Abstract

A carbon fiber dispersion film composed of a filmy matrix and carbon fibers dispersed in the filmy matrix, characterized by being produced by spreading a dispersion of carbon fibers in a dispersion medium or a solvent on a substrate in a state of membrane and applying a fluid containing a film forming component for forming the filmy matrix to the dispersion spread on the substrate after the dispersion has lost at least its fluidity. The carbon fiber dispersion film has excellent film strength and can exert expected electrical conductivity and antistatic properties even when the fine carbon fiber content of the film is relatively low.
