Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Schutzschalter (1) mit einem Festkontakt (13), der mit einem ersten Schalteranschluss (14) verbundenen ist, und mit einem beweglichen Kontakt (12), der über eine Schaltmechanik (7) mit einem Magnetanker (9) mechanisch gekoppelt und mit einer den Magnetanker (9) betätigenden Spule (2) elektrisch verbunden ist, die an einen zweiten Schalteranschluss (10) angeschlossen ist. Zur Erfassung des Spulenstroms (IL) ist ein magnetfeldsensitiver Sensor (3) vorgesehen, der mit einer Steuereinrichtung (4) verbundene ist, um das Sensorsignal (SI) mit einer hinterlegten Auslösekennlinie (K) zu vergleichen und bei deren Überschreitung ein Steuersignal (SA) zur Auslösebetätigung der Schaltmechanik (7) zu erzeugen.
