fixing unit should be provided in order to fix the SIM card to the mobile phone, the production time increases, the production cost increases due to it, and various kinds of operations are required when replacing the SIM card, there are much inconveniences. [9] In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the object of the present invention is to provide a case of a mobile phone in which a mobile phone can be protected from external shocks by providing an external reinforcing case, and a SIM card and an external memory card can be inserted and ejected without removing a battery, and thus the effects that a production cost is reduced and productivity is improved can be acquired.
Advantageous Effects
[10] In the mobile phone according to the present invention, since a battery mounting unit employs a sliding type instead of a detachable type, it is possible to mount and remove a battery easily from the battery mounting unit, and in addition, the SIM card and an external memory card can be inserted and ejected by a simple operation without removing a battery by providing an additional SIM card and an external memory accommodating unit.
[11] Further, since an external reinforcing case which can be replaced is provided, a mobile phone can be protected from external shocks, and it is possible to select the desired colors according to the tastes of users.

[17] In order to accomplish the above objects, the case of the mobile phone of the present invention is characterized in that it includes a battery mounting unit for allowing a battery to be slidden and mounted stably inside a upper side of the case; a spring member formed inside an accommodation space of the battery mounting unit for
pushing the battery to outside; a locking device for fixing the battery; and a memory/ card reception unit for allowing SIM card and an external memory to be mounted on a lower side of a bottom surface of the case. Mode for the Invention
[18] Below, a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be explained in more detail with referring to the attached drawings.
[19] If it is judged that the gist of the present invention may be unclear unnecessarily by the detailed explanation about the related widely-known functions or the structure in explaining the present invention, the detailed explanation will be omitted.
[20] Referring to the attached drawings, when a case of a mobile phone according to the embodiment of the present invention is explained, the same parts are denoted by the same reference numbers.
[21] FIG. 1 illustrates an assembly diagram of a mobile phone according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 2 illustrates a front side and a rear side of a lower case of a mobile phone. As shown in FIG. 1, a case 1, 2 of a mobile phone 100 according to the present invention is divided into a upper case 1, a lower case 2 and an external reinforcing case 3. Therefore, the upper case 1 and the lower case 2 are assembled and then fixed by a screw unit 11.
[22] The external reinforcing case 3 is formed by a metal material such as an aluminum, and can have diverse colors, and is also formed as a cutting shape so that a front side, a upper side, a lower side, a lateral side, and an operation unit of the mobile phone 100 which is not illustrated may not be hindered.
[23] Therefore, the upper case and the lower case 1, 2 assembled by the screw 11 can be inserted into the external reinforcing case 3 along the arrow direction(a) and mounted on it, and they are ejected from the external reinforcing case 3 along the arrow direction (b).
[24] A keypad unit 12(refer to FIG. 3a) is arranged on the lower side of the upper case 1, and a display unit 13 is arranged for displaying the operation states of the mobile phone 100 according to the operations of the keypad unit 12 on the upper side thereof.
[25] A battery mounting unit 14 in which a battery can be mounted in a sliding manner is provided on the upper side of the lower case 2, and springs 15, 15 on both ends inside the battery mounting unit 14 are arranged so that the battery can be easily ejected to outside of the mobile phone 100(refer to FIG. 2a). As shown in FIG. 2b, an external memory accommodating unit 21 and a SIM card accommodating unit 21' formed when a part of a lower end of a rear side of the upper case 2 is collapsed are provided.
[26] FIG. 3 illustrates a front side, a lateral side and a rear side of a mobile phone
according to the present invention. FIG. 3a illustrates a front side of a mobile phone 100.
[27] A keypad unit 12 for operating the mobile phone 100 is provided on the lower side thereof, and a display unit 13 is arranged for displaying the operation states of the mobile phone 100 according to the operations of the keypad unit 12, and other operations is provided on the upper side thereof. In addition, a transmission and reception unit 31, 32 for inputting and outputting the sounds is provided. FIG. 3b illustrates a lateral diagram which is observed along line Y-Y' of FIG. 3a. An operation key 33 for operating, for example, a camera and a MP3 player on the lower side of a part of the lateral side is provided. Further, FIG. 3c illustrates a upper lateral diagram which is observed along line X-X' of FIG. 3a. A symbol 34 denotes an opening/closing unit 34 for opening and closing the battery mounting unit 14, and thus the interior space of the battery mounting unit 14 and the mounted battery can be protected. FIG. 3d illustrates a lower lateral diagram which is observed along line Z-Z' of FIG. 3a, and a symbol 35 denotes a cover for opening and closing the external memory accommodating unit 21 and the a SIM card accommodating unit 21'.
[28] FIG. 3e illustrates a rear side of a mobile phone according to the present invention, and the dotted line(A) denotes a perspective diagram of the battery mounting unit 14 in which a battery is mounted. The dotted line(B) illustrates perspective diagram of the external memory accommodating unit 21 and the a SIM card accommodating unit 21' in which the external memory card 5 and the SIM card 6 are mounted, respectively.
[29] As illustrated in the drawings, after the battery 4 is inserted into the battery mounting unit 14 in a sliding manner, and is fixed to the battery mounting unit 14 by the locking member 36 provided on the upper side. At this time, the spring 15 arranged on both ends inside the battery mounting unit is contracted by the battery 4, and the power source terminal 7 provided in the battery 4 is connected to the power source terminal 37 provided in the battery mounting unit 14. Therefore, power is supplied to the mobile phone 100. Further, the external memory accommodating unit 21 and the a SIM card accommodating unit 21' which are formed by collapsing a part of a lower end of the rear side of the lower case 2 are provided, and the external memory 5 and the SIM card 6 are inserted in a sliding manner and mounted. Therefore, it is possible to insert/eject the external memory 5 and the SIM card 6 easily without separating the battery 4.
[30] Since it is judged that a camera unit 8 which is arranged between the battery mounting unit 14 and the external memory accommodating unit 21, and consists of a camera lens, a flash and a convex mirror has the functions which are identical to those of a camera unit provided in a conventional mobile phone, explanation about it is omitted.
[31] Though the selected embodiments of the present invention are described with using specific conditions, these descriptions are intended only for explanation purpose and it is natural that it is to be noted that various modifications can be realized by the person in the art to which the present invention belongs without deviating the scope of the present invention, which is claimed in the claims illustrated as below within the spirit of the present invention.
[32] In the mobile phone according to the present invention, since a battery mounting unit employs a sliding type instead of a detachable type, it is possible to mount and remove a battery easily from the battery mounting unit, and in addition, the SIM card and an external memory card can be inserted and ejected by a simple operation without removing a battery since an additional SIM card and an external memory accommodating unit are provided.
[33] Since an external reinforcing case which can be replaced is provided, a mobile phone can be protected from external shocks, and it is possible to select the desired colors according to the tastes of users.
Claims
[1] A case of a mobile phone comprising, a battery mounting unit for allowing a battery to be slided and mounted stably inside a upper side of the case, a spring member formed inside an accommodation space of the battery mounting unit for pushing the battery to outside, a locking device for fixing the battery, and a memory/card reception unit for allowing SIM card and an external memory to be mounted on a lower side of a bottom surface of the case.
[2] The case of the mobile phone set forth in the claim 1, further comprising an external reinforcing case for protecting the mobile phone case.
[3] The case of the mobile phone set forth in the claim 2, wherein the external reinforcing case can be replaced.
