Abstract

A bearing structure for a coating roll according to one embodiment of the invention has a second bearing section for allowing a first bearing section to tilt to follow only deflection of the coating roll in the direction of gravity. Even if the coating roll deflects, it rotates about a specific axis while being deflected and it does not cause run-out of its shaft and does not increase a bearing load during the rotation. Further, even if external force other than that in the direction of gravity acts on the coating roll, the rotation axis of the coating roll does not move. Thus, the bearing structure can achieve high rotational accuracy.
