  • use of the electric device and its associated housing is suitable for rear wheel drive as well as all wheel drive vehicles, and is particularly suited for the use as a "conversion kit" for installations in such vehicles.
  • the various devices 29, 66 and 92 may be a motor provided for driving purposes only, or may be provided as a motor/generator to not only drive but also provide electric power. Where the device purely acts as a motor, the motor would receive electric energy from storage batteries and/or an alternator operatively associated with the vehicle motor.

Abstract
